We stayed one night. Room had quite modern furniture. Bathroom needed some TLC, but was usable. Bed was comfortable and felt clean. Various breakfast items were available starting at 7am from a fridge located near reception. We left at 6:30am, so we did not try any. We don't have pets, so for us it was nice to know that this place discourages pets.

Our room was perfect. Recently remodeled, spotless and fairly spacious. Beds were comfortable and WiFi was fast and reliable.Other aspects of our stay were hit and miss. Check-in was bad. I arrived to an empty lobby and had to wait 10 minutes for staff to return. Breakfast was pretty bad. Gas station pastries, sad apples and boxed cereal. The parking lot is cramped.Suggestion to management: if you are not staffing for full coverage you should have meal breaks regularly scheduled and posted for customers and included in your hotel listing. You have seen this kind of thing at the post office: 9am-5pm except 12:00-12:30 for example. Arriving in the cold and dark to an empty lobby is more discouraging than you might expect. You might want to just give up on breakfast and reduce the price differential between single-occupancy and double or higher.Rooms: Clean and recently remodeled.

A good clean place to stay. Giving three stars only because I booked it specifically to enjoy the hot tub with my daughter after the long ( 6 h) drive there - I called before booking and the day before arrival to make sure that was working. I even asked at the desk before checking in. But when we tried to get in, the heater was off ( broken ) and they couldn t fix it before I would leave.Rooms: Clean

Nice clean hotel! We slept great. Comfy beds.Suggestion to Management: Become a Host for Tesla Destination Charging. Tesla installs the chargers for you and they can charge any EV. It is a great amenity to offer and will guarantee more customers.

Not a bad place to stay if you are visiting Death Valley NP. This used to be the Burro Inn, and there are still a few wild burros that wander through the parking lot from time to time. The rooms are decent with fairly new amenities, although the floors squeak, which is the fate of any wooden flooring in the desert. The location is good and fairly quiet. The front desk is friendly. Maintenance seems a bit lacking - the shower rod in my bathroom was supposed to arch outward; instead it sagged downward. The smoke alarm was missing from the ceiling for some reason - there was just an empty mount. The door had a half inch gap at the threshold that could have let creepy crawlies into the room. Beatty is a bit cold for scorpions but you never know. They offer a free breakfast, which is mostly cold cereal, pre-packaged pastries, yogurt, juice, and other things you find at convenience stores. Still, it is a good way to start the day. One surprising thing I found here is that the water is really good. Most tap water in the desert is alkaline and bitter, but the tap water at the Death Valley Inn tastes like bottled water elsewhere.

After checking accommodations in Death Valley and finding the prices to be utterly outrageous, I expanded the search and discovered this little gem. Simple, clean, reasonably priced rooms, very nice staff and just minutes from Rhyolite and the "Hell's Gate" park entrance. This inn is absolutely the quietest motel we've ever experienced - so much so that, if you're used to a bit of noise while you sleep, you might want a white noise app or sound machine. Good dining options close by, and gas wasn't too pricey. We'd been told that there is a herd of wild burros that roams the town, but unfortunately we missed them. Beatty is a really cute and welcoming little town, and Death Valley Inn will be our first choice for a return visit.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our DVNP trip. The drive wasn t bad to DV. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was very nice. They have a fridge and microwave which we appreciated. The breakfast is basic cold items (cereal, danishes, muffins, boiled eggs, milk, juice, coffee/tea/cocoa).My only complaint was the noisy guests at 5am banging buckets around and coughing/spitting outside of my room each morning.I enjoyed the hot tub after the hours of driving each day!We got to meet the town Burros which were like adorable puppies I wanted to take them home! The Dollar store is across the street and has anything you need or forgot. We brought all of our own food/drinks into DV each day since there are only a few options and are expensive!I would 100% stay here again.

Mom approved! The rooms are very clean, and they came and cleaned our room everyday.Hot coffee ready at 6.Also Beatty is a fun town to stay in, there are tame donkeys roaming around that you can feed and a nice family dollar just in case you forgot something

Rooms were spacious and clean. Only thing to note was the free breakfast was very limited (you get to pick one of a boxed drink, one fruit and one boxed cereal) which is understandable for a remote location with limited supplies, so be prepared to bring your own food but the room did have a microwave and fridge which was useful.

