There are such helpful people at this store. We had two people approach us to helpNever would happen at a big hardware store. They also had an obscure light bulb and 1/2 gallon Mason jars. Love this place

There was a large selection of items here. They had most of the items I needed. Few items were out of stock. Prices seemed very fair and I didn't have to wait in line to check out.

Convenient and easy access. Parking is large. Has everything a hardware store should have. We needed ratchet straps and there was a large selection.

An iconic hardware store in Whitefish. Nelson s is a family owned store that has been a stalwart for those looking for many different kinds of hardware. Their staff is second to none: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile. Nelson s is known for it s awesome paint selection and plumbing section. And the best news is they have recently built and brand new store! It s gorgeous. I have enjoyed shopping Nelsons for years and I look forward to many more years to come!

Great service. When I go to the other major hardware and lumber stores, it is hard to find help and find things period. In Ace, there is always a staff person nearby asking if they can help and they take you to the selection of products. If they don't have it, they sometimes offer to order it. I was recently in a different store in Kalispell and after struggling to find a staff person, I was suggested a numbered aisle to go check. I had already been in that aisle and the staff persons body language clearly communicated they didn't want to help me. Ace lives up to their motto of being helpful hardware folks.

Always helpful. Parking can sometimes be a bit crowded depending on how busy they are. Tidy and clean store though.

I ve been to Nelson s Ace twice this week since visiting my daughter and son-in-law and working on their landscape. Both times everyone was incredibly helpful, and we will absolutely return for all our project needs.

Great hardware store with excellent employees. I shop here first before going online or driving to Kalispell. You'd be surprised how many items are squirrelled away on those shelves.

Likely the best hardware store I've been in for a long time. Reminds me of hardware stores before 'big box' stores were around. Friendly helpfull staff and household items not available at HD or Lowes. Yeti, trager, lodge, and many other household items.

Clean only thing is I felt like I was bei.g followed around like I was going to take things...other then that it was awesome....the older guy with the glasses I can't remember his name tall older glasses....he was awesome..

I would give 1000 plus stars if what i am after can be realised but they can still keep the rating :) looks really beautiful there reminds me of my home town out east in Canada back in the day really friendly staff and manager to talk too he would be a God amongst men if i ended up getting what i am after :) Canadian spoken words :)

Came in to get my keys recut because the first ones were just slightly off. They made me all new keys free of charge and while I was waiting not one employee walked past me without asking if I had already been helped/ if I needed anything.Exceptional customer service.

Everyone there was so very helpful, got help and input from everyone working and Jim helped me find all the right parts for my project. Also, the new guy (Corey? Can t remember) he delivered popcorn to me because when I went in and saw the popcorn I got super stoked so he brought it to me once it was ready (and I was outside on my way out!) great service. Great people!

Expensive and only if you are lucky and arrive well before closing time will you get customer service. No improvements in customer service

I have been going to Nelson's since I was a kid in 1970. As an adult, I chose Nelson's over the chain stores, simply because they were a local family-operated business. On top of that, they always had what I was looking for, and although quarters were cramped, everything was well-organized and staff was super friendly and helpful if I couldn't find something.Shortly after the new location opened, I had my first bad experience at Nelson's ever. They didn't have what I was looking for. I had to hunt for someone to help me, and when I finally found someone, they acted like they could care less. I wrote it off to opening a new store and just being disorganized. However, on subsequent trips they didn't have common items in stock and the caring, relaxed attitude and exemplary customer service I had loved at the old location seemed to have disappeared. Also, the old location was more convenient despite parking, as I could just pop in and pick up what I needed while I was downtown for other reasons. Now it requires a special trip, which I am no longer willing to make given the fact that customer service seems to be suffering since the move.

I recently purchased painting supplies here, and worked with an excellent pair of employees. One was training the other and they were both extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. While they prepared the paint I shopped around for other supplies and received help from other employees, all of whom were very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend shopping here.

Hands down a one stop shop!! Trust me I've been to all the local Hardware stores and this Ace takes the cake. Clean, orderly, helpful staff, excellent inventory. You will be in and out and back to your project in no time.

Staff is always super helpful. They have all sorts of little odds and ends that you can't find in a big box store and they've always helped me find supplies to finish my projects.

Attitude is everything! Normally a wonderful team and today Don and manager were great but dealing with Jeanene twice at the counter really upset me. She needs an attitude adjustment. There was a pricing issue and she was so rude and uncaring. Even after Don verified and manager instructed her to fix it, she wanted to argue and make it a customer issue instead of store pricing problem. When I come back I'll wait in line for a different cashier. I think the manager realized when my attitude changed from thanking her for taking care of it to offended by her employee. She was also rude to her fellow employee Don and disrespectful to the manager. I intentional chose to come here over the big box stores and have been in once a week for past month getting ready for winter. Previously great guys working the floor but second issue with price.
