Do not believe the rating on hotels or Expedia. You get what you pay for. It s an older place, the bathroom had black mildew on the shower wall, there was some kind of funk on the corner wall next to the tub, the entire motel had a smell to it that wasn t very appealing. The bed sheets had a stain on it and hair, and I hadn t even sat down in the bed, plus the unknown stain on the rug. When I addressed housekeeping about it, the woman got offensive about it. The front desk staff were excellent and pleasant to deal with. Marley was awesome! I do not recommend this place.

I'm only giving this place a 3 out of five because of the following reasons. Customer service 4 out of 5. Friendly willing to assist. Room condition hmm large room could use some repairs. Like tub, lighting. Now let's talk clean. I have a big time with how a room looks when I walk into them. I'm picky. All surfaces should be wiped down and not leaving someone else soda pop stain on areas. There should be enough toilet paper in the restroom. Mirror should be clean. Floors spotless. Well not so much. The maid service needs to step up and have some pride in the rooms they turn out. There shouldn't be dust anywhere. But for the cost of the room I can't ask for much.

Best hotel in all of Sidney and possibly in the state of Montana! Why?, The staff! I'm a hockey parent and I travel alot. Us hockey families like to let loose when we're on the road! We know that we can be loud and obnoxious (we try not to be). We all truly appreciate the kindness, patience and understanding that we we received. We'll be back soon for 1 last hockey tournament this weekend and I can't wait to see my new friends again at the Richland!....and a little dog named Potato!

Only had two nice employees, the girl who was there later at night and one who we only saw two times. otherwise the entire time we were there sadie especially was extremely rude, to both me and my husband. The bathroom is ridiculously tiny so i guess its a good thing we are small people because otherwise we may not have fit. cracks in the walls and the wall next to the shower was corroded and mushy.. only two outlets in the whole room worked, the sinks was cracked. again whoever the girl at night was was who made the entire trip decent. otherwise, not the best hotel . it did the job.

One of the nicest motels in Sidney is now a disgusting.Upon entering the motel it smelled like cigarette smoke. When we got to our room (a king size) we have no blanket and only one set of towels.Let s start with this, I own a cleaning business and I have also been a housekeeping manager. So yes, I check every room I stay in from top to bottom. This room was possibly Cleaned by a 10 year old. Or maybe it s me thinking of how a customer would want there room to be.The Bed1.like I said no blankets2: Stained sheets3.Bed was very uncomfortable4. Don t forget to vacuum underneath and dust the bed frames.5.Check the bed frame for fingerprints and disinfectant it.Mirrors1. What the heck are you using to clean the mirrors with? Fingerprint on all mirrors, smudges all over. Did you even clean it?Dressers1. You don t use cleaners on dressers! This wears out the stain on it and leaves it looking awful, just like it was in our room.2. Does your vacuum not work? Vacuum out the dressers and disinfect it!Sink area1. You should clean the sink! There is always a Faucet, that shining thing on top of the sink should not have mildew, hair and toothpaste on it.Shower, toilet and floors1. OMG! How do you not see what you didn t cleaning!2. The shower is awful, have you heard of a magic eraser? It takes scum and all sorts of other stuff out.The trim around the shower should not have a hard layer of dust, soap and hair on it. The shower head put vinegar in a bag and let it soak for 15 minutes BAM! Clean and working like it should.Toilet1. Did you know that boys pee standing up?Will, they do and that means it gets everywhere. Walls, floors and around the toilet.Bathroom Floor1.1 I really appreciate you leaving someone else s pubic hair for us.Cleaning tipsEvery single corner and straight trim should be cleaned.Fans, lights, switches and outlets ( look at them )Everything should be wiped down with a disinfectant. Floors should be vacuumed and mopped properly. Look at the fire alarm, If there is baggie over itDrugs were used in that room.Your probably wondering why I continued to stay in this room.1. Could never find a front desk clerkWhen I asked and told the front desk she just ignored it.2. It s hard changing rooms when your handicap.3. We were visiting family and our focus was on them.Your elevator needs a good disinfectingThe smears left on there is dirt, germs and god knows what else.Dust! Dust! Dust! Top to bottom! What happened to breakfast? Oh yeah, there wasn t any. Cold coffee was okay.I don t think we will stay at this once very popular and clean establishment. It has gone down hill.Good thing was, there was always good parking spots. Now I have to check my credit card to make sure they charged me correctly.P..S No privacy in the bathroom cause you can t shut the door!

For a $60 room my expectations were not high, but I at least expect a room to be clean. I check in for 3 rooms. I booked my stay through another website so I called ahead to make sure that the rooms I requested were pet friendly. I was told by the gal at the desk that whoever assigned our rooms did so incorrectly, resulting in our rooms to be spread out all over, rather than together. She also mentioned that one of the rooms may not be cleaned, and that she would check to make sure. She clearly did not check and assigned us a dirty room anyway. No breakfast, not even due to COVID. They simply don t serve it.Overall, we will not be staying again.

