If you've got an older car, i would 110% recommend Carl's.I took my 95 cadillac to them a little bit ago for a new starter, and was told my motor mounts were shot, as well as the starter.they fixed the starter, and patched up the motor mounts for me and were extremely honest about the repairs needed, and didnt try to oversell me on anything. With older cars, id trust them! Thanks Carl's! now my caddy is back on the road and better than ever!

Completely screwed us over on our car. After getting it back all controls on steering wheel don t work. Telling us they will charge us to fix it even thought they were the people who caused the problem. Quoted one price then tried to charge another. Completely tried to take advantage of my daughter because she s a young woman. Considering litigation. Nothing short of fraudulent.

Took my van in to Carl today for the first time needing a serpentine belt replaced asap. Great guy very friendly and polite. I showed up without an appointment and he still got my van in the garage and belt replaced in no time for me with no hassle. SKIP THIS PLACE.I took my 4runner in with some steering problems. I thought there was a power steering leak. Jim called and told me I needed to replace the steering rack, right CV axle, and the serpentine belt - so that s what they did. I picked my car up with the airbag light on and none of the controls on my steering wheel working (cruise control, volume buttons, horn, airbag). It was determined that the clockspring within my steering wheel had been broken while they were changing out the steering rack - because they did not properly lock the steering wheel in place which caused the clock spring to spin freely and break. After confronting them about it, they denied responsibility and knowledge of it happening.I then went to two different mechanics to get other opinions and they both confirmed that the clock spring was indeed broken due to the work done at Carls Auto. I ended up paying another $550 to get the clockspring replaced at a different mechanic, as well as an alignment because they (Carls Auto) neglected to do that on my car after replacing the steering rack and cv axle.I highly do not recommend taking your car here. I wish I would have listened to other recommendations and waited until I could get my car in somewhere else. Not only did they break something on my car due to their negligence and then DENY it, but their customer service is also extremely poor and rude. I will also say that I chose to ignore their previous 1 star reviews and give Carls Auto a chance. That was a very regrettable choice. Carl is amazing! It is a family-owned business and I enjoy taking my vehicle there. I just recently had my front end worked on and he took time to call me up just to let me know that something that I thought that needed to be replaced actually didn't and it would save me some money! Fair honest and local.

I really enjoy Carl and his employees. They really do their best to get any issues diagnosed and fixed. Best place in town. Only place i take my vehicles. If he turns you down then there is a Good reason behind his madness and your car may be too far gone for them to even want to take it apart. Great place to go!!!!

Great guy. Checked out my AC and reported there was going to be a lot of time involved as it needed several items. I knew this and he stated he could fix it but it will cost. Right now I don t have the time or I would have him fix it. Did not charge me for the diagnostics.

My boyfriend took his jeep in for a diagnosis, carl denied his service! Apperantly there is too many issues ?? None of what he could tell us. He said he looked at the battery and didn't want to even do a diagnosis, no clue why tho!Thank you very much for denying his service and not wanting to do your job!

Not even worthy of one star. Terrible service at astronomical prices, poor communication, unfriendly and demeaning mechanic. The last place in the universe to bring your vehicle for anything. Absolute disgrace, can't wait to see them go out of business which should be very soon.

My window fell off the track into my car door so I had them put it back, cost $200 and my door panel is falling now broken and my car handle pulls different. But the window is back up so..Service: Auto glass repairService: Auto glass repair

Best shop in the Missoula area. He will shoot you straight. If it's not worth the time to repair it he will tell you. Super busy place so try and get in asap if you have any issues.
