Capital Ford is the absolute best. Joe Wink worked tirelessly to get our new vehicle ordered. After the truck was delivered, both the sales manager and service department reached out to us to make sure everything was satisfactory. When there was a software update needed on the truck, Capital Ford sent a technician TO OUR HOME, rather than have us make the trip from Spanish Springs to Carson. Their dedication to service and the customer is amazing. Definitely worth the drive to Carson to do business with them. I ll never buy from any other dealership.

I dropped off my truck the night before the appt. Day and I was told it may take two days to complete which was fine with me, and I received a call the next day to let me know the service was complete. Very nice, I live out side of town and I needed to make arrangements to get into town to get it picked up, capital Ford brought the truck to me and went over all the repairs with me in my driveway this may be common practice but I still felt it was above and beyond. Great service and great people helping me.Thank You

Called to make appointment to have a recall done. Denise was super helpful. She told me it was a software update and could be done at my home. We scheduled an appointment, the tech, Kurt, arrived as planned, spent 30 minutes on the install and done. How is that for service! Nice people. Thanks.

Awesome experience! It was very simple making the appointment and I was happy with the reminders. Check in progress was very simple and my representative was very friendly and professional. The amount that f time for the service was acceptable. The representative was very thorough in explaining what was done.

Zero stars is what I d love to give Purchased a brand new F150 XLT in 2019 from them and paid for the extended warranty and maintenance plan and thought everything would be awesome. It has been much more of a nightmare now being locked in with the extended warranty and maintenance plan with this dealership. Need an oil change how about a month out. It gets worse if you need service to fix something. First you have to make an appointment to have the problem diagnosed, then they ll make an appointment to put you in the queue . This is not an actual appointment by any date or time you are now just in a line. My truck sat for a week before I found out that they didn t even start to work on it. So I gave them another chance and scheduled for a different week. They promised they could get it done in that week. Well that didn t happen either it spilled into the following week. Long story short it took roughly 3 weeks for what amounts to 13 labor hours to fix my truck. Insult to injury the work to fix the rattle didn t work, but I got my truck back with the same rattle. This dealership has woes that extend probably to the top. I don t feel as though I will ever get any decent service there. Unfortunately nothing seems to change because they have pages of one star reviews, echoing what I m speaking about.

I had a great experience with Capital ford once I was able to get my car there! Desiree was fantastic and kept me aware of what was going on. She made sure that the service dept knew what had previously happened and what was wrong. Even though it took a few weeks to get fixed, they went out of their way and beyond to find the electrical issues and repair them! I m still waiting on a replacement part that had to be ordered but have my car back and runs great! Only reason I gave 4 stars is they need to offer concierge service for the lake area as not everyone has transportation to and from the dealership when you have to leave your car. Others do it so why not?

They did a mobile Ford recall service on my Escape at my home. Debbie was pleasant and followed up on the appointment. Service technician called before come to the house. He was 15 minutes early. He was pleasant professional and the whole time needed was well under a half-hour. Easily the simplest least hassle auto dealer experience

My husband bought his truck here for service so after he passed, I continued to do so. Been in twice for oil change services and minor fixes. Both times I waited over 2 hours, but the waiting area is comfortable and coffee is great. Staff is very friendly and nice. Check in and check out process is easy and fast. We ll be back! Thanks!

I was told by my local Cadillac dealer that they would no longer service my 2004 Escalade, which by the way is in excellent condition, because it is too old. I have been a loyal customer since I bought it practically brand new. Now they will no long service their own product! I contacted Capital Ford who I had done business with when I owned my Mustang. They were happy to help me. Thank you Capital Ford. I appreciate your service.

My 2023 Transit Trail dashboard displayed a battery warning light and message "Charging System Service Now." I read on various Ford online forums this error message is common among Ford vehicles. The owners stated their outcomes, after repair, were varied ... sometimes the warning light continued, and sometimes the problem was fixed. The problem with mine is attributed to a wiring quality control issue by the Ford-approved company that completed the build out of my van. I want to give a big shout out to Jay, the electrical tech at Capital Ford Carson City, who gave me a fantastic description of the work he would accomplish. I'm pleased to report this problem is resolved.

