The service at NWAC is absolutely outstanding. They make time for you, are very receptive to your concerns, will take the time to talk to you about your options, offer different diagnoses to a problem and solutions. The mechanics really care about the work they do. For example, when I said I did not have a ride home they prioritized my car's maintenance and fixed my problem super fast! Will be going to this shop the rest of my days. Highly appreciate their excellent service and care.

Our car has been acting up like crazy lately, and the last straw was getting stranded by a Bakers because of a bad starter!! Chris was amazing. He responded to us after 5:00 on a Thursday (above and beyond), AND helped us coordinate a very efficient tow to his shop! We had our car back in working order by Monday morning with a bill that didn't break the bank. Would highly recommend Northwest Auto Care if you and your car need kindness and efficiency!

A good looking auto repair shop. I went there for an oil change and the guys did it pretty fast. I was surprised but then I went to the car and noticed the check engine light was not reset. Another guy from inside noticed oil leaking from the engine. Store manager helped me reset the check engine after looking in internet.They were helpful cleaning up the leak and they said they used alcohol to clean and also wash it later.Love the piece of art in the store.

Took my big passenger van to Chris at Northwest, after having another mechanic 'fix' a problem. I had several issues, vacuum leak, fan control knob, sliding door adjustment, and check engine light on... They are busy, and so I scheduled a day to drop it off. Chris was upfront and honest about diagnosing another mechanics failure, and I trusted him. They knocked everything out in 2 or 3 days, after calling to let me know what was going on and where the bill was at. I really appreciated his help and whoever worked on my van. Everything seems fixed, done well, and working. The bill wasn't crazy, and that counts a lot these days. I think the parts cost almost as much as the labor, but that's expected in 2023. Other mechanics just want to throw parts at a problem and hope it gets fixed, he actually took time to test and diagnose, which seems to be rare these days. I'll be taking my other cars here, and working with Chris for a long time if he keeps this up!

Had a weird issue regarding some completely stripped bolts. After calling about 3 shops in the area that didn t want to do the work, this place did! 15 minutes and the smallest fee I ve ever paid a mechanic, my issue was solved. Great service!

Chris is a great mechanic! Extremely personable, timely and very honest. He will never tell you something is wrong with your car when it isn't and he knows what he's talking about!

This is an honest and trustworthy auto mechanic shop. The people that work here actually care about their neighbors. I feel like God led me to this place. May he lead you here too.I really don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found this place.

A wonderful, first rate experience! My check engine light was on. Took my vehicle to a competitor (national franchise) who quoted me an exorbitant rate for spark plug replacement and fuel system cleaning and tried to sell me things that they said needed to be replaced that I KNEW were fine. Checked the internet to get a good idea of what the service SHOULD cost. Called up Northwest Auto Care and explained the problem to Chris and gave him the diagnostic code the other guys provided. He took it upon himself to look into the possible problems that would trigger the code. He took his time to explain what could cause the error code and what the remedies could be. He got me in quickly and went to work. Did the plugs, wires and fuel system at a literal fraction of the cost the other guys quoted and confirmed that the other work was not needed at all. Probably the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a mechanic! I highly recommend Chris and his team at Northwest Auto Care.As a side note, I learned Chris took this place over in 2019. I see some reviews that are 3 or more years old. I think it would be a safe bet to assume the current team was not involved in those transactions.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

We're new to Omaha and chose them due to good reviews and location. My daughter called and asked if they could diagnose an issue with her wiper fluid not coming our and tell us how much it would cost BEFORE repairing anything. They agreed and we dropped off the car only to be called hours later and told they diagnosed AND fixed the issue and she owed $50 (pretty rude charging a young woman for a repair she didn't approve) Fine, annoying but fine. Then when she went to get the car, they had installed new wiper blades without her consent or even telling her they were considering doing so and she now owed $100! The blades were a bit old but she should've been ASKED if she wanted them replaced and not just assume she wanted them done and that she had an extra $100!!!Not cool, man... at al! We will not be returning

Chris is the most upfront and honest mechanic I've ever been to. 6/5 stars. He will tell you exactly what's wrong and exactly what he's going to do. He and his entire staff are extremely accommodating. Look no further for the best mechanic you'll ever find.

Chris was BUSY when I brought my car in, but he made time for it that day. He and his crew did an excellent job that made my car drive like new, dealt with me honestly, worked with me to spare expenses, and still gave a discount on parts.

I scheduled to have my oil changed here and the service was great. They got me in the very next morning. Mike was very helpful and polite. I asked for a quote on my front brake pads and got a decent price so I had them changed while they were doing my oil change. They had a team of guys working and had both my oil changed and break pads in 30 min. I would definitely recommend going here.

I cannot tell you how many times Chris has saved me money at Nortwest Auto by being ethical and honorable in his repair pricing. Just yesterday, he. MacGyvered a fix on a part for an old vehicle that would have cost hundreds of dollars more to order in the original equipment part. I highly recommend Northwest auto!

My husband s truck needed to go in so I made an appointment with Northwest Auto. The next day the truck wouldn t start so I called to let them know it would be late getting there. Chris drove to the location where the truck was to try and get it started. As a business owner myself, I truly appreciate him going out of his way to help me. We will use Northwest for our personal and business vehicles from here on out.Services: Brakes, Battery, Oil change

I brought a vehicle in before purchasing it so it can be looked over and I would know any problem on the vehicle. It was looked over 100% and I got told what was wrong from the biggest problem to the smallest scratch, I ended up getting a good price quote and he let me know what needed fixed first and what can wait. I would definitely recommend bringing your vehicle in whether u are thinking about purchasing, your vehicle might have a problem, or even if you just need regular maintenance done.

