I have a 1994 diesel that 8 other mechanics refused to look at. AJ's was the only place willing to take a look at it. I had a starting problem, and had replaced the fuel injector pump with what I later figured out to be faulty.As I was priming the pump, the starter died. Replaced that, but then my engine ran like garbage because of the faulty pump.This is when I brought the truck to get the pump timed because it was misfiring. Unfortunately, because of the weird circumstances, AJ's misdiagnosed the problem as a worn out engine. (Very understandable because of the results they received when testing the truck as the engine has no computer and is purely mechanical) Because I wasn't about to give up on my truck I went back through and swapped my old injector pump back onto the truck, and because I had already replaced the starter, I had no more issue with the truck being hard to start, the cylinders were all heating up like they should and it ran buttery smooth.So it turned out that my starter had been getting too tired to turn the engine over fast enough to start, and the rebuilt fuel injector pump was faulty which led to the misdiagnosis.Anyways, AJ's customer service was wonderful and wasn't pushy, and made everything right in this series of unfortunate events when I went back and told them what had happened.

Super professional and quick! I choose to go to an actual mechanic for oil changes vs quick-stop oil shops. I will gladly pay more for more skilled hands on my Jeep which usually understandably means higher prices.I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable AJ s was. I called to schedule an appointment and they worked with my work schedule and got me in right away.We are newer in town and I ve been looking for a local mechanic - glad to have found one with AJ s!Service: Oil change

John was amazing, going above and beyond to help us while we were on the road with our 2001 7.3 power stroke bus conversion. Highly recommend AJ's for any of your diesel truck repairs.

In 2018 had my 6.0 power stroke bullet proofed. I have never had an issue with it after AJ s worked on it. Great mechanics.

AJ'S auto service is good. Saved me some money from the crummy Ford dealership.This is an edited review. I used AJ's a couple times and on my last visit I was not very satisfied.

I called up the shop and Michael answered. I asked him if I could get an oil change. He said they use Valvoline oil. I told him I would like to use a special brand that I always use. It cost more but I told him since they couldn't provide it I could bring it in. He said NO. Then he used the analogy, "Would you take a steak to a fine steakhouse to have them cook it for you"? He then said "I've been doing this 42 years and have never heard of anyone providing their own oil". Don't worry though the Ford dealership will do and Powerstroke Performance will do it. No questions asked. And they aren't going to charge me two hours Labor to change it either like Michael said he was.

I've been to AJ's twice. The first time I had major work done. Very happy with the work they did. My diesel truck loves them! Fast turnaround too. They earned the 5 stars.

Please come to this place for auto repair!! These guys are super helpful and expert! I have a license plate couldn t been taken off by other stores but they helped me take the stuck plate off!! Thank you soooo much again

As we were passing through LV Nevada my turbo boost hose kept blowing off called ford they said it would be a few days before they could get to it, the tow truck driver Eric said take it to AJ's if you want it done right and timely, the very next morning they fixed the problem, they were very professional very helpful Awesome Work, if you want your car or truck in good hands AJ's is where you should go!!!

These guys are awesome! Michael, at the service desk was courteous and professional. They fixed my Dodge diesel and even went above and beyond. They also worked with my car shield on my behalf. Highly recommended.

My check engine light came on my vehicle and I took it into AJ s.. Car repairs are always expensive so let me tell you about what I liked about AJ s. They were professional and friendly, most of all honest. They got me in and out quickly and I was very pleased with their service.

This was the first shop I ever took my truck to. I usually do my own work just didn't have the time to do it this time around. They had a three day turn around for me (on a diesel). Parts were standard pricing you'd expect to pay. They saved me a housing bracket for a fan pulley that I know most places would have told me it was busted. when I get in a jam again I'll bring it to AJ's as a loyal customer from here on out.

My husband took his Dodge Ram diesel truck out of mothballs and AJ's Auto Service did an AWESOME job getting her to purr like a kitten again. They also replaced the cracked dashboard and did a fantastic job. They are very friendly and helpful and Mark was absolutely great to deal with! We will definitely be returning when we need to.