Cap Ford sends me excellent maintenance advisories. Your sales area/waiting room in the Carson City NV Ford facility is well designed for customers working on line, and the representatives are professionals who keep us informed throughout the service. Special thanks to Capital Ford for handling the recent safety recall so well. I know how chaotic recalls can be. Your office staff were unfailingly organized and friendly, and the mechanic who drove to my Tahoe residence and installed the needed part in 5 minutes saved me driving time and costs. Thank you!

My F150 needed work immediately. The service department got me in right of way! I ve dealt with bigger Ford service departments in other places and haven t received this kind of service! If your Ford is having a problem, I highly recommend taking it to Capitol Ford! Oh and ask for Angela, she was great to work with!

I live in Reno and pass right by Corwin Ford to drive my F-150 to Carson City Capital Ford. I've had 2 MAJOR services done at Capital (phasers, replace cat converters). On both occasions the work has been splendid, rapid and accurately priced. It SUCKS when stuff breaks or needs service, but I love this truck. I had BAD SERVICE at Corwin in Reno. My local mechanic is Gregg's Garage whom I also love, and they recommended Capital. I could not be happier.

They are busy fine. They don t have enough technicians okay. Not once but twice I show up for my appointment and they don t have me scheduled. Instead of apologizing, both times I had to argue that no, I did not receive a phone call, and no, no one sent me an email. Then they have to go to their manager and lo and behold, nope, no one called or emailed. Then I was told okay when we get the parts, we will make sure they do it while you wait. So I get there before they even open so I m the first person there. I wait for over 2 hours and when I asked how my car was looking, I get told what do you mean? Your car won t be ready until at least 5pm. So I have to get a ride home. They don t offer me a shuttle because I live 30 minutes away, so screw you lady figure it out. Then I call at 4 because no one has given me an update to find out that my car won t be ready until 5pm the next day! I have to take a $80 Uber there because again there s no shuttle and screw you. So I get my car and the fing thing is still not working. I wouldn t give them any stars if that was an option.

I brought my Bronco in because of a warning light. I waited about a month for the appt. They kept car for 2 or 3 days. A part had to be ordered so I picked up the vehicle. No one ever called to say the part arrived. I called after about 6 weeks / surprise, they had the part! I was told on the phone they d have the car for a day. The confirmation email said 2 days. When I arrived, they said 2 or 3 days. There is also a pretty aggressive letter from the manager attached to emails and posted on site about how busy they are & about how patient you need to be. My biggest complaint when I picked up my car: seat, steering wheel and radio had all been adjusted AND the very next day I got a recall notice. How could they not tell me that work needed to be completed!? So now we start all over again. Ugh. Capital is a thousand times better than Corwin in Reno. I hope they can hire some people & manage appointments more efficiently..

My oil change took two and a half hours with billing mistakes. Then a sticker was placed over the rear view mirror sensor. After I spent 15 minutes going through my settings, I had to call the dealer. I was finally called back and informed of the sticker. Time to do a little training and quality control Capital Ford. I will probably go to a different dealer for the next service. I had a previous issue when the oil filter was too loose and leaked all over my garage. Fortunately I noticed and found the filter a turn and a half loose. Quality control.

I want to provide feedback on Capital Ford s recent repair of my 2010 F150 Lariat SuperCab.My Truck had a broken exhaust manifold that was allowing exhaust gas to enter the cabin heating system.I scheduled the repair through the Capital Ford Service department and was provided with a service date. After scheduling the repair, one of the high-pressure hoses on the power steering system failed, allowing fluid to shoot out, and causing the power steering to not operate.I had my truck towed to Capital Ford and met with a Service Advisor. She asked me to describe the problem(s), asked several technical questions, and wrote up the work to be done. She was not put off by the fact that I needed additional work beyond what was scheduled to fix the power steering. The Service Advisor assured me that a licensed mechanic would inspect my Truck and provide a diagnosis.A few days later, the Service Advisor showed me that a Capital Ford Mechanic had provided me with an online summary diagnosis of my two repairs, to include what work needed to be performed, the cost estimate, and what could be expected if more work was required (the exhaust manifold replacement may have needed additional work if it was found that additional studs needed to be removed).I reviewed the detailed diagnosis with the Service Advisor and approved the work. This authorized parts to be ordered for the repair, which she monitored. She also established a phone text process to provide me with status on the repair and I could ask questions. The Service Advisor kept me appraised of the progress along the way, answered my questions about when it would be completed, and contacted me when the repair was complete. Having the line of communications that the Service Advisor and Capital Ford provided allowed me to participate in the process. When I went in to pick up my Truck, the Service Advisor provided me a summary of the repair that included the parts used and the cost. I was pleasantly surprised that the cost aligned with the estimate. She also described the qualifications and years of experience of the mechanic that had performed the repairs, which was impressive. Before paying, I went out to view the work that was done on my Truck. While I was looking under the hood, one of the other mechanicsmstopped by and asked how the repairs looked to me. We stuck up a conversation and he answered several questions that I had about the power steering repair. I really appreciated that he had the desire to check that I was satisfied with the work.I couldn t be happier with the results. Two weeks later and several miles on the truck, the exhaust leak no longer exists, and the truck is much quieter both running and at idle. The power steering is back to normal.I want to thank the Capital Ford Service Department and especially he Service Advisor for her professionalism in managing the process and keeping me in the loop during the repair. Given the results, I plan to take my other vehicles to Capital Ford and would recommend their Service department to anyone.