I LOVE Northwest Auto Repair. They always take care of us fairly and with concern for our safety. I always know that they are honest about their recommendations and the repairs are done well. Today they went above and beyond and helped my teenage daughter with a tire issue. We use them for everything for our cars, oil changes and beyond. I highly recommend them to everyone I know.

Brief summary: The owner is well-intentioned, but I wouldn't go here for anything beyond simple repairs and maintenance. All my interactions with him were civil, but his shop caused more problems with our car than they solved.Explanation: I took our 2005 Honda Accord in to Northwest after it had been diagnosed with a leaking head gasket, which is a major repair job. I spoke to several shops before choosing Northwest, and I appreciated the owner's honesty about the various steps and issues that may come up with the job. His quote was also significantly cheaper than one of the dealers in Omaha. We decided to take our car here, and was told it would be done in around a week. I called back in after about a week and was told it would be another week before it was done. After about two and half weeks, I called again and was told it was close but not done yet. I went into the shop to check on the car, and all of the various bolt and covers from the engine were in a pile on their workbench, without labels or any kind of organization. Once we finally got the car back after they "completed" the repair, we tried to drive to Topeka and the car started chugging and stalling when accelerating. Upon taking to a shop in Topeka to have it checked, they found that several pieces of hardware (bolts/covers/filters) were either installed incorrectly or missing entirely (not surprising, considering the state of the hardware in the shop mentioned earlier). It cost us several hundred dollars to have these fixed so we could drive back to Omaha safely. The owner denied responsibility for these problems and did not reimburse me. In the following months, we had several other problems in the same area of the engine that would have been taken apart by Northwest to fix the head gasket. Eventually the car wouldn't start at all, and we had it towed back to Northwest from our driveway after they agreed to look at it again. They found several problems, and was going to charge me another several hundred dollars for these repairs. Instead we worked out a deal for them to buy the car and fix themselves, as I did not want to deal with the headaches this car was causing.In conclusion, I do not have any personal problems with the owner, as he was honest with me while he had our car, and made a deal with me to purchase it. That being said, I do not think Northwest has the expertise to complete a complicated repair job like a head gasket, and I would have been better off paying more to have the dealer fix it.

Went in a couple months ago to have ball joints replaced and check engine light diagnosed. They noticed wires leading to my transmission were frayed and said best they could do was solder them (which they didn't do) then said no big deal about the engine light. WRONG!!!!! Those wires controlled the transmission fluid temp. Needless to say due to their incompetence I just replaced my transmission. When I told Northwest Auto Care. The mechanic admitted he didn't know what it was and he should have referred me to a transmission shop. All I got from the owner was a god bless you. DO NOT TRUST YOU VEHICLE WITH THEM! Now he is saying I "threatened" him with social media, and that he did me a favor, which are complete lies. I brought it in to diagnose the check engine light and fix it. They did me no "favors" and are now completely lying...

Called in the afternoon for an oil change appointment and was able to take my car in first thing the next morning. Staff was very friendly. Oil change and tire rotation completed in approximately 40 minutes. While sitting and waiting, a staff member gave another customer a ride home because his car was going to be there all day. Will definitely go back!

If you like mechanics who give your straight talk and no BS come to Northwest auto car. Chris the business owner is fantastic and he will always deliver with great work.

In my 12 years on the road, this was by far the best service I have ever received. Mike (Owner) greeted me very kindly over the initial phone call and agreed to help accommodate my situation in anyway possible. My car was taken care of above and beyond what I expected. And on top of that, the price I was given was literally $150 cheaper than what I was quoted by competitors. You can tell Mike really cares about his business and the satisfaction of his customers. Something that is just so rare this day and age. With all that being said, I certainly intend to bring all of my car business to him, and make sure everyone I know is aware of this special unique gem in Omaha.

When it comes to auto repairs, you won't find anyone with more integrity than Mike (& his crew) at Northwest Auto! I recently had a small issue with one of our service vehicles and they stuck with it until the problem was solved. Whether it is a sick vehicle, or just routine maintenance.... Great service at a fair price..what value! You don't need to look anywhere else!

My sister and I took her PT cruiser in for the first time to Northwest Autocare just two days ago. Mike was extremely helpful. He made us feel very comfortable and carefully explained everything to us because we really don't know too much about cars. We didnt feel taken advantage at all and he didnt try to sell us anything extra. The wait time was going to be a few hours and he was even nice enough to offer us a car in the meantime. I highly recommnend them and my mom will be bringing in her car sometime soon as well. We live in bellevue and it's about a half hour drive from us but it was absolutely worth it.

Brought my car in for an oil change. Very friendly staff and it was quick. You can tell the owner Michael cares a lot about his business and the customers. Definitely will come back in the future for any services.

They got me in for an oil change last minute and the owner was very kind and courteous. It s a very clean business and they have awesome collectibles on display along with fresh coffee! Defiantly recommend them! The owner is great!

Fastest oil change I've ever had!!! Super clean shop, and Chris even accommodated for my 2yr old. Very nice experience over all. Will definitely go back
