I brought my vehicle for an issue. When leaving not even 5 miles issue happened again. I turned around issue went away by the time I got back. I left again not even 14 miles issue happened again. They were closed i had to wait all night in the cold. They came next morning and did the same thing they did the day before. They charged double the bill. I questioned why and asked to speak to boss. They said we are not sure we fixed your issue but it's either pay or we call the cops. The absolutely worse busisness practice I have ever seen. Stay away!!!

I read the reviews after I was in a hotel and I had D&S tow my semi to there shop to be fixed. I was a little worried but in all fairness they did a great job. The tow was trouble free the price may have been a little high but look where they are located the price was fair the work was perfect and it was done in a very efficient manner to say the least. The bill was clear accurate and once again I was surprised. Thank you to the owners and the mechanics great job

I wouldn t use this place. They have no knowledge of a newer diesel or how to fix them. They blame every thing on tuning or being deleted. It s definitely lack of skill and being uneducated. The owner is the worst. I fixed the problem on my own after taking my truck in and dealing with these clowns. Hey guess what it wasn t due to tuning or being deleted. It was a wire harness issue. Don t waste your time with this shop.

Still waiting on a refund for a botched job on wheel seal and bearing. We agreed on fair price but have yet to see payment 3 months later.

Very disrespectful. I asked the mechanic in front a couple simple questions and he responded in didn t you just talk to the lady in the shop I never spoke with the women in the shop and I felt like that was very unprofessional of them to treat their customers the way they did. They also didn t seem to conserned about work they were all in the shop on lawn chairs smoking cigarettes.

Recommended to us by a place in Baker Nevada. Had some problems with our trailer brakes. Walked into to the shop. Rudest man I have ever met looks at me and says sorry lady, it will be several days before I can help you. I asked if he could just take a quick look as we were far from home. He ignored me and looked away. No recommendations s or cordial words were spoken. Elder woman seeking help. Would have taken 5 minutes.

We called to schedule an oil change for our diesel truck and asked the price. We were told "Between $110 and $120 and since we were out of state and didn't have anywhere to dispose of the oil we decided to let them do it instead of doing it ourselves. The next week when we had it done and went to pay it was $325. We were told the additional fee was for the fuel filters and labor that came in the "kit". If it was a "kit" then they knew it was going to cost $325, not $110-$120. We were warned not to trust any mechanics in Ely and I guess they were right...

Our KW was leaking air on a trip through Ely. We called the shop and they said to swing by. The mechanic got on it right away, found the issue, repaired it and has us on our way in less than an hour. The price we were charged was very reasonable and the speedy service was much appreciated.

I broke down north of Ely and got towed in as I needed a hose replacement. The mechanic said they d get me set up for $125 the next day. The next day came and my car was still not ready so had to wait an additional day. When I picked up my car I was then charged $550 for a simple hose replacement. I turned it on and did not make it out of the parking lot. Car had a huge loss of power and would not stay on. Went inside to let them know and mechanic said he couldn t find anything after looking it over for about 20 min. He told me I should be set. I let him know I didn t feel safe driving as I needed to drive home to Las Vegas which was 4 hours away he let me know that I can call them to get towed back. I got maybe 1 mile down the road this time and heard a loud pop and again a loss of power so I turned it around and went back. The mechanic then took it back into the shop and was speaking with another mechanic who started to scold him after they spoke about what s going on with my car. That mechanic told the one working on my car it s because you take everything apart, who do you think you re impressing he then stormed out. So after being there an additional our he said he had disconnected the turbo and didn t fully connect it. I don t know why he had to do that since it was a simple hose replacement. The car seemed to be okay for about two hours and then the check engine light turned on. I am now having to pay 1600 to replace the entire turbo and repair everything the mechanic has done. To conclude, I feel as they are predatory to those who are not from the area as it s obvious we are not going to be repeat costumers as we are just passing through. They price gouged me and did not fix my car, they made it worse. If you are passing through I recommend you going elsewhere.

Had a transmission delivered and installed here the first week of July this year. Spent 3 nights in my motorhome in front of the shop. They let us hook up to their electricity and water to stay comfortable. Nice people. Would highly recommend D&S for any service needed. They also work on big rigs and UPS trucks. Thanks guys.

Our serpentine belt was destroyed by a locked up air conditioning compressor. These folks went out of the way to fix it and order parts overnight. They got us on our way safely. Great luck for us!