Worst service experience I ve ever been a part of. The lack of communication between the service advisor and customer is a disgrace. Made an appointment for my truck 2 months in advance, dropped the truck off the day before my appointment and it still took 3 days for them to look at. They didn t fix any of the issues that I had. Then forgot to do the oil change that they charged me for. If I could rate less than one star, I definitely would!

Recall service and communication was horrible. I followed up every day after waiting 1 month for an appointment and dropping my truck off.Every single time I followed up I could not be given any estimate of time.In fact one time I was told my parts were arriving later in the week, only to find out later in that week, this was made up? Still not sure about that one.My truck was rendered underivable for over 2 months by the part failure and no offer of help was made (ie loaner vehicle). In fact they told me to contact my insurance if I need a ride to work.Too bad I am forced to work with them as corwin ford told me they can t even get me in for an appointment indefinitely

April was excellent to work with -- sharp, detail oriented, professional, friendly, and confidence-inspiring. I want her to be my service advisor going forward.

Had an appointment at 9:00. Adam said they were running a little late. I appreciated the honesty. So made a decision to get a ride home which was provided within 10 minutes. The oil change and check of entire vehicle was done by 12:00. Reasonable price, good service. Can t beat that. Thanks.

Unlike a similar business closer to home, Capital Ford in Carson City, NV was great. I was able to get an appointment online within a week (the other dealership could not get me in until January 2024). The email contact was great as was the follow up. When I took my vehicle in for service the service advisor was welcoming and friendly. He told me the service would take about 1.5 hours but it was done in less than a hour. The waiting room was clean and the chairs were comfortable and WI-FI was easy access. Overall a great experience and I will drive a little further to get this type of service at Capital Ford.

Horrible nightmare, took them 2 months to diagnose failed transmission, and even though it was covered under warranty they managed to charge me $450 for a useless transmission flush that it was not yet time for by $60,000 miles. I was consistently told untrue things, it was going to be fixed by next week for 8 weeks in a row! They told me the transmission was out and on the bench being evaluated I went and looked in the parking lot and there was my car still sitting there with the transmission still in it. If you have any choice do not take your car there.

This was my second experience with Capital Ford Service in Carson City and it was about the same as the first. When I arrived I honked my horn at the service entrance with no response, so I backed into a parking space and walked in to find 1 guy assisting another customer. There are six or seven booths but only 1 employee. A girl came from somewhere and asked what I was there for, told her oil change and she said okay, Adam will help you when he's available. Really? In essence saying, not my job and leaving the customer waiting while she sat in her booth. She eventually said where is your car, told her and she said go bring it to the entrance and I'll open the door. I went back to my car and brought it into the service area, then sat and waited until another guy came out to assist checking me in for an oil change. Unbelievable to me that customer service is the last item on the list for companies these days. If there were another Ford Dealership in this area I would never return to Capital Ford Service Department. The service on the car was fine both times I have been there but the customer service leaves much to be desired.

Communication is poor. Not professional. Service department was not accountable, blamed Ford for their error. Service advisor avoided our phone calls. Truck took 3 times longer than it should. Went to the sales department with feedback because a manager wasn t available and was told Nick would follow up with us. -Never called us. Worst Ford service experience ever.

Excellent segment of the Capitol Ford Service Department. So much more convenient to schedule facatory recalls at my home, the technician was very helpful, informative and personable. A pleasurable to deal with.