I had called and made reservations for Sunday night. While checking in they found out my stay was for the funeral of a long time friend that lived in SidneyThe staff was so friendly and accommodating. When ckeckout yesterday morning I was totally surprised with the room rate they had given me. The room was very clean and nice. In fact it was more and nicer than I had expected. The hot breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much for everything. If I ever need a room in Sidney I will definitely stay at the Richland Inn.

In 6 days, the hotel cleaned our room one time, after we requested it. They never removed the trash or changed out the bedding. We could get clean towels and new soap only if we went down to the front desk to pick them up.When we asked the front desk clerk to let the manager know we were unhappy, she told us he shouted at her if she tried to help the guests, so she stayed as far away from him as she could. With all the new hotels in town, we will try one of them next time. But beware, the owner of the Richland Inn also owns two of the others in Sidney.

Wasn't expecting breakfast. Clean and quiet room. Thanks to Sarah, reservations, check in and check out we're a breeze. I am a very frugal person, and the Richland was perfect. Only suggestion is a few patio chairs outside would've been nice.

Well....The beds were decent. The breakfast was pretty good. The WiFi sucked in room206. They need more range extenders or repeaters. No window shades so you're up with the light. The place was expensive but so are all of them out in this area; everybody is price gouging.

The staff can be a bit more cheery. Customer service is not their forte. The rooms are good. Make sure to close door behind you really well. Many doors are left ajar when they should actually close behind you. Priced well. If I were to ever come this way again I would stay here.

OMG. Beware of the dining room. We have experienced DOGS eating at the tables!!! One even put its face into my plate. The owner of the dog did absolutely nothing and worse yet neither did the hotel!!! The door was so short there was a 2 inch gap under it. The TV didn t work entire time I was here. When each of the hotel with my problems they just blew me off as to that is how things are done around there. I would never recommend anyone stay at this motel!!! It sucks!!

I used to live in Sidney but moved back to my hometown a few years ago. I return regularly to visit friends & necessary appointments. I chose to stay at Richland Inn each and every time I return. I have never had a bad experience here, whether it's with the rooms, staff or price. They are so accommodating and friendly. I cannot stress enough about how amazing the room rates are. The phrase "you get what you paid for" does NOT apply here. You get so much more!

The price attracted us. Very reasonable. Clean. Bed was more comfortable than other chain hotels in town where we have stayed. Staff hepful And friendly. Breakfast better than expected. Tip: request an east-facing room. Less traffic noise.

The Good:You get a good value for the price. Most inexpensive Hotels tend to cut costs, by providing just the basics so guests can "just get through the night." This hotel is an exception, the rooms have the extras and amenities you'd expect from a pricer hotel but for a lower rate. Some examples of amenities that I didn't expect from this place included; a hot breakfast (w/ healthy options), nice beds, well up-kept bathrooms, expanded cable, and a fridge + microwave in room, perfect for the common traveler. Not to mention their breakfast is EXCELLENT! Thick-cut bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffles, fruit, toast, yogurt, what more could you ask for?The Bad:Every time I've checked in to this hotel there's been a problem. The first time I was sent to a room that hadn't been cleaned. I received an apology and was shown a new room. The next time I stayed, they said they had no record of my reservation and that I had to call Expedia myself and have them fax my reservation to the Hotel. Another time the desk attendant mentioned that they were unsure if my reserved room was occupied or not so they went with me to make sure, it wasn't, but it's 2016, we have computers to determine room occupancy, these should all be non-issues. Now for the rooms, for starters there are no electric outlets near the bed, if you have electronics to charge you have to plug them in by the sink or behind the TV stand. While everything in the rooms works fine, a few furnishings and fixtures are dated and need to be replaced. The Conclusion:This hotel is a great value for the money. And for what I paid, I will definitely be staying here again. The rooms look like they were recently painted, good to see the desired upkeep If you compare this hotel with pricer, modern hotels you will be disappointed, but considering the value for the money, I feel like the downsides aren't enough to keep me from staying, and I will defiantly stay here again next time I am in Sidney.

If you are taller than 5 ft and way more than 150 pounds, then you should choose somewhere else to stay. Also the bed was very, "well used" The breakfast buffet was non-existent. No amenities, and the staff were not very friendly.

Super comfy bed. Courteous desk attendant. And most of all, the most delicious and varied breakfast I've had at any of the 30 hotels I've stayed at in the past month! I would recommend it just based on the breakfast.

Was a place to seem pretty nice I didn't have to stay there myself., but I had a couple friends from out of town come in and that's where they stayed and they were happy with the visit the accommodations, the service. You're on the downtown main strip next to McDonald's and Shopko. so it's a good location

We booked a room for two nights through Hotwire.com. Due to bad weather, we didn't make it to the hotel until after midnight on the first night. The hotel wouldn't check us in because it was technically no longer the check-in date. Since we missed the check-in date, they wouldn't honor the reservation, even though we were there during that first night and we had still paid for a second night. When you pay for a night in a hotel, you generally check in after 3pm and you have until 11am the NEXT DAY to check out. Obviously, the hotel night you pay for doesn't end at midnight. They wouldn't let us use any of our reservation - the night of check in or the second night either. Extremely poor customer service in my opinion.