This place took $900 of my money to fix something that wasn't wrong on my car, AFTER THAT they told me what the actual problem was and wanted an additional $200-$300 to fix it. Why didn't that problem get taken care of first? No troubleshooting done first, that's why. I got my car back, it ran just as bad as when I took it in because all the money I had for repairs at the time was already spent on them at that point and I couldn't pay them more on top of it. Then they stored all my info under my brother's name who had also gone to them before. For real? My half brother... Different last name. Filed an original review but they say they have no record of the visit because my ACTUAL name was on the review, not my half brother. Derp... A word to the wise, go somewhere that cares about details, problem solving, and doesn't use an impact gun on torque spec parts. Some say these guys are great but if those were real reviews, then I was the exception that ended up getting a completely different car because of my experience here. If you got an older vehicle and are going to think about buying a new one, these guys will definitely speed up the process for you. They were helpful in that way I guess.

I took my truck my truck in for an issue, and AJ s took the time to investigate the cause of the problem. They were in constant contact with me, explaining issues in a way I could understand. I am confidant in the work done and comfortable that I was not taken advantage of...always a concern a woman going to the repair shop. I would recommend AJ s to anyone with vehicle issues. They get it done!!!

I have them make several repairs to my 07 Ram 2500. They are very honest and stand behind their work. I have recommend them to several friends and they were also very satisfied. I was told by dodge in ca, that I needed a new motor, brought it to john and he found that it was a $17 push rod that broke.

I have always taken our vehicles to AJ s auto. In the past the prices were fair and they did good work. Of course those were smaller jobs and fixes. I then took my truck to them for a New engine and it cost me 6k for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma engine. About 6 months After getting the engine I called to tell them that there was white smoke coming out of the tailpipe and it would sometimes rattle and lose power while pouring out smoke from the tailpipe. He told me that does not help him and I need to bring the truck in. I did, only to be told that they couldn t find anything wrong with it. So I took the truck home and the problem persisted. Fast forward 2 1/2 Year s. That rattling noise came back stronger than ever and the truck finally stopped working. Only to be told by another mechanic that the engine has a hard knock and certain pistons were not firing and so on and that it would require the engine to be pulled apart and a new engine would more than likely be needed. He was also surprised that the engine used was a cheaper model and when he found out what I paid he was floored. Not just him, but also another mechanic at a completely different shop. He even quoted me a cheaper price for an original rebuilt motor for a much cheaper price. When I called AJ s to see if there was a warranty. I was told that the warranty had expired. The reason I am writing this is because after I got the new motor and experienced problems with it, I was basically told there was nothing wrong and now that it doesn t work I am being told the warranty expired. Then I am told by 2 different mechanics from 2 different shops that I paid way too much. Then I find out that the problem of the smoke coming out of the tailpipe was coolant related and ultimately the engine overheated. Why couldn t they figure this out? I also told them I was losing oil and it meant that I was putting in oil every few weeks. Wish more could ve been done and they really dug deeper when I brought the truck back in after the engine swap that cost 6k. Needless to say, we will be taking our vehicles to another mechanic that we can depend on.

We broke down in our RV very late on a Thursday evening as we were coming into Las Vegas from California and were towed to AJ's Auto Service by Bustled Knuckles Mobile Mechanic who advised AJ's was known as the Best Mechanic on the West Coast. The Ford dealership couldn't even give us an appointment to diagnose the problem until the following Thursday, a week later. AJ's understood we were traveling and diagnosed the problem late Friday afternoon after we arrived that Friday morning and called us to authorize the repair of the throttle body system. They had the RV repaired on Monday afternoon. We asked them to diagnose and repair an AC problem we were also having and they repaired it by Tuesday early afternoon. We were VERY pleased with their service, expedited repairs, reasonable pricing and professionalism and HIGHLY recommend them. Been taking my F150 here for years. Very few people I trust to do honest auto repair work in this town. Have never been disappointed in the level of service, or work provided. Would not take my truck anywhere else.

I needed a new starter for my Honda Element! I called AJ s and talked to Mark who was very upbeat and knowledgable ! They provided me the best and lowest price! Excellent Customer Service! And Convenient Location! They are also Business Bureau Accredited!So, why should I go to anywhere else? Why shouldn t you?Please don t waste your time with any other!

Truly the last honest mechanics left in Las Vegas. I always trust that they'll fix my car fast and they'll fix it right. The mechanics here have a lot of Ford dealership background however they can pretty much fix anything. I've had my oil changed and brakes done and have been super happy with their customer service. So weather you have a diesel engine or gas, if you have any problems at all AJ's will get to the bottom of it. They always do right by their customers and for that reason alone I'll never go to another shop in town.
