Great place. They are pretty short staffed but best place to go for intoxaloc calibrations removal and putting in. Closest place to go visit from white pine countyThe owner is nice and reasonable shame they are short staffed, but hopefully, they will get help soon. They try to help you as much as possible. Just understand they are doing the best they can right now, and they sure try to do as much as possible for you

Can't say I recommend this company the owner is very judgmental ,communication is definitely not there, They charge you for a diagnosis and don't do it nothing is ever their fault even though you can prove that it is. They will hold your car hostage.. They definitely lost a good opportunity. I will not take any of my vehicles here anymore. I Don't think they care. The owner literally said that he's rich He doesn't really care .. but I sure do They give mechanics a bad name. Thanks to them. I have trust issues I definitely understand all the ones Star reviews I don't understand all the five one I suspect drinking I would say don't go to these guys. There's plenty of better mechanics that actually do what charge you .. I wish the best for this company but I can't be a part of people that like to lie to you. Take advantage of you and steal from you and it sucks because I really wanted it to work :(

My experience with DC auto was great at the beginning. The first time I reached out to them, they promptly responded and got my vehicle in that day. They commented about what was going on, and they stayed late to assure the vehicle would be done that day. They even tried to stay within by budget to get the vehicle mechanically sound. The second time I reached out to them I had bent a lower control arm, they had the vehicle for two days and I had to reach out to them for any communication or updates. The third time I took a vehicle there I had a 9am appointment that I scheduled via messenger for an oil change and emissions testing. When I showed up for said 9am appointment I was met with "oh, I remember telling you to come in at 9am but forgot to schedule you. Let me add you before someone scheduleds that time.". They asked me if it would be ok to keep the vehicle overnight due to a "logjam" I agreed. The next day I needed the vehicle back so they allowed me to pick it up unfinished. I was told they did the oil, but ran into electric issues when doing the emissions when I got into my vehicle a bang energy drink and a code reader had been left in my car. I let them know and the scanner was removed. I had to take the vehicle back to finish the emissions issue. The last time I took my vehicle they had it for a few hours then notified me it was ready to pick up. Upon pick up they told me it was not an issue with my purge valve but a gas cap. When I got to my vehicle I had noticed they put 30 miles on the vehicle. I will not be taking my vehicles back to DC auto. I don't know what happened after that first visit but after my last visit. Never again... 30 miles on a vehicle even to test drive it is a bit excessive.

Awesome guys. This place definitely has a mentality about making customers happy. I took my car in because there was a leak that I just couldn't find where it was coming from. The guys checked it out for me and found a very simple fix which they immediately fixed. I was expecting to pay for their time and inspection but to my surprise they waved it off and thanked me for choosing them. Both the gentlemen who helped me we're very courteous and knowledgeable the whole time. I will definitely come back here with any car issues and will recommend to my friends and family. Thanks again!

I was driving across the country when I had my car breakdown. I called DC Auto and they were very understanding of my situation and were eager to help me out. They ended up going out of their way to get the part my car needed so that I could get back on the road as quickly as possible. Trustworthy, friendly, honest, professional group of people here. So grateful they were there to help when I needed it most- they made it a very smooth, easy going experience.

Messed up my car radio. Didn t bother to fix it or refund me. This placed has screwed me over twice. Would not recommend at all. The workers don t know what they are doing there.

I felt so lucky to find these guys when my car started having trouble on the middle of a long road trip from California to Wyoming! These guys went out of their way to help me at the last minute, and while they couldn t fix the problem completely, they found a working solution that allowed me to get the rest of the way home safely. Thank you to David and the rest of the team, you guys were incredibly helpful. If I lived anywhere closer, they would absolutely be my go to for their awesome customer service.

Getting a DUI and having to have an interlock in my truck was an Absolutely Miserable experience, but it was my fault and I ll face the consequences. I m just very glad I did not hurt anyone. DON T DRINK AND DRIVE!But the guys at DC Auto we re very easy to talk to and professional. They did a great job working on my truck.If you do get a DUI and need an interlock go to DC Auto to get it.They did me good!Thank You!

Had them install a new stereo and speakers and several small repair jobs on my truck. When I picked it up they hadn't done several of the small fixes because "we didn't do them". They charge top dollar (and do great work on stereos with the soldered connections and heat shrink) I just don't think they are great with repairs.Went back when stereo died to have them remove it so I could get replaced. Mentioned that they had seen my review and wanted to make it right. David made sure I was good with the work and I was very happy. Then they didn't charge for the removal and replacement with the new stereo. Thanks much David!

If you are looking for Honest Mechanics, this is where you want to go. They also have great customer service. I am having work done on my vehicle a little at a time and they always get the job done and explain things to me so I know exactly what's going on. Here's the thing, I went in with a list thinking it was going to cost me a fortune on my first visit. They narrowed that list to one part. I really appreciate that. So happy I was referred to this place. I highly recommend them from audio to engine and more.

10/10 would recommend DC auto. I am a very inpatient person. I took my car in on a Monday for problems with my turbo sensor, and then they had found other problems wrong with my wiring and fix it all. I got my car back a couple days later, but it was well worth the wait. I can tell the huge difference and they went above and beyond they were also very good at updating me on my cars status. My car was a bit difficult but they forsure know their stuff.

