Honestly, you get what you pay for. For $50-60 a night, walk in with 0 expectations. Be forewarned, this is a franchised location, and DO NOT expect corporate Wyndham service. Or any service whatsoever honestly. Here are the takeaways:CONS:- Staff are non-existent and unhelpful. I waited for about 10 minutes to check in, ringing the bell multiple times and even calling out quite loudly to say that I was there to check in. Only after the staff member came out of the bathroom, the attitude and body language said loud and clear that I was a bother to be there and they were pissed that they even had to deal with me.- No regular services were available. No listed amenities outside of the room were available and it looks like they haven t been operational in years. If you need ANYTHING, you ll be going to the gas station or elsewhere. Also, to reiterate, don t rely on the staff to do anything, or even be there.- The Room. Dark, stale, and outdated. The toilet seat is permanently stained yellow from years of use and was so loose the two of us were afraid to sit down fearing it would slide off. The bathtub caulk and tiles are cracking, discolored from hard water stains and black from older bouts of mold and coming away from the wall, which is causing god knows how much damage to the wood and plaster behind. It also allows ants to come in. The wallpaper is coming loose, the door in our room didn t seal all the way allowing a constant draft in, the air conditioner/heating unit worked but the buttons and cover were broken and cracked, you get the idea PROS:- The Bed. While I can t attest for how clean it actually was, the mattress was very comfy and I slept very well!- Location (kinda). Yes, it s right near the highway, but so are all of the other accommodations in the area.- The Price. You won t find cheaper, but at what cost?Honestly, there are only 2 scenarios for why this Travelodge is so poorly ran and in such a state of disrepair: a) the franchisee doesn t have the money for upkeep, which is disappointing, but should also signal that they should consider selling. Or b) they genuinely don t care, which is even worse and they should equally consider selling for that reason.

I'd give zero if I could. Worst service ever. These people at the front desk are genuinely bad people, rude, lazy, etc. I could go on. Just complete scum bags. It caught me off guard their lack of dignity and sense of upholding a brand name as I thought it would be a decent stay. Couldn't wait to leave. Horrible. Stay away until they get new management.

Where to start. Arrive at 6:50pm to check in. Noone at front desk but there are two bells. I ring them, several times over the next 10 minutes. I call my wife, who verified our reservation address. I call the number posted for the motel, the desk phone rings to no avail. I call the reservation number, and they try to call. Same desk phone rings with no answer. She patches me to Wyndham Customer Care and they started a claim. While on hold with them, the front desk guy peeks in the back door, wide eyed, and goes back outside to come in a door behind the office. He comes to the front desk and acts like he has been there and told me I should have rung the bell. Anyway, almost 45 minutes after arrival, I get my room. The room is clean enough, and everything seems fine. My son turns on the tv, and there is only the guide channel and nothing else. I call the front desk, and again, no one answers. I drive to the front, remote in hand, and ring the bells, slam the back door, etc, and he appears like a genie out of a bottle. He then tells me that there is only Firestick tv. I ask him if that is something that he hands out or how I go about getting it from him. He says it is only for the single bed rooms, not doubles, and that we will not have tv in our room. So, I called Wyndham again, and they made me a reservation for Days Inn, right around the corner, where I was greeted by a friendly crowd of elderly skiers and a front desk person that was very helpful.I checked out within 1 hour from the Travelodge, and hopefully my refund shows up...Its not the worst place I've stayed, but dang its close.

No real complaints. It is a very basic hotel, but for the price you can t beat it, and it is right off the interstate! You could hear a little noise from the floor above but not terrible. Also the staff couldn t be reached at check out time and everyone was just piling their room keys on the front desk. With all that being said, the bed was fantastic. It wasn t one of those soft beds where you wake up with back problems, it was actually firm enough to sleep on and not sink into its depths. My room was clean, and the hot water worked. It had all the necessary amenities as well to include decaf coffee and a little one cup coffee maker. It also had soap and shampoo which was awesome. The worker that checked me in was helpful and friendly as well. My car was safe and nothing bad happened. It was also close to a nature trail.Again, great place, especially for the price. It is close to Casey s and Walmart as well. For the price it is great!

We stayed here overnight on our way through to Colorado. This motel is awful! They charged our card even though we used points with Wyndham and we can not get a hold of anyone. The rooms were dirty, old urine and hair on the toilet, smoke alarm cords hanging out, hair in the tub drain, not enough towels for everyone and the outside of the rooms were dirty. No breakfast was available (not sure we d have eaten it with knowing how dirty the rooms were). Would like someone to respond to this review so that we can get our money back. Wyndham, I m shocked that your company would want your name attached to this place.

We booked through Expedia. The hotel page on Expedia said pet fee $10 but we were charged $25. Also on the page, it says 'Breakfast included' but when I asked if they serve breakfast, the receptionist's answer was "No." The room was over all clean except I found food crumbs and a gallon jag under the bed. And a couple of hair in the bathtub.

The staff are incredible. So very nice. With that being said, stay away from this place. To open the door, you have to throw your shoulder into the door. The carpet needs to be replaced. We had to get the custodian to get our TV to work. The chair in the room didn't have any legs, so it was like sitting on the floor. All in all, the room was awful. The room looked nothing like the room on the website.

The staff were very nice, and the location was perfect and seemed to be a nice, safe area. The room, however, could have used a little more attention. The carpet and chairs were badly stained, and we were not comfortable walking barefoot in our room. The bathroom had duct tape covering a hole in the ceiling. The pool was closed, and it doesn't look like they do free breakfast anymore. It worked ok for a quick stop, but I don't think we would've stayed there longer unless we had a nicer room.

