A wonderful experience waking up to deer and wild turkeys. Before going to bed soaking in the hot tub under the most beautiful dark sky. We had our young children with us and it was nice to be in such a safe and fun place. They have a game room, and soft grass areas for the kids to run and play. Will be going g back next year for sure!!!Rooms: Family friendly, clean , and deep tub was a bonus

Beautiful accomodations! Location is 5 star because of it's proximity to Great Basin National Park. Otherwise, you literally out in the middle of nowhere! Lovely drive down into the canyon (gravel road, so just go slow) at the bottom we were greeted by wonderful wild life! Turkey and deer roam free on the grounds. The room was fabulous, very comfortable beds and linen. Modern, updated rooms. The hot tub (towels provided )was absolutely fantastic and the stars in the night sky are unparalleled here! We did not have enough time to check out the pool or have room, unfortunately. At check-in there is a small store with some needed supplies for the evening and next morning. Easy to make dinner and breakfast items, and even some alcoholic selections. The nearest town is Baker, which had a modest general store and a restaurant across the street. I wish we had more time to spend here, very peaceful. Internet is via satellite and can be unpredictable. But that didn't bother us at all.

This place is AWESOME! From beginning to end we had a wonderful stay. Staying in the canyon was super beautiful. There is a staircase built into it that you can climb up and view the sunset. The owner was so friendly and helpful. We got a breakfast credit to use in the market and were surprised at how much it got us! The rooms were very clean and cozy. They turn off all of the lights at night to be able to view the dark sky and it was truly epic. The commute to Great Basin is about 20 minutes so it was super convenient for us to stay here. Can t recommend this place enough! I hope to come back some day.

Perfect place to relax. It is actually hidden. Make sure you check their email/ website to follow the directions to the hotel. I had my google gps on which was showing the same route as suggested but you can t rely on it, since you will loose connection at several spots. Wifi signals are weak at the property which I didn t mind since i was not planning to be on the phone.Very limited options of food nearby . So come prepared. At night they turn off the lights so you can enjoy stargazing from the property.

If you want to go some where remote and in the middle of no where to feel like your in your own planetarium this is the place for you! It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of dessert, the owner was very nice and very helpful, we just wish we could have stayed longerNoteworthy details: You can see every star in the sky at night with the naked eye

Literally like a slap in the face! We accidentally arrived 35min early after a 350 mile drive +7mile wasboard rd. The rude B*tch that answered the lobby door turned us away in 105 degree heat, no shade nearby, told us to come back @ 3pm with an attitude! When we finally sat down to check in she reads us the rules line by line in the same arrogant condescending manner, very unfriendly for a resort rep. I operated an RV resort 20yrs, this gal wouldn't have lasted a week on my team, has to be the owners daughter.Facilities as described very nice but over priced. Yes, wifi is slow and spotty, mosquitoes large and hungry.Cannot Recommend.Food & drinks: Bring your own food and drinks on-site mercantile very limited and spend, fully equipped kitchen in room. Free coffeeNoteworthy details: Bone jarring 7mile dusty access rd.

The place to stay in the Baker / Great Basin area. You really do drive into a hidden canyon and find a picturesque setting. The owners are friendly, helpful, and thoughtfully provide everything needed for an elevated stay. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The night sky is amazing. Quiet and tranquil with easy access to the park.

If you are going here for the first time, before you leave home, print the email message from this resort with the directions on how to find it. The internet in this remote area is very limited and spotty, so relying on finding that email on your phone or your computer when you try to check in is very risky. Besides that one caveat, we very much enjoyed our time here. it is very quiet and dark at night so you can get a good look at the sky at night. we got a clear view of the Milky Way

I can't believe I never reviewed this place. I thought I had. We visited in 2018 and we really enjoyed our stay. In 2018, there was absolutely zero cellular service at the hotel. I saw that as a plus because it allowed my son and I to "unplug" and enjoy our time without distractions. We enjoyed visiting with guests from other places around the country and the night sky is incredible. So many stars, and they are so bright they cast a shadow. This is THE place to stay if you are visiting the area.

This hidden gem is ah-mazing! We really enjoyed our quick one night stay. Before even spending the night, we already booked another trip for summer time. The drive down into the canyon was stunning and was more impressive than it's neighboring national park, Great Basin. The property is huge and beautiful. So much to explore and enjoy. They have a mini-market in the office which we used for our breakfast items. They have a cute dog and at least one cat roaming the grounds near the office. My kids loved them. The rooms are beyond amazing. So clean, cute decor, very welcoming. The beds were quite comfortable. We stayed in a queen suite and it felt like a VRBO. Two queens in one room and a king in the second bedroom. The kitchen area was fully stocked. Sink, hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, toaster, pans, pots, mugs, silverware, tinfoil, paper towels, etc...It was a cold day for us so we didn't spend too much time outside. We played a bit of frisbee golf and horseshoes. We are excited to use the hot tub and pool on our next visit. There is a BBQ grill (propane) available for guest use. There is a game room with board games, ping pong, foosball and other outside toys.