I am not a customer, I just gave a friend a ride. However, after my experience giving my friend a ride, I can say, I never will be a customer here. It was the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. My advice to anyone in Elko, do your research, ask around. You have options. Don't accept abuse, in any form, from a business. If you are my friend, and use DC Automotive, ask someone else for a ride, because I will never go back there.

Went in for AC issues, David and his team took the time to get my car running right. Knowing I had a trip planned and was short on time, David went into the shop at 4am to finish my car and get me on the road. They were all friendly, professional and proficient. Highly Recommend!

Ran into check engine light & other side issues while traveling from out of state.They got my Lexus RX450H in & diagnosed quickly & accurately,, and I was on my way in no time - I would highly recommend this shop for their fast friendly & no nonsense way of treating new clients!

A terrible shady man. Terrible business experience. I was traveling by visiting some friends and my car had an injector problem. All he did was unplug the injector and said that it was fixed and charged me $400. Would NOT recommend.

Someone recommended DC Auto to me and I m so glad I called! I ve been wanting remote start on my truck for about two years now. DC auto was amazing at answering my questions and helping me decide what to get. I also was 3 hours late dropping my truck off and David still let me bring my truck in and got it done. I would highly recommend DC Auto!

Not a good experience!!!My car was brought there to get some electrical work done on my a/c. It was there from mid August to mid October. They were terrible at giving any kind of progress updates. I Would have to call several times before anyone would pick up the phone. They told me to text or leave a voicemail. My texts never got a response and their voicemail box was full.Finally after two months of this they said they were done. I got to the shop and paid $3000.00. They left my car a disaster!!! I went out to my car(which looked like it had been through a mud storm) to find my battery dead. And the sunroof open slightly (luckily it hadn t rained)They jumped the car and I left.My car was on empty!!! This was not how it was brought there. I never let it go until the fuel light comes on. On my way home I had to stop on the side of the road because the weather stripping around my door had been pulled off and was sitting behind my seat. I put it back on and started home again.I could barley see out of my window, because of the vape residue made it look foggy when driving into the sun. (I noticed them vaping In the shop while paying my bill) Once home I had to detail the entire car. They Had taken the dash mat off and everything out of the dash including the mat was in the back seat. My radio and passenger seat fuses were blown, and the tear in my passenger seat was much larger.Then I found a bunch of extra screws that they hadn t put back in. My dash is loose. And in the passenger side of my console the carpet hadn t been put back in properly. It was pushed down into the slide that the seat moves in and was catching so the seat wouldn t go all the way forward. Unfortunately it has been cold so I m not sure if my A/C is working or if it s just the outside air that s cool.If someone paid me $3000 to work on their car I would make sure it was put together properly. And if it looked like my car did I would have it detailed too. It wasn t brought there looking like that!!!

AC compressor went out in my Honda CRV while on a family road trip from Colorado to Oregon. David and his team stayed 45 minutes after closing time to diagnose the problem, then offered to open early the next day to get me on the road. Parts are scarce in Elko, but he made sure to use the right stuff and did the job professionally. 2 weeks and 2000 miles later we made it home and everything still works perfect. Honest mechanic who knows his stuff, fair price, good workmanship, and professional service. When in Elko, go with DC Auto.

We broke down during a roadtrip. They fit us into their busy schedule. The owner even took time out of his day off to get us back on the road. Very thankful to have found a nice mechanic away from home.

These guys know their stuff. We just needed a remote start put into a 2019 Tacoma. They did it for a reasonable rate and quickly. Personable and professional plus I got to stay local. My options for this work was Twin falls, Reno or SLC.Thank you Dave.

Taken both my vehicles here. Fast knowledgeable service. Even had some stereo work done. They didn't try to string me along as I already had some ideas of what may be wrong. They were spot on. Vehicles run great and stereo sound amazing.

I took my truck with no problems on my sound system, just not enough power and I spoke to a guy two weeks prior to the appointment about it and he said that they can check it out to see if I can add more stuff or just my equipment is not that good, when I got my truck back they charged me $280 just to dropped all power on my amps and they also broke one amp and they didn t said anything about it, they just offered me a new system, now I lost my money and my amp, I just wanted an opinion of what I got now and If there was room to improve on my system

Had a air bag light on my 2010 Silverado he got it fixed and now my truck is safe again. Could be any happier with the service. He was the only one straight up with me.

I am so grateful and forever in debt with these good hearted people! Traveling from California to Kansas to deal with the passing of my father and my heat went out they fixed me up for my kids thank you so much DC auto I truly appreciate it good people.

Owner was extremely flexible with his time, very knowledgeable and thorough. Turnaround was really quick, and I felt very safe going back out to a remote job site after the repair was completed.

Key fob on my truck stopped working and they installed a remote start and lock/unlock app to my phone. These guys are very knowledgable and capable of doing most any job that is brought to them.

Darn Nevada road construction got me, put a hole in my radiator. I found then based on rating and rating and they didn't disappoint. They went above and beyond, I recommend this shop!
