Visiting from Texas. First thing I'd like to mention is, all of their dishes are homemade. From the appetizers to the main plates it's all sublime. Service was amazing and felt welcomed being there. Whether you're a local that hasn't tried this restaurant or a traveler looking for a place to eat. Genoa Station Bar & Grille is a great choice!

It s been since before the lockdowns that I have been here. At the time, the owner was selling and opening a new restaurant in South Lake Tahoe near my home, but that fell through, so I was surprised to find him and his son still here.He makes his own fries, which are AMAZING, as is the coleslaw, and I m a slaw snob.My next door neighbor had the Rueben and loved it. She ll definitely come back with her family as will I.Please support this family owned business. You won t be disappointed!

Walked in with a group of over 20 people and the man running the show was sleeping in the corner. We had immediate doubts but were quickly proved wrong. He handled our orders like a boss, was incredibly organized, didn t confuse or mess up a single order, and the food, which tasted amazing, was out in under 20 mins after ordering. He brought all of the kids food first, and was an amazing server. I can t recommend this place enough. All of us could only rave about the food and no one was upset with their order. And be sure to get the tots!

Nice little joint. Food was very good. Service was great, but a little slow. But, this was a one man operation and we were on vacation, so it's all good. We were disappointed that there was no Mexican food available. Apparently that's just on Tuesdays. Standard cafe menu of sandwiches, burgers, etc. Done very well though. A good place to come in this darling little town. Would come back and I recommend.

The pork rinds were delicious and the chicken tenders and fries are pretty good. The wings weren t great. Staff was very friendly. Seems like the menu changes daily so ask the bartender what they have.

Out looking at the fall colors and stopped in at this little place and what a surprise, extremely friendly place and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the coconut shrimp, OMG good. The wife had his Rubin, so big she couldn't finish it, and he pours a good Rum and coke.

A really beautiful bar and grille. The staff seemed to be just two people, but the service and food were excellent regardless. The blue cheese burger was perfect. The sweet potato fries and french fries were both top notch. I very much would recommend a stop.

Very friendly workers but we came on a Tuesday. 2 adults 2 kids, no menu only a verbal description of I believe 4 Mexican dishes they were making that day. We felt obligated to stay because he was so kind and excited about the menu.. Food was decent but when our bill came it was $74!!! Waaay to high in my opinion. Yes. My husband had 2 beers but for a family I would not recommend.

Uhm.. probably the worst experience I've had in 10 years. Terrible service and I think the food served was as bad as a mini mart store.. waiting for an hour for lasagne and crab cakes.. Cold food and way over priced.Nothing is homemade. There were just 2 other people in the restaurant and they were pist too..Never again. I'll get a corn dog from maverick instead.

What a delightful surprise! Genoa Station looked quaint from the street, but inside it was both charming and historic...almost like having a delicious breakfast in an old west home dining room. The walls are lined with plaques informing of local history, including an outstanding map of all the wagon trails west from Missouri to California. Food was delicious and plentiful. Service was timely and attentive. Price was moderate and appropriate. I give this place 5 stars if you like old west charm, history, and good food..

Carson Valley's best kept secret in Genoa. Family owned restaurant. Great food and service. Best Mexican food on Tuesdays. I have been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Tried and true recipes. The Reuben pastrami is the best. Breakfast burritos and good ole American breakfast are the best. Will try the ribs next. Price is good. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Decent lunch. French fries (my personal favorite) we're excellent. Salad was good except it was chopped so much that it was difficult to fork.

A very pleasant discovery in Genoa. Attractive, bright, clean and airy, brought to life by friendly staff who clearly take pride in their business. Delicious food and good conversation. Clearly a favorite with locals.

We were a little concerned that we were the ONLY people in this restaurant at 5pm on a Saturday. But, the food was great. The staff was friendly and great with the kids. By the time we left, the place was starting to get busy. It was only 5pm on a Saturday, in a very tiny town.

What caught my eye was the front signage, "Welcome to the Youngest Bar in Genoa." With all of the historical sites and shops, I had to check this place out.Proprietors Jesus and Fortino are awesome. They warmly welcome old timers and newbies to their place. I was looking for a small afternoon snack and decided to try their Buffalo Wings and they were delicious with enough heat.

The Rojas Brothers treat their patrons like family. The food is homemade, delicious, consistent and reasonably priced. Also, they can accommodate you if you eat gluten or dairy free.

Great spot for breakfast! Fortino was super nice. The sausage gravy and the bloody marys, both made from scratch, are to die for. I would definitely come back.

Was looking for a small town family restaurant and mailed it with this place. It was snowing as well which added to whole atmosphere of this place. Great service too, will definitely be going back.