Our trucks transmission went out about 20 miles from Ely, babied it into town. Next day came here and they worked with us with a payment plan with a down payment since we had our girls and needed to resume on our move to WA.Very awesome knowledgeable employees. If you want a job done right, definitely come here

Truck broke down 80 miles outside of ely that was the nearest place to get it towed. Was living in my truck camper, was obvious to see. They ghosted me and didn t return my calls for 2 days. They acted as if my service was a burden to them. The truck ended up being a shot motor which again they ghosted me for 2days on, did not give me an option to find a new motor or suggest places in the area that would give me a fair price for the truck to be parted out. Would not trust them with a lawn mower. Overpriced poor service

Just want to give a huge shoutout to the awesome folks at D & S auto repair. We came up from Reno to do some construction work for a couple of weeks and had an issue with one of our diesel pick ups. They got us in and out super fast and super cheap. Truck is running great !! Hope we don t have any more issues but if we do... we know where to go. Thanx again

I would not recommend to even bother stopping there to ask for help. They are not helpful at all even if your in a bind.

Heater Core failed on our way to Vegas while towing our 5th wheel on a Sunday evening. Made it to KOA camp ground they recommend D&S Repair. Showed up at 8 AM on Monday morning they said they will fit me in. they offered me a ride back to my trailer. They called me 4 hours later told me my truck was ready and came and picked me up. I inspected the work it was out standing the cost was also very reasonable. Thank you D&S Repair

Great place, good people.My air system failed and called D & S Repair. They ordered the replacement air dryer filter kit without deposit.The next morning after UPS delivery of the part Kevin went to work getting it installed. Then we tested and discovered that the relief valve on the dryer was bad not allowing the air system to air up properly.They tryed to locate a new one locally but no luck so Kevin adaped a temporary one that got me on the road again.Fair pricing when your in a pinch to get a repair done quickly.Thank you all for your help.

We have a diesel motor home. The fuse of transmission controller and many other parts kept blowing up on our way from Dallas to San Francisco, forcing the transmission shifted to 3rd gear when we're passing Eli. I checked but couldn't find the cause and prepared to have a long slow driving back to Dallas. We stopped by D&S and explained to them what happened. They took time to listen to me and gave me an advice that we were able to "fix" the problem and continue our trip to San Francisco. I am very appreciative for their help !

Was trucking down HWY 93 south, 1 of my injectors went bad. Called up D and S repair service and the owner himself came out on a Saturday afternoon. He made sure my rig was repaired and up and running with no issues before leaving his shop. His team of mechanics and office personnel were all professionals and new exactly what to do. Very happy with the results. Couldn't of ask for better service on a breakdown.. AAAAA ++++ repair shop.

Great service! These guys know their stuff! My trucks starter went out at the gas station, I waited at the gas pump for about ten minuets till they came and found the problem. Had it fixed in no time! VERY reasonable rates too. Really impressed with their work!

Respect Goes Along Way with these Fine Gentlemen. they helped me out even though they were swamped with other work. got me in and out in the same day. I would definitely use these guys again if I'm in the area.....

They are glad to misdiagnose your truck and promise your truck to be repaired by a certain time. Them deny everything but charge you for nothing. Save time money and frustration and call Jimmy Olsen. He will fix their screw up. You will thank me.

Doug saved our bacon when our alternator died driving from Vegas to Boise. They helped us after hours and were very gracious. We owe doug and sandy a lot. Found out he does custom work, will be driving back there to keep business with good people.

Had a diesel issue coming from Elko on my way to Vegas...it was close to closing time, but these folks got me taken care of and on the road the same evening. Highly recommended.

This place is terrible. They couldn't diagnose the problem with our truck and then charged us for two hours of "labor" during which they googled how to fix the car to no avail. I'm not paying for your education I'm paying for your expertise. None to be found here. Save yourself the headache. Also they were extremely rude about all of it.

I called for help around 6:30 am. He came to us and got us running by 7:30. Then over to his shop and fully repaired by NOON. Then on our way to Salt Lake City we were! Thank you D & S Repair!

I wish I could give 0 stars.... there rip off place that will Rob you because your in the middle of no man's land and the service sucks.. all this place can do is change parts.. they are not good at knowing what's wrong and fixing it.. stay away or just throw your money away at a casino.. atleast u have a better chance of success than this place
