I contacted John to get our 2012 Honda Pilot valves adjusted. Price was great and their website even had a $100 off for new customer. Made an appointment dropped off the car and is was completed the next day. The valves are much quieter now and the car is running great. Also they were very kind and sent a follow up letter in the mail about 2 weeks after they serviced our car. Would highly recommend Omaha Japanese Auto Repair to anyone with a Honda or another brand that they service.

I am so glad I discovered Omaha Japanese Auto repair for our Honda van. John provided prompt, accurate updates on the repair. The work performed was very professional at a fair price. Given the age of our van John even provided useful information on keeping it in great running order. I had a sudden engine light/failure on Friday evening and had my minivan towed to the shop. John was able to diagnose the problem (ignition coil), get me an estimate, and do the work fast. I really appreciate the text and email communication during the workday. John is one of the few honest mechanics out there. He works on both my 07 Acura MDX & 05 Honda CRV. He gives realistic time frames and honest price quotes. He doesn t force you to get unneeded work done and prioritizes your upcoming needs for you. He gives a comprehensive printout to you. The best I ve ever seen in the auto repair industry. I believe he s been working specifically on Honda s and Acura s since 1993 . I Will be a life time customer for sure. Also, he leaves nice surprises like these in your vehicle! I am so happy a friend recommended Omaha Japanese Auto Repair for my 2010 Honda Civic. It is quick and easy to get an appointment. They do regular maintenance and a full check up every time. Then they give me a list of which items I need to prioritize, which items can wait, and which items they can do that day. They also always give me an approximate cost for repairs or maintenance needed, so I can budget it in. John is very friendly and helpful. Went in for a general safety inspection after purchasing a used MDX. Received a complete list of things that needed immediate attention and items that are recommended for future visits. Repairs were finished quickly and at a fair price. I will be returning in the future.UPDATE Jan 2024. MDX was sputtering and check engine light came on. Took it in to John at repair shop and found it needed spark plugs changed, valves adjusted, and good flushing/cleaning oil change. Car is back to running great and it has 249000 miles on it. Thanks!!!

Working with John at Omaha Japanese Auto Repair was a great experience. With an older 2003 Honda CR-V, I expected lots of things to need attention. I was correct. However, John helped to prioritize the best order of repairs. Fixing important things now, and working with the remainder taken care of over time. I want to run my wife's car for another five years, and with the help of Omaha Japanese Auto Repair, I know that I'll have the best chance of that! An existing customer strongly recommended I take my Honda Civic here for any and all vehicle maintenance and repairs. I followed that advice and now I consider John and his team to be my exclusive mechanic.They provide tremendous and detailed service. Unlike many other auto repair shops, John explained to me certain non-emergency repairs could be taken care of in accordance with my budget, in order of importance.In sum, they are honest, fair, and will work hard not only to keep your car at the highest performing level, yet also to figure out a plan to get multiple repairs done in multiple appointments, if you cannot afford everything at once.If you own a Honda or an accura, then go here. No question about it. Just be sure to make an appointment in advance because they are so popular you potentially may have to wait a few days or a week to get in. That fact is proof of their quality.

I have heard about Omaha Japanese Auto Repair for a long time. The mechanic I have used for years retired and I did not hesitate to call John at OJAR. I am very happy with his work. He explained what was needed for my vehicle and why. He gave me time to review the recommendations before giving my OK to complete the work. The service was completed on time and at a fair price. Awesome serviceHave a 08 accord and knew that I needed to do a trans flush and a PS flush. John and his team discovered what I already knew and a couple of other things I wasn t aware of. I ended up doing the two things above and my car feels like a new car and the low hum I was hearing is gone! John also listed all the service reminders and wasn t pushy on recommendations. I was very happy with the service I got and it was very reasonably priced. I would recommend anyone who has a Honda/ Acura to go see john and his team they are fantastic and will get it done right!

We suspected the alternator was going out on our Honda Odyssey. After being told by our dealership that the earliest available appointment was July 8, even for a major issue, Omaha Japanese Auto Repair was recommended to us by a friend, and we are so glad to have found this gem! Even though he was booked, John had us bring the van right in, checked the alternator and battery and said I probably would have made it home but not too much further without major issues. He said if we could leave it with him, he'd do his best to do the repairs done. By 4:00 that afternoon, we were driving away with a new alternator and an oil change. John was so great to work with, and the price was right too. We'll never take the Honda anywhere else! John takes the time to explain everything going on with your car and provides a detailed invoice with a listing of immediate services needed and a list of future services you can begin to budget for. A good and trustful mechanic is hard to find and John and his team provide the quality you expect. John goes out of his way to provide excellent service. I usually always end up leaving knowing something new about my car. He gives recommendations for service without being pushy, and has the bunch other recommendations made by Express service providers. Now I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else! Funny enough, knowing he only specializes in certain car types makes me want to be more brand loyal to Honda and Toyota. I highly recommend the Japanese auto repair to anyone who is looking for a long-term mechanic.

Wow. From the moment I met John I started to learn a lot about my car. My AC was not working so on the phone he had told me to just stop by so he can take a look. He had some suggestions and I decided to make an appointment. The service was awesome but the report you get after the visit is even better. You can also see your car service history online and keep records there. Top of the line service. I would continue to buy Hondas just to take them here for service.