Upon arriving, the staff was so helpful with everything. We encountered a man in Great Basin who left us very unsettled after harassing one of us, but the staff connected us with law enforcement and made us feel safe and welcome. Before arriving here, we had stayed at the Venetian in Las Vegas, and this place was FAR better in value and quality. As others have written, it is a hidden gem. The rooms have a very homey feel, and had everything we could possible need (and more!). Everything we could think of was accommodated, including vegan food options. Also, the night sky was unlike anything we have ever seen. They turn all the outdoor lights off shortly after it gets dark so that guests can enjoy the stars. This is the first time I have written a review simply because the service, experience, amenities, and views exceeded all expectations, and allowed us to have the most memorable excursion. We will absolutely be back in the future and cannot recommend this place enough!

The room is VERY comfortable. Market has excellent variety and is fairly reasonable. Hostess (Christina) is welcoming and helpful. The view is wonderful, and the patio has several tables and chairs that face the view and the pretty lawn. We would LOVE to return some day.

We booked a night at the Canyon Retreat last weekend. It was our last stop from a UT vacation. It was the BEST sleep we had all week. The retreat was clean, beautiful, and tranquil. Staff were simply awesome and welcomed us as family. You can also ride ATVs provided on site. The property resembles the setting from the Yellowstone TV series. We shall return!

This was a beautiful place to come and stay overnight! The room was beautiful, clean and had great amenities! It was nice and quiet! The owners are super friendly, nice and helpful! They have a little grocery shopping where you can food and snacks for your stay! At night you could see so many stars and had lots of cool stuff about the history of where this little B & B is located! It's a long drive but worth it!!!

This is a wonderful place to nestled in a beautiful canyon on the South end of the Great Basin National Park. Where the people make your conference or retreat a wonderful experience while under the shade of a aged orchard with dear checking in on you. This is a great place to relax and just let the load slide off. Great rooms and great people.

After 2 and a half weeks on the road camping and staying in a few dives, Hidden Canyon was just the respite my wife and I needed. We rented a suite so we could have some privacy from the kids and it was so much nicer than I'd anticipated. The beds were comfy, the showers were hot with good water pressure and the setting was absolutely stunning. We saw deer and turkey all over around the area. Now that I've finally returned home I can say with certainty that our 2 nights at hidden canyon were a highlight of our months vacation. I cant wait to be in the area again so I can make a return visit.

A great place to stay while Great Basin National Park area! Friendly and helpful staff! Location includes a swimming pool and hot tub. Rooms in the main lodge included TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, oven, and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi though is speed limited because of satellite services. Really nice rooms! Easy to get to using emailed directions or Google Maps (just put in name). Road to main area is hard packed road but does not require 4-wheel drive. Will definitely stay again when I visit Great Basin National Park again!

A beautiful place to stay close to Great Basin National Park. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We loved the hot tub and seeing the stars at night. We stayed for two nights and ate breakfast at the Great Basin National Park Caf both mornings with the voucher they gave us. The food there was great. Take time to drive out to see the wild horses nearby if you stay here! Ask the owners how to get there. We highly recommend this place.

We just returned from visiting Great Basin National Park, and we were lucky enough to find this hidden gem. We stayed for two nights, and it was a great place to relax after driving across Nevada and wandering the park. The location is off a gravel road and down into a canyon; however, the trek is worth it!Family is extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is delicious and comes directly from the ranch. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the game room and wandering the property. It was such a pleasant location to relax, unwind and enjoy the views without being tied to electronic devices :-)

Hidden Canyon retreat was lovely. We enjoyed our time. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, the small kitchen was convenient. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful and included grapes grown from the garden. Wildlife all around, very secluded. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful place well worth the drive down the gravel road. A perfect location for enjoying Great Basin National Park and getting a little peace and quiet away from the noise and light of the the city. The stars were amazing in the dark sky and the room was clean large and very comfortable. Wish we had planned on staying longer.

Just enjoyed a two night stay at your beautiful hotel. Our room was huge, clean and peaceful. Breakfast and dinner were just perfect. The innkeepers family was so friendly , and the two daughters really made the whole experience just wonderful. What a spectacular drive into the inn....it's definitely in a hidden canyon, just amazing. You have the best place to stay when visiting Great Basin National Park.

We stayed for 2 nights & had a wonderful experience. The property is remote but top quality in every way. The owners do an excellent job of making sure guests have everything they need. Beds are extremely comfortable. Wi-Fi and phone service are sufficient to check email. The setting is so beautiful we did not miss streaming or TV. No breakfast buffet due to Covid-19 restrictions. We used vouchers to eat breakfast in the National Park one morning and enjoyed the to-go breakfast the next. Both were great! We look forward to returning some time.

What an amazing oasis!!! If you are looking to explore Great Basin National Park, this is the only place you should stay. The facilities offer everything you need to completely unwind in comfort. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable and the outdoor spa and fire ring are available after a day of hiking and exploring. My family enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and hospitality of the owners as well. We will certainly return for a much longer stay.