Room was not clean. Food was in the fridge from the last people and used coffee grounds in the pot. 2 towels, one of them was a stained holey rag. Although they listed breakfast, there was none, they claimed they did not meet the inspection yet, needing a workingwash sink. And there was no coffee in the lobby, they claimed the pot broke. The ice machine was broken down as well. Staff were nice.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. It is extremely run down and the rooms smell like someone was cooking food in it. The floors are Formica tiles that are coming up. You can hear people through the wall. It is worth staying at literally any other hotel in Ogallala, NE. Negative stars!Safety: Rooms have outside doors.

Disgusting!! They apparently don t clean the rooms. I get it that this is a cheap motel and when traveling with a pet, choices can be limited, but this place is no deal. Filthy. How long does it take for the coffee to mold in the coffee pot? About a week maybe?Noteworthy details: Beautiful walking path nearby. Great dog area. The location was why we picked it, but we won t do that again!

Horrible hotel! Waited at the front desk for 15 minutes. Then was given keys to a room that someone was already sleeping in! Our room smelled like urine, the TV did not work right, there was a drip in the bathroom, one bed was extremely squeaky, the bedspread felt like a shower curtain, small pillows felt like shredded foam, and at 7 a.m. the lobby was locked so we could not turn in our room keys. All of this with the added bonus of trains blowing their whistle passing throughout the night!!If I were you, I would keep driving!Rooms: The room sucked!

For a cheap stay, it does the trick. Would not recommend for longer than a one night stay when in a pinch.Room and facilities are old and run down. Bed had stains. Floors were not totally clean. A/C takes a bit to work. Shower is decent. Not the best. Not the worst.Personal decision: we will not be staying here again, but for the time we had to, it worked.Rooms: Think motel 8.Safety: Fairly safe area. Would NOT recommend a woman stay here alone.

Actually got the best sleep I've gotten in years! Pet friendly and very affordable! Spent 4nights her. Not the cleanest place drawers and cabinets were broken, water shower would slowly go down the drain, but I did sleep very well! Best sleep I've had in a long time! Service was just okay. Not friendly, but also not rude! At least from my experience! I did hear many negative words from locals, but it was by far the best price for last minute stay when I came in to brule to visit family! I would recommend this place to anyone with a last minute trip!

Look, this is an $80 motel room for which you'll pay around $80 plus tax, so it's not the Ritz. The property is older, the amenities are non-existent (pool was closed, breakfast canceled, 24-hour lobby was not, in-room shampoo is a foil packet and soap is a tiny chalky sliver). There are chips in the paint, rust in the tub, and the sink doesn't drain properly. The beds were made inexpertly and sloppily.THAT SAID: We needed a cheap, clean, dry room to come in out of the pouring rain midnight. This motel did not disappoint!!The beds were older but not broken, quite firm and comfy. The room was overly perfumed but didn't stink of smoke at all. The room had fridge and microwave and coffee. For $80, that's about what you can expect, and if that's all you're expecting you will be quite happy here for a night.I can understand the poor reviews if people booked online with a bunch of promised amenities that weren't there, but realistically, I've paid a LOT more for a LOT less.Need a place to grab some winks? It's clean, comfortable, and unassuming. You'll be fine here. Looking for a place to take the fam on vacation? Keep looking. This is a truck stop motel.Ps: love love love the adorable dogs at the front desk!!! <3

Pool is closed. No free breakfast. We picked this hotel because it said they had these amenities. Honestly I would only give it one star, but the ladies at the desk were very nice. Flushed the toilet and gross black water came up through the tub drain and the toilet overflowed. They moved us to a new room. No coffee maker. Dead moths underneath the light. Burned out bulbs in bathroom and main room. They were nice but acted like this happened all the time and there was nothing they could do. Stay somewhere else.

Sewage backed up into the tub overnight. Called to say we were checking in late and were rudely met with a office closes at midnight . We arrived well before then . Pool is closed and zero ABSOLUTELY ZERO in the way of continental breakfast. There is a gas station close by. Would not recommend staying even for the value advertised, because none of those values are actual.

Not a bad place for $50 bucks. It's actually one of the better cleaner hotels we have stayed, and we travel 5-6 times a year. The rooms are clean and cozy. The atmosphere is quite and relaxing even being off the interstate. There tons of restaurants and a few gas stations within walking distance. The parking is great. The staff is wonderful. very friendly and family oriented. We are definitely staying here again on our way back through.

Rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Hair on the bathroom floor from people before us. Put a do not disturb sign on the door because we didn't want anyone in the room while we were gone and came back to find housekeeping had been in the room, yet had not finished cleaning the room, had to go get towels due to none being left, garbage didn't get taken out. Coffee pot didn't have all working parts and no coffee cups.Noteworthy details: Small things matter.

The door to my room did not open properly. The latch plate was not properly secure to the door and was binding with the strike plate on the door frame. I called the front desk and a man came to the room and forced the door open by hitting it with his shoulder. The happened twice on the evening I checked in. In the morning, I could not open the door from inside the room and again call for assistance. A man again used the force of his body to open the door. Renting a room with a door that cannot be opened from inside the room is a life threating danger to the guest. In the event of a fire I would have had to attempt to break out the window to save my life.Rooms: The door to my room did not open properly. Worst place I've stayed west of the Mississippi. Forever to check, gave us an occupied room. The only response when complaining about the 40-minute wait to check in was that they've had a two hour wait before. Most incompetent staff I've ever dealt with. Rooms itself is a gem with power strips for everything and painted boards for some walls. The architect went all out
