Driving through Nebraska my car started having some transmission issues. Not being from the area I was the worst case scenario, but James was extremely honest and helpful, when he could have easily taken advantage of the situation I was in. I was able to get a rental to continue my trip and left my car with James until I passed back through on my return trip. Not only did he help me, he did so at no cost. I was truly blown away by the level of service I received as an out-of-towner. If I lived in the area he would have gain a lifelong customer. Thank you so much again James!Service: Transmission

brought in my car which was making some nasty noises from my transmission. found out i needed it pulled out and rebuilt.. i can t thank these people enough for getting my car back to me so fast. when i brought it in to drop off, i was told to expect a call in a few weeks. 6 days later i got a call and it was all done! i d recommend this place to anyone and everyone with any transmission problems.Service: Transmission

The owner of this company is probably one of the most honest business owners I have ever worked with. We stayed overnight in North Platte NE on our cross country journey from NYC to CA and when we started our drive the next day all the lights in our car lit up. The local oil shops recommended this place and they deserve all the praise they get.They were able to run a diagnostic for us to identify the problem and rather than gouge us for money got our car to a place so that we can drive to the dealership 4 hours away. They went above and beyond to ensure we would make it safely to our destination.We got a lot of education about our car and how to approach servicing it that was incredibly useful. The kindness that was shown to us was very touching and we are so grateful for their help.This is the shop to go to for honest, fair, and exceptional work!

My Subaru threw up a bunch of transmission codes halfway on our trip from Virginia to Utah. We managed to get it to BG & S and James gave us the best and worse case scenario and the cost. We left it with him and continued our trip, and he gave us a call later saying it was the best case scenario, and they could have it ready for when we come back through town.Service was unbelievable. They knew we weren t from there but still made us feel like we were from there. They never once tried to take advantage of our situation, and the price was less than what a Subaru dealer would have charged. We got the car home with no issues.Overall, they helped put us at ease while on our trip, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Highly recommended! Not that I would wish for anyone's transmission to break down, but you're in luck if it breaks down in North Platte, Nebraska. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon when our car died on the highway. We were towed to this place on a Friday afternoon in very low spirits. James managed to replace the transmission within 24 hours (even though it meant his team had to work on Saturday) and by Saturday noon we were off. They did a great job and we managed to complete our trip on schedule. They also gave us a 1-year warranty. James is good at what he does!

I am currently on my way back to Alabama from Washington state and the transmission went out in my RV. James, Justin and Regeana have been so helpful getting us back on the road. I can't remember the last time I have come across a company that was more honest, hard working, fair and just plain good. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone. Thanks to the entire crew. They are all professionals.

James is the Man! My daughter is on a trip from Michigan to Utah and her Transmission light came on. I called the local Jeep dealer and they recommended B G & S. WOW, what a great recommendation. They looked her car over and had her back on the road in no time. I will recommend them to any one driving through the area and having transmission issues.Service: Transmission

Called to see if we could get our transmission fixed since we had gotten recommendations from a couple of people. James told us he couldn't get us in for at least a week. He was very rude and condescending.

We were traveling through Nebraska on our way home to Atlanta and stopped in because we were having transmission problems. James stopped what he was doing and checked out our vehicle running full diagnostics. He cleared the computer trouble codes and explained that we did not need any immediate repairs, but to take it easy on the way home. He would NOT accept payment and only wanted a handshake for his time.You cannot find a more honest or knowledgeable transmission mechanic.

Son-in-law blew the clutch out on our truck. We were about 100 miles behind them. By the time we caught up to them the guys had pulled the transmission and clutch. They almost had it back together when we got to the shop. Picked it up this morning and all seems good. Shifts great.Thank you to a great shop.Service: Transmission

My beloved 19 year old f-350 had transmission trouble while on the way to Indiana towing a 30 foot travel trailer. We were 700 miles from home. The folks at BG&S let us have the truck towed to them even though they were very busy, and behind schedule. Long story short they were willing to work us in & replace our transmission getting us back in our vehicle in a day & 1/2. I'm a mechanic myself, with my own shop and it was very difficult for me to trust my truck to anyone else. These guys did an amazing job, and DID NOT try to rip me off. I would recomend BG&S to anyone, unless you are in Salt Lake City. Then you need to come see me.

We were on our way to Yellowstone with our camper when our transmission went out after my husband attempted to rebuild it on his own. James was very honest and upfront with what went wrong and he truly went above and beyond with helping us so we would have a working truck when we came back home. We would definitely recommend B G & S to anyone.

We had transmission problems unexpectedly! We told them what was going on and that we were on our way to Oregon. He said to bring it and he d see it first thing in the morning!He checked out our car and helped us out! Seriously saved us! Told us what was wrong with pictures and how to fix it!Thanks so much!!!

I took a pickup there that had a shifting problem. They took the truck for a ride, took me along, and explained all the possible causes and how they would address those potential causes. Honest people, great work, and quick turnaround time. I had a very positive experience.

They did a great job on the transmission. However, we got the car back and it was dirty inside and the out side looks like it has been sitting under a leaky roof, water and mud spots all over the outside. No complaints about the work done, just the condition of the car when we got it back.

Recently on a trip from Michigan to Colorado my transmission decided to puke fluid. I found BG&S on Google and drove over. Not only were they straight forward, very friendly and knowledgeable they got me back on the road same day and filled my trans fluid up for free which allowed me to get my truck all the way home instead of being towed 1200 miles. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing service.

I had my transmission serviced here. They were extremely busy and still managed to get my truck finished in a timely manner. Very nice people as well. I'll be returning here in the future for sure.

Wonderful people and service! They did not know me from Adam and even though I was from out of town and would most likely not be back were genuinely honest and did what was in my best interest. I was blessed that my transmission went out in North Platte. Thank you BG&S!

I was on my way from Fort Collins, Colorado to Indiana on I-80 when I had a problem with my transmission. By luck and faith I was directed to B G & S, where I spoke with James. He went out of his way to check out my car, gave me advice and was a true gentlemen. I drove back to Fort Collins and my car is now at the shop under warranty. Thank you, James for your excellent advice.

Very informative and helpful service. We were on the road and after frustrating car problems James showed he cared and took time to help us come up with a plan for our vehicle. He also did some minor repairs another shop neglected to do.

Half of my transmission fluid spilled out on the middle of the highway. I got towed and James fixed the leak and got me back on the road within 2 hours!
