Brought in my '14 Outback because it was showing signs of a cvt valve body failure (at 193k miles). Dan was quick to assess and did recommend a valve body replacement. We scheduled a day and by noon it was ready for pickup. Now it drives like it's brand new. Great work, excellent customer service, and very fair pricing. If you're a Subaru owner and tired of paying dealership prices, I highly suggest giving Gengel Auto a visit! They are now my go-to for Subaru service.

Dan was very helpful and got me in quickly. My Mother and brother go to Gengel and they recommended it to me. Dan got all my work done in less than 8 hours and that is crucial because it is my only car. They checked other things than what I was in there for and I really appreciate that. I trust the work that was done and think they really care about their customers which means a lot to me being a single woman and needing someone I can trust to not take advantage of me. I commend Dan for being honest with me and letting me know what else needed to be done. Great experience!

Dan inspected a car for my daughter prior to purchase (He also services my Subaru Outback). He did a great job and was very detailed in his report. He explained everything on the report to me and gave me a little history on that type of car. I had this done with another company and another car years ago. Dan far surpassed the service I got at that time. He reminds me of the days in a small town when you have the one or two mechanic shops that everyone went to because they trusted them. Dan is that type of mechanic. I have total trust in what he tells me and complete confidence I am not getting snowballed or taken advantage of.

Came to this shop after having gone to a dealership for years and wish I would ve done it sooner. Shop was very clean and professional looking and better yet, the owner was honest in his recommendations for my vehicle and not trying to sell me on unnecessary services. Making an appointment was easy and they got the job done quick. Will be coming back.

We were referred to Gengel Auto Repair by a friend and we are very pleased with the service we have received! Dan has been wonderful to work with. He is knowledgeable and fair. He always lets us know in advance what maintenance will need to be done on our cars as he sees parts running down so we can save for it (ie in about 10k miles you ll need your belt replaced and this is an estimated price point for that repair )We have found his prices to be very competitive. The staff at Gengel Auto provides honest and quality service. Dan has done full inspections on my vehicles and has provided me with assessments of what repairs were needed and which ones could wait a while longer. Every time he has fixed my vehicle, he has charged a fair price and has completed fast service. The staff is also very professional and easy to talk to. They fully explain what s wrong with your vehicle and break down the options for fixing it. I will be returning to Gengel auto for all of my vehicle needs. I highly recommend this business to anyone! I've always worked on all of my own vehicles myself because I don't trust other people working on my cars or charging me for something I don't need. I don't have that problem with Gengel Auto Repair though. Dan's the only mechanic I've ever let work on my cars. He's helped me multiple times troubleshoot problems that I couldn't figure out on my own and he's very efficient at it! Most recently he just replaced the tires on my truck and while it was in the shop, he checked all of my fluids and air filter just as a courtesy. Little things like topping off my washer fluid and checking everything else is what sets this shop apart from any other. Best subaru mechanic I have ever meet!!! Honest and straight forward a real stand up guy! Brought him my sons sti that jumped timing, he did everything he could to save that motor but it was a lost cause. Had to put a different motor in which he did very quickly and at a reasonable price i don't feel I was gouged at all.