Just what was needed on a long drive - hot tub, wifi, desk in room, super sweet Burros. I didn't use the pool, but it felt refreshing to touch and could have been perfect in the heat. The breakfast is grossly unhealthy - but that's not what I got a room for anyway. The room was clean and very nice, comfy bed, very nice check-in without fuss. I bit pricey for the middle of nowhere, but the room was nicer than expected. I would of liked a coffee pot and suspect that they would have brought one if i asked. The burros in the morning are so sweet. They come right up for treats and pets.

Not to bad for an overnight stay, but when they give you a ticket for free breakfast , don't get to excited is less than a continental breakfast, everything offered is found in the packages found on 2 shelves. The employees were ok but not overly friendly. The best part was when we left for a little bit to get something to eat. When we came back there wild donkeys were out front, and we were able to pet them and get pictures

BE WARNED!!! Hwy 190 is closed from westbound to eastbound. We were traveling from Yosemite and made reservations for this hotel. Paid using credit card. Was not told or warned that Highway was closed. They did send an email that Death Valley National Park was closed but no mention of road closure. We called when we found out about the road closure, but we re not given a refund because we made the reservation less than 48 hours prior.

Very close to east end of Death Valley. Good place to base when going there and avoiding exorbitant park service facilities. Nice rooms for the price, clean and well equipped. Seems to be popular with off roaders as there are a lot of well known trails nearby. Lots of loud diesel pickups and four wheelers roaring around. Nice pool area and grounds but "breakfast" is a joke, just sugary snacks. Still will be staying there because it is the best motel for many mile around.

A welcome oasis in the desert. Helpful staff, nice rooms, comfy beds, and a nice pool make this hotel 45 minutes from Vegas a great place to unwind out of the bright lights in the bustling city. There are several restaurants in the area as well as a small casino. The town of Beatty has free roaming wild donkeys that are fun to watch. The reasonable prices make this even more enticing and worthy of visiting again on our next visit.

I have a hard time understanding some of the negative reviews, I found the place to be very clean and comfortable. The rooms have also been newly remodeled. Really good experience, great stop over when you have a long drive to California or Reno. The beds were comfortable, the pillows could use some updating they're a bit hard. But in general we had a really great visit!

We spent 3 nights in the RV Park which provided full drive-through hookups at $35 a night. There is a lot of mining exploration in town so the park was quite full with transitory drillers/surveyors. The park boasts free HBO via cable but I couldn t get it to work. The WiFi is hit and miss on retaining connection but I think that is because it was heavily loaded up with the park being full. The sites are hard pan and level and in a nice location on the south end of town. I d stay there again.

Everything you want in a roadside motel it s clean, convenient, and inexpensive. It would be nice to have in room coffee makers, but there was free coffee in the lobby. This is the closest town to Death Valley and about 30 mins away from the park. There aren t many places to eat, but otherwise a good place to stay if you are visiting the park.

Very beautiful, clean, spacious and safe hotel room. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The price was very reasonable and comfortable. Being from the city of Sacramento, it was a bit scary at first to see wild donkeys on the prowl. But I noticed they were also friendly, allowing people to pet them.

We had to go to Reno from AZ for tournament. It was about 12 hours drive. Then we decided to stop by half way through- and we found this Inn. After reading the review- we decided to check it out and we stopped by 1night. I called in to come in about 9-10 pm. The Staff was really nice answering the call and no need to ask CC info like all other big hotels are. We arrived around 10pm on April 20th- and the CS gave us the key, and extra towels for our 2kids- and also when we went inside- we had nice and clean room. Fresh cleaned. Shampoo/Soap/Lotion was there. Towels also were clean. The area was also quiet and safe. There's also a very cute outside. We got breakfast for 4 (included). Bun/muffin/milk/coffee/tea/cereal/yogurt/cheese etc. So many to choose! Great place. We were glad to find this gem. Went back again on April 24th and still got a great service. Fast, friendly. Everything was perfect. Best 2* Hotel/Inn so far! Thank you!
