I brought John at UCDI, my daughter's 1996 Jeep Cherokee for a crank, no start problem. John was able to diagnose the issue and give us prompt feedback on what the issue was within hours of dropping off the Jeep. It appears it is a timing chain issue. Due to other large projects in the queue at John's shop it would be a while before he could tackle our project. Unfortunately, it was longer than we felt we could wait. Since my wife and I were visiting our daughter, we found several auto garages with extremely long lead times working on vehicles, so this was not a shock to us. When I came to settle up on the bill, John did not charge us for his time to diagnose the issue, even though I was more than willing to pain for his time to diagnose the issue. John's diagnostic report was comprehensive. I would not hesitate to bring another vehicle to john in the future.

A small garage that you can work on you own vehicle. They also have help for larger jobs. From simple oil changes to brake jobs. Need to call to schedule an appointment. Worth it if you enjoy working on your own vehicle and need the extra space to do it.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

John at UCDI was extremely helpful when we were traveling through town and having transmission issues. We called every shop in Missoula and John was the only one willing to drop what he was doing and diagnosed our vehicle in a time sensitive situation. Very thankful and highly recommend this shop.

The folks here are amazing! As an out of towner on a time crunch, I could not appreciate these guys more! Smart, friendly, and reliable! Not only did they solve the problems I brought them, but they discovered and solved problems that I didn't even know existed. I've been to numerous shops who say they've done all they can, so I know these guys are the real deal for sticking with my project. I really couldn't be more grateful. Go to Ucan Doit, you won't regret it!!!

First i will say i will be coming to UCDI for mechanic work from now on. My experience was great, they guy i worked with (who's name i now forget) was extremely knowledgeable, the price was lower than most places i have gone to in missoula and they went above and beyond. Even did some body work for me that was probably worth hundreds of dollars for $30. Its nice to feel like you can genuinely trust a mechanic and this shop will absolutely not try to push you into getting more things fixed than you agreed to. Plus driving away from this place i could right away feel my vehicle was driving so much better...and thats how it should be.Highly recommend using UCDI Auto!

Broke down traveling for work and we lucked out and called these folks first! They were 3 1/2 weeks out but put us in the same day and had it diagnosed and fixed the next day. It's tough enough out "there" making a living and to have help like this is absolutely awesome! Thanks to the Guys in the shop for helping us! The girls in the office said they had to ask you first! LOL

Excellent people. Does great work, got me in the same day to fix my brake. Will use their service again. If you can do your own repair they allow you to rent by hours and have the lead mechanic assist (fee), if needed. Highly recommeded.

Incredible service! We had our catalytic converter stolen while parked at the Ravine Creek trailhead, and Daryl, the owner, had me bring the truck in that same day (a Saturday). He had it fixed and ready for pickup by the next day. Every other shop I called told me it would be 1-2 weeks before they could fix our truck. Thanks Daryl for the phenomenal service!

These guys were wonderful, Kenneth was able to change the relay for my Blinker/Hazards really fast, everyone I talked to was very nice. Not to mention they fit me in on a SATURDAY! I went to the dealer ship and they wanted to charge me a arm and leg just to look at my car with out fixing anything but they also wouldn't of been able to look at my vehicle until the following week, which didn't work for me cause I needed to leave town the next day, these guys were were fair priced. I really appreciate everything thank you!

They had our jeep for 2 months on a job they said will take a couple weeks. We paid almost 2000 cash in advance. There were no communication and every time we called to get an update we would get yelled at. Finally when our jeep was done. They surprised us with a bill of another 1400 dollars with no prior discussion of this price. The lady Wendy that owns this place yelled at me and told me she could treat me any way she wanted. She told me "my generation was lazy and all we wanted was everything for free" I walked out in tears. Terrible place never recommend ever!!! I was always professional with her and her mechanics and to be yelled at and told that she can treat me however she wants. I am a paying customer and she feels she can treat me like this. She owns a mechanic shop and told me she knows nothing of cars. So I wouldnt trust this place.Service: Engine repair

Daryl was extremely helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We took our car to several different mechanics and Daryl at U Can Do It was by far the most honest and professional. He agreed to work on our car without an appointment, explained what he was doing and why, and went above and beyond in trying to get us back on the road as soon as possible. They had my car for nearly a month now and keep giving me the run around, saying it'll be done soon than they need another week or so. I paid full cash in advance to have my vehicle done. I'm still sitting here without my vehicle and they still have my money I already paid. By the sound of it now Jim says another month or so. I would only recommend getting a free diagnostic from this place, before they tear your car down and hang on to it for as long as they can. Will not be coming back after they finish my jeep maybe after 2months of working on it. I will update after I receive my jeep sometime this year. Darryl is cool but his mechanics are rude.Service: Engine repair

Absolutely incredible service. Darryl (hopefully correct spelling) and Kenneth really helped us with our brake issues. They researched what needed to be done and did a thorough check to make sure that was the issue. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Apparently under new management. Great do it yourself concept. Amazing learning experience. All tools provided. Took my crv there and have changed all brake pads, catalytic converter, clean rotors and emergency brake, arm control, and tie rods, etc... in every single change, I got stuck and was not only helped on how to fix my car, but I was also taught in detail the problem and solutions. Thank you Cory for being a great mentor and congrats to the new operation at the garage.

I have an old 1987 Toyota Pickup. It needed some maintenance and repairs. I didn't feel comfortable doing them myself, but, I did know someone I could trust the job with. "UCan Doit Garage" I have know Darrell for years. I knew what ever problem I had Darrell and his team could fix. They did a great job. Corey was amazing! After getting stuck 600 miles from home with a bad wheel bearing and getting quoted ridiculously high quotes from other shops in town, I got a hold of Corey who was able to not only get me in the shop immediately, but do the repair in half the time quoted by other shops and for a fraction of the cost. Having worked in the automotive industry for 16 years myself, I can confidently say that Corey's experience and expertise in automotive service was impressive, and his interactions with customers were positive, personable, and generous. This place is amazing especially if you get one of life's infamous car curveballs. They helped me out and were far cheaper than any shop. Did a radiator flush and an oil change. I came here for a job that required a hydraulic lift, a few tools I didn't have in my toolbox, and an extra pair of hands. Darrell and Tim helped out with all three and then some. When my 30 minute job turned into a 3 hour job the mechanics here were constantly helping with the right advice or the right tool. This place is the perfect mix of "help, I don't know what I'm doing" and "mind if I give it a whack?" to become a better auto mechanic. I'll be coming here for all of my future auto repair needs, and I'd recommend that everyone else in Western Montana does too.Service: Body & Trim

We were stranded on a Sunday and Daryl was one of the only shops open in Missoula. He took the car in, fixed it and saved our vacation so we could get back on the road that night!! He even called the next morning to make sure we made it to our next destination. Highly recommend U CAN DO IT!! Mid road trip my car broke down 30 miles outside of the city of Missoula. This shop got me in right away, stored my car inside immediately and got me back on the road in no time. Very friendly service and even invited me in to the garage to see and explain the problem. Would happily recommend this shop to anyone.

You have the option to hire a mechanic or fix it yourself at a cheaper rate. If you lack the tools or your property managers won't allow you to work on your vehicle and you prefer to do it yourself. Great value. And if your not sure how to fix a certain part. They will help walk you through it. Unique customer service for sure. 5 .
