Hello, I'm Von. This experience was insane, but I'm going to use bullet points instead. Wife and I were moving. IL to our CL Serpentine belt snapped due to multiple causes. I smoked almost the entire belt and pulley system. This happened right down the street from these WONDERFUL people. After diagnosis and them ACTUALLY ATTEMPTING OTHER AVENUES to help us.Even pointed us to a great hotel while we waited for our car to be fixed. Fixed things we didn't even know were wrong. CAR RAN BETTER THAN WHEN WE STARTED OUR JOURNEY.2,076 MILES� FROM WHEN WE LEFT THAT SHOP AND GOING.THANK YOU COLLINS AUTOMOTIVE STAFF. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU GUYS DID FOR US, YOUR HOSPITALITY, YOURE NON BIAS, YOUR PROFESSIONALISM, AND JUST BEING FANTASTIC AT YOUR JOBS.

Collins Automotive is amazing!!!! Andrew was so wonderful at Collins automotive!! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Our family had some car trouble while passing through Nebraska and Collins Automotive was able to see us immediately. Andrew was super knowledgeable, friendly and honest!!! I would always use Collins Automotive if we lived in the area. I highly recommend going there if you live in the surrounding area, or stopping in if you are on I-80 and need any maintenance. Thank you so much for your help and support!!!

Great service...even if they weren't ones to fix my car. The car broke down on the interstate right before the Cozad exit, and I was able to putter off the shoulder and down the street just off the exit into their lot. After looking at the car, Steve and the crew determined they weren't able to fix it for me. I appreciated their candor and the quick follow-up even though it had to be towed to the dealership in Grand Island for specialized repair. I had to do this all over the phone from Omaha so it was helpful to have someone friendly and trustworthy to work with. Thanks Steve and the rest of the crew.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They were my saviors when I was in a pinch. Got a flat tire and ended up in the parking lot across the way from Collins Automotive. I saw them around the shop, even though they weren t open, and asked if they would be willing to help me change my tire. I had been waiting for TripleA for 4 hours at this point, without hesitation they grabbed their gear and came to my rescue! I am very thankful for all their help!

My Nephew broke down with his Mercedes Sprinter right at the Casey s down the street, Steve and his team walked him through the whole process and got his van road worthy in less than a couple days. The front part of our heat shield broke off during our road trip and Collins Automotive Repair came to the rescue! They were very friendly and gave very speedy service! I can t express how grateful we are for this place! We were foolish enough not to check our engine oil level before this long trip, and when our car told us we need oil change, nowhere near us is able to schedule anything earlier than a few days later. And then we found Collins, able to change our oil at the same day and in a very timely manner. They also checked a bunch of other things for us with no charge. Besides how kind and friendly these people are, not to mention their wonderful dog, they definitely get their job done fast and well. I want everyone to know that these people are very trustworthy and if you need help on the road, you have came to the right place. Safe travels everyone, and God bless!

I stopped at Collins on my way back from PA to CO after smelling gas in the cab of my '93 Chevy Conversion Van. These guys took me right in, were incredibly helpful and immediately solved the problem, which wound up being a blocked vent. They didn't overcharge me or take advantage of the fact that I stopped and requested immediate service when in a time of need. Also, the owner's wife owns the cutest little candle shop right next door you can look around, and even buy something in while you wait. Highly recommend!

Steve and his employees are very helpful and always kind. As a single mom I know my vehicle is going to be taken care of. Collins has greet prices and they don't try to take advantage of me I couldn't ask for a better place to take my vehicle

At first I thought this was a decent place. They guys working were very nice. However, when we did our own testing and realized we were low on oil we told them we would just go across the street and buy oil. They said it would be cheaper from them so we stayed. They proceeded to poke around for all of five minutes and charged us three times the cost of an oil change to simply add oil without fixing a thing or changing the filter. I am disappointed in their service and feel that they took advantage of me as a young traveler passing through with little car knowledge.

Collins Automotive has saved me twice in two weeks! First time my head light wire had burned out and they fit me in that afternoon! They made it so it was effortless with 3 kids. Then today my sliding van door wouldn't shut. My husband and I tried everything. When we got to Collins their technicians helped immediately! They were able to fix my door so it was able to safely close so we could make it home. I am so grateful for their technicians and will always highly recommend them! They have customers for life.

