I was greeted in a timely manner. The associate that assisted me was very polite & helped me get my car into the bay without scraping due to it being very low, the mud flaps were on the ground was my car was in place. The oil change was nicely paced. Also the conversations with employees will definitely make me want to come back.

this location by 35th and old Cheney made my day, all the employees were very nice and honest! I took a used car from a dealership that I just bought and I didn't believe the dealership when they told me that an oil change was done so I took it to Valvoline so they can do it and the employee told me it's not necessary after checking the oil ( I didn't tell the employee that it was supposed to be done already by the dealership )

They forced me to buy the expensive oil for my oil change and said that no other oil would be an option. I did not want to wait to get an oil change elsewhere, as I was driving out of state that day and needed it done. I have been to this location previously, and was allowed to pick my own oil and have gotten different oil at other businesses in the past. The only difference this visit, is that I was alone. They see a young women, and do everything to take advantage.Service: Oil change

Currently waiting for an oil change after going to another location that didn't have my oil filter. I waited for almost 30 minutes without any staff acknowledgement before being directed into a bay again without any communication from the staff. I then had to wait for them to check in the vehicle that arrived after me. I have been going to and recommending vavoline since they opened but since opening up more locations they have really went down on customer service. They really do need to make sure to have oil and filters at all times. Customer acknowledgement is crucial for repeat business. Total time for an oil change over 1.5 hours and 15% off for the inconvenience from the staff. I will definitely be trying other businesses!Service: Oil change

Vavoline screws over veterans. They don't change their oil filters. They aren't actually changing your oil either. I got my oil "changed" and then had an oil leak. 3 days later I took my car to a dealership to check it out and the dealership said the oil filter in my car had the dealership branding on it, not Vavoline's. Which means they haven't changed my filter the past 2 times I've been there. And oh by the way when I asked for a refund they said they can't process it immediately and will have to call corporate first. We all know how that goes. Up next: filing a Better Business Bureau complaint. The only thing they know how to do instantly is screw you over.

UPDATE on 10/11/2022: Still no call from Valvoline...This Valvoline has been the only location I've used to lube cars for years. Recently, I was told that there was a small oil leak, but they had used something to fix it and to not be worried. After losing nearly all my oil a couple days later, I took it back in, and they tightened it and it seemed to be better. My next oil change, exact same thing. Within a couple of days, it had drained nearly all of my oil. I took it to a mechanic who informed me that somebody had stripped out the oil plug threads and put on a "one-time use" stop-gap plug, to be used until I could replace the oil pan. Valvoline did NOT tell me that - only to check it in a week or two, because it was a "small" leak. It was NOT a small leak, and Valvoline never told me that I needed a new oil pan. Why? Because as the only place I took my pickup to, it pretty much had to be their 'mechanic' who stripped it out, then nearly cost me my engine for stating it was just a little, slow leak. Now, I've been trying for over a month to get some action on this by filing a claim. They will simply not call me back. The manager is either away from the store, or the area manager isn't available, but "will call me back." This began w/ my initial claim on Sept. 27, 2022. After multiple calls in, I'm currently on hold while the agent is "trying to reach" the area manager. Once again, I just received the story that the area manager is not available. They will call me back. They will not allow me to escalate to their supervisor. If they can show me that it was not their fault, I'd be reasonable. But the fact that they keep playing this game and not calling me back is simply unacceptable. It's no way to treat a customer.Service: Oil change

Herman was great! He was left to work with insufficient resources. The door to one bay was broken, and evidently had been for a while, and so there was a line of cars. They did not have the air filter I needed. They were going to charge me regular price but I asked for a discount when I couldn't find the coupon. It seems like they should have offered it because they couldn't give me the full service.

I have been going to the Old Cheney Valvoline for many years. This location is over by Hy-Vee. They do exceptional work and make sure all your car is taken care of. Lights are checked and all my fluids are topped off. The oil is good quality and my vehicle runs Great!

So far my experience has not been favorable, I am hoping to be able to update this with future stars for doing the right thing. Starts with parking my Lincoln Navigator in the parking lot when I got a flat tire nearby this store early one morning before it opened. So I didn t call till the following day, when I was informed it had been towed to impound. This store has NO sign saying anywhere that you will be towed or private property however, does have a sign says tire inflation . Vehicle was parked in Valvoline s parking lot. Which I m being told is private property and that you can be towed at any time parking on private property. 1st? Why would a company tow away business sitting out front clearly with a flat tire and needing serviced? Not to mention the damage done to the vehicle during tow. Which is a whole separate issue in itself. Will update..

