We were headed on a (necessary) road trip and found out the day of the trip that we desperately needed new rear brakes/rotors. All shops in our hometown were booked, including where we bought the car. Since we had just purchased the car, the dealership agreed to pay for our brakes if we had them done elsewhere- they understood the urgency. North Platte, NE was one of the only cities along our desolate route. I called EVERY SINGLE car repair shop, service shop, dealership in town to see if they could help us as we were passing through. Some said they were closed on Saturdays, some only serviced trucks, some were booked, and A LOT didn't even return my phone call. Sam from Flatrock Garage did, however, and I'm so glad he called us right back. He is the most honest, kind, and knowledgeable car repair guy I have ever met. He cleared his Saturday plans to accommodate us, and had the brakes replaced within an hour. He gave us rides back to our hotel. He was charging so little but we insisted on paying him more & also gave him a well- deserved tip. He went above & beyond in so many ways. He is still our go-to guy if we ever have car questions, we call/text him and he gets right back to us. Take your business here; you will be SO happy you did. Sam deserves everyone's business in town, and if we lived in Nebraska, we would go to him again without a second thought! Saved me lots of money, he doesn't overcharge on labor or parts. We had a quote for 2600.00 from another shop, he saved us about 1000.00 dollars. And he did it really fast because we were traveling through. Amazing mechanic.