Broke down traveling though Nebraska with a 63 Studebaker heading to Hotrod power tour and this shop was quick to take a look at it and help us get back on the road. Really professional and friendly. I'm a shop owner myself and felt they cared about the cars and customers as much as I do. If your in this area and need work I would highly recommend. Thanks guys! While driving through Nebraska, my check engine light came on and my vehicle started driving rough. After working with Collins Automotive for years, I was happy to recently have them prepapre my vehicle for winter with a great set of tires.The team there is one of the best you'll find. You've got knowledgeable, kind people with the tools and skills to handle your auto needs.

I stopped here for an urgent situation in the middle of a road trip. I was helped during lunch and even educated on the issue. The service was phenomenal, and I wish I lived closer so I could make this my go-to auto shop!

I have mixed thoughts here. I am new to town and went here on the recommendation of a co-worker. They open at 7:30am which is also a big convenience due to my work schedule. I arrived just before 8am and was asked to return in an hour which was not an issue. I returned at 9am and they started on my 2012 Nissan Altima immediately. All I needed was a simple oil change. After only about 30 minutes, another pleasant surprise; my car was ready to go. I was already expecting a 3% administration charge for using a card but to my shocking surprise my bill was just shy of $51; the highest cost for an oil change I have ever paid. I was also charged a rate of $5/unit for windshield washer fluid. The shocker, after review the receipt when I got home, was the nearly $30 charge for SYNTHETIC oil; something I did NOT request. Additionally, last night after getting off work, I needed to use my windshield wipers. I went to spray washer fluid on my windshield and...NOTHING! Not so much as a drop. Fortunately, it was misting enough I was able to clean my windshield off. I have a jug of (cheaper) washer fluid in my trunk but can't fill it because I need to prove there's nothing in there when I return. Bottom line, I was very happy with the staff and definitely the service but I should have been asked about using a higher priced synthetic oil. I have yet to see how my washer fluid issue is handled. I actually recommend this place even after all of this but I highly suggest you ask questions and make sure you get all the information up front and they should NEVER go above and beyond what you ask for without first discussing it with you and disclosing costs.

Huge Shout out to this AMAZING group. If you are looking for a mechanic that is honest and goes ABOVE and beyond look no further. My car wouldn't start and Collins' crew came and saved the day for me. Every time something starts to go wrong with my car I know I can call and they will get me in and get the repair done at an honest and reasonable rate.

Collins Auto is a safe and honest environment! The experienced mechanics will get the diagnosis to solve the problem quickly and efficiently, and give the customer options on what possible solutions could be. Also, they provide a wide range of tire brands and offer tire related services!

Collins services our two cars, SUV, and even our ATV and has been for several years now. I won't go anywhere else if I can help it. Now that they do tires as well, the only time I ever seem to have to go elsewhere is for alignments. Steve and Andrew are extremely honest and prices are fair.

We are from Wyoming moving to Alabama when our vehicle broke down on the side of the road.I called them because they were the first repair shop that goggle listed. They have been very kind, curtious and professional. They fixed what they thought was the whole problem but when we got down the road and started having more issues they pulled our vehicle back to shop.Looked at it and replaced a sheer rod they had missed for free.I recommend these guys if you need help.

So how far would you drive to see the right doctor? Someone you trusted would tell you what you needed to hear and then act accordingly based on your decision. For the past 36 years I have lived 150+ miles from Cozad NE, but when I need sound advice for major repairs Steve and family are who I trust. I drive a Ram 1500 truck, 10 years old with 178,000 miles on it. On a recent trip, I stopped in Cozad and had Steve and Andrew listen to the motor. Their diagnosis was broken manifold bolts and what could happen over time if I did not fix. This brought me to the cross roads of do I trade it or do I fix it? It also was due for new tires, brakes, fluid changes, etc. I consulted Steve on how many miles I should expect from the truck should I decide to fix it based on his experience. He shared with me the pros and cons, what their experience has taught them on longevity of this vehicle model and what else I should consider replacing should I decide to fix and keep. I chose to have it repaired and can not be more pleased with the service, what it cost to repair and replace the above components plus new struts and shocks. What's also important to note is there were items I assumed would need replaced, but they only repaired and replaced what didn't pass their inspection. Honest Integrity! I love it! In the end I paid for and received, a sound diagnosis, quality products, excellent service and nothing I didn't need. Very helpful and helped me out in a jam when I needed a special tool that I didn't have when trying to overhaul my own motor charged me a very reasonable amount to take my flywheel off and with very short noticce