Went in for a standard oil change brought my own oil and filter in cause last time they didn t have any in stock for a 97 civic (pandemic) The younger feller that was working topside added around 4.5 quarts of oil in a car that calls for 3.5. Said he thought it was a four quart jug when it was a 5. Showed me the dip stick and tried to send me on my way. Explained to him that the oil was about 2 inches over the oil full marker and I d like them to drain it a bit. After some protest they proceeded to drain it fully and redo with their own oil which came back over filled again. (Prob oil still in the filter). Couldn t get a straight answer out of them why it was over filled for the second time. Out of frustration I left. Had to ask for my less than 1 quart of oil back from the oil I brought in with me. They just kinda walked away with it like he don t need this Place used to be fantastic but feel the workers are to worried about nic picking each other and trying to one up one another than actually pay attention to the work they are doing. Double check their work and make sure they don t over fill your fluids. Added a pic of the extra oil I got out of it to make it right.Service: Oil change

Waited 25 minutes, ended up leaving. No one in front of me. I don't mind waiting if a place is busy but these guys seemed to be in LA LA land. At the rate they were moving it would have taken over an hour a for a "professional" oil change with no waiting line. It might help to have an adult on the premises, or possibly just the service to expect on a weekend.

This was my first time having my oil changed here. Excellent, fast service. We were able to get in right away. Kyle, Brent and Brenton were the ones that worked on our car. Kyle walked me through the process of what they were doing, and the group did a really great job of checking everything, including all headlights and blinkers to make sure they were all working properly, checking tire pressures, and the battery. We were able to sit in the car the entire time and see what they were doing. They did try to upsell additional services, but did not pressure when I declined, which I appreciate. I was also offered a $10 off coupon by a rep over the phone before we went in. Excellent service there overall. We will definitely be coming back.

I've gone here for oil changes and everything has been fine. However; the last time I went, they also replaced my air filter, with some struggle. The next day my check engine light came on so I took it to O'reillys to check the code. All of the codes came back air filter related. Took my car back for Valvoline to see if something got messed up.They said everything was good, reset my engine light, and sent me on my way. The next morning the light came back on.I took it somewhere else to get it looked at and the air filter was put in backwards, fell right out, and a DIME was found in it.Good for oil changes, but I will not do anything else with my car there that may require more in depth service.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

I say Value of this place is great. Their work is fantastic and trustworthy. I bring all my vehicles here as well as my family, I even have a family member with a fleet account here. I understand the need to make money and owners and operators needing to continue to make money and keep your business afloat; don t we all. But Care about your employees people. These same people are trying to survive and stay afloat as well. I ve brought 3 cars here in the last week and have seen the same people working each time. Have you even asked them how their feeling? How is their health? How are they doing mentally? I have lost a lot of respect for these people to run these outstanding young men ragged. My prayers and blessings are extended to the men working in there day in and out.

I always dread the hassle of getting my oil changed. Michael at this location was great-professional and friendly. I was in and out in 10 minutes or less! I also appreciated how he didn t try to talk me into multiple other things that my car needed . Easiest and best oil change experience of my life! Will definitely come back to this place again and again.

Had a great experience! We called to see if we could get in for an oil change at 5:30, left the house at 5:32 and were done with the change and halfway home by 5:52. The guys were very nice, pleasant and professional and clearly knew their jobs well. We will be going back.-------------------This is my second review of this Valvoline location. Again, these guys are FANTASTIC! My car broke down this morning and barely limped to Valvoline. The car wouldn't start to get it into the garage. They pushed it in, had a look and gave me good advice. I ended up having it towed to a mechanic and while I waited we had good conversation and they kept my coffee cup full. They are so friendly, good at what they do and do it with a smile and hospitality that goes above and beyond. As said in my first review, I will be going back. Additionally, I will only be going there from now on. They definitely made a difficult situation much more tolerable. BIG THANKS, GUYS!

This place is the best for a quick oil change. No hard sell. You tell them that you want an oil change and that's what they do. Last time I went to their competition (rhymes with stiffy tube), I got charged for things I didn't ask for and possibly didn't even get. My fault, the receipt was folded in thirds when it was handed to me and I tossed it in the glove box. I didn't look at it until accounting asked for a copy (that's how bad it was). Long and the short of it, I trust these guys.

Good techs that do good work, grossly overpriced. $114 for a 6 quart oil change.Update: $13 for a quart of oil is excessive. My fluids weren't topped off and no one even cleaned the oil from changing the filter so my garage floor has oil on it. Perhaps it's because everyone there was too busy hanging out with some girl and her dog. Check your cameras.

Awesome place. Herman and the guys always take care of me. 2 no visit. Never change my business. I checked lights they check your brake fluid all your other fluids they do your air pressure on your tires and they adjusted for summer time or winter always have a great experience here I'd rather pay a little bit extra for Quality then go somewhere else cheaper for bad service

I'd been going to the dealership for three years after purchasing our car new and had taken my older truck here several times. I liked the service and the communication of the team to each other and to me. Started taking the car here too and there's no looking back. Get coupons online and pay about half of what the dealership charges!

This is my new favorite place to get my oil changed. I often change my own oil, and these guys make sure that you're up to speed every step of the way, whether you're a car person who just doesn't have time to change the oil yourself, or someone whose car knowledge ends at the steering wheel, you'll feel confident that they are indeed doing the due diligence and conducing your maintenance in a trustworthy way. The prices are very reasonable, the shop runs with fantastic speed and efficiency, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. I am very impressed with this Valvoline location.

Typically this place is great. However, today I showed up and they were unable to perform oil changes because they were out of oil filters. I was told all other locations in town were also out. I understand that sometimes there are shortages, but I am not sure why they were even open then if they couldn't perform their business's primary purpose. I now know to call first.
