Al and his team were so amazing, they saved me! I broke down 50 miles away from Vegas after I had just bought a car in Phoenix. I got the car towed to Triple AAA, and they said they would check it out the next day. Okay, so they checked it out and said I needed a new transmission. I started to cry and freak out because I had work in just two days! I asked how long it would take, and they said usually it would take a month or two, but for them, it would take one to two weeks. I started panicking and called every single place in Las Vegas. I was so desperate that I was bawling my eyes out, saying, "Please fix it today or tomorrow!"I called this guy named Al, and his place is 1st Choice Transmission & Auto Care. I told him the problem, and he told me to bring it in. He had his mechanics on standby, and he ended up working all night to save me, my job, and my car. He got it done in less than two days. He was so sweet and even offered us a ride, knowing how bad our luck was. I one hundred percent recommend him. He actually cares and is a genuinely good guy. Thank you, and God bless you guys. If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't have made it home.

Car trouble on the way to Vegas leads to finding a true gem of a human.About 60 miles from Las Vegas (while driving from Northern California) my 2011 suburban began shifting gears and over heating. Growing up, my Dad was a mechanic and I could hear him telling me to pull over and get a tow .but I didn t. I slowed down, turned the A/C off, and cruised into Las Vegas.On the way to the dealership, I saw 1st choice transmission and thought let s see what they could do. After sharing my story with Al, he immediately hooked my care up and diagnosed the problem. He then called and priced parts right in front of me. He could not have been anymore transparent and fast? I called with no prior appointment. They told me to bring my car in. I dropped it off like 10 o clock. It was ready by 1:30. My problem was it was shifting a little rough. They flushed the transmission for me. now it shifts smooth again. And it was a very fair price. These guys were professional all the way I ll definitely be going back. it's been about a month since AL and his team rebuilt my transmission. They did a really great job at it. Al definitely has a great team and gave me a great price too. I will definitely bring my car back for other maintenance issues.

There are no words to adequately express how grateful I am for the honesty, integrity, and professionalism with which this shop conducts business. I was in Vegas less than one week when my transmission failed. Al and Mario not only accurately diagnosed the issue BUT instead of taking advantage of me recommended I take my vehicle to Ford first so my service contract would not deny partial coverage. They could have done the work then stuck me with a large portion not covered by the 3rd party contract. I would have lost my car. Then, instead of their normal diagnostic rate, they charged me only 25% ($30). Late but we ll deserved, the owner was professional and worked quickly on my car. I needed transmission replacement and after shopping around he offered a price that was literally 100-300 cheaper than everyone else around. I took my car into this place and was provided quick and friendly service. But more Importantly the mechanic named AL not only was PROFFESIONAL and courteous, he was honest. He told me that my problem was minor and that even though i was worried that it was a major problem that was gonna be expensive that it wasn't. We need more mechanics out there like AL. If you need any honest reliable transmission work you should go ask to talk to AL.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Amazing place!!! Initially was going to PepBoys, they were quoting me $280 for just the front brake pad change, $500 if rotors were in need of changing. A friend referred me to Al the day before I was supposed to go to PB. Gave 1st Choice a call, Al was able to squeeze me into his schedule last minute. Went next day, he quoted me $500 for front/back brake pads AND rotors AND an oil change. He saved my life and saved me money. I WILL be going back for other repairs and I've been referring people since I got out of the shop yesterday. Al, thanks a MILLION! See you soon!

We are from out of town and our car over heated. It was the dreaded water pump failure. Not knowing where to go, we blindly called this shop. I m so Glad we did. Al and his crew were awesome. Al quickly secured the parts we needed and got us in and out in less than a day. The work was top notch and he always kept us in the loop. Furthermore he gave us a discount on parts since we were a military family. I d highly recommend coming here. I wish this shop was in California.Very honest and ethical!!

Al Lake, the owner, is first rate. He has owned this place for 20 years and been in the business for 34 years. He knows transmissions. I first called the dealer and the quote I got for my Transmission service was $399, typical dealer price. Al's price was less than half. But more importantly I feel he gave it a personal touch of somebody who cared. It was the first time I've used 1st Choice Transmission and I will be sure to use him whenever I have a Transmission problem. 5 stars for sure.

Al Lake is definitely my go to guy when it comes to my vehicle first job he did was my transmission rebuild and his price beat the other 6 places I called . He genuinely cares about your car and has pride in the work that him and his worker do I trust them both with my car will not go to anyone else unless he recommended I needed to...he's the best..

Brought an old car in for them to check out the transmission. They said they might check it by end of that day or the next day. Ended up taking almost a week. They never even called me after they checked it, I had to call them and ask about it. I guess they were too busy. At least they don't have to worry about my car taking up their time. I took it somewhere else.

Are you tired of taking your car in for one thing and then all of a sudden you feel like you have to replace your whole car? Well Al doesn t do that. He is very straight forward with what s wrong and doesn t try to up sell or make up problems with your car. I have been going to him for everything with my two cars and he always gives me a great price and never makes me feel like I paid to much. If you want somewhere to take your car that s honest and will give you a peace of mind then go here!! #bestcarshopever

Al and the team at 1st Choice went above and beyond with rebuilding our transmission for our Tahoe. We were in town from California and needed it repaired ASAP. We dropped it off on Saturday morning & it was done by Tuesday. (Even with being closed on Sunday) We made it home safely without any issues. Thank you guys sooo much!

They told me my transmission was bad and needed a rebuild for it to fix the problem. Paid 2400.00 and not one thing changed. Picked it up and it was leaking transmission fluid. GREAT REBUILD. Waste of 2400.

We were in town for the Thanksgiving holiday . the owner came in on his day off to access situation... And he made made sure because we were in form at a town that our job was completed within a few days over the Thanksgiving weekend a complete transmission replacement.. They were great when they first opened but now, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. He probably has more customers then he can handle. He wouldn't even return my calls.
