Started taking my truck here last year. They have been great to work with. They are honest about items that should get done now vs ones you can wait on. Fair pricing and friendly staff. I always feel that I am in good hands at AVR!

I was recommended by a customer and it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend AVR because they are "Honest" and "Professional" on how they do things! I thought I had a transmission problem and was scare to death that it was going to cost me an arm or leg but it turned out not to be. AVR could of said it was and I wouldn't of know but they didn't! That's "Honest as it get!" It turned out to be something else and solved my problems. I am very thankful and grateful for their service. Please continue to do what you guys are doing and you can't go wrong!

Have taken all of cars to AVR for 3 years now. Their prices are very competitive. They have found fixes for issues other shops couldnt. So glad we have them.

Got my car in on a timely manner, fixed my issues for less than anyone else, and saved me money by telling the truth and not just fixing something they should have! Such a great experience, will definitely be back!

Went in for surging, vibrations, hard shifting and dieing but they came out test drove it took it in the shop and 20min later said they didn't know if it's the computer or transmission never checked fuel pump like I asked as fuel pump can cause these same issues but nope just checked what they wanted to and gave the closest to answer they could instead of actually figuring it out even the dealership we go through has a contract with them to find out and fix what's wrong the vehicle and that obviously did not happen as they don't know and didn't check what I asked. So unless you don't mind not knowing exactly what's wrong with your rig done go here cause they don't know just like they told me they don't know.

My van broke down and we didn't know where to bring it in for a fix (we are fairly new to the area). We asked for opinions and an overwhelming amount of people recommended AVR. We had my van towed to their shop and they looked at it. Unfortunately they were unable to fix it and recommended we go to the Chrysler dealership because of the parts needed for the repair. They called us today to let us know they weren't charging us for the diagnostic. I'm shocked! They told my husband since they didn't really do much, they weren't going to charge. For us, that is huge. We've been screwed over by so many mechanics, that we were expecting to pay a decent amount just for the diagnostic. Plus the fact that they were honest with letting us know the repair could be done faster elsewhere (due to the parts needed for my pretty new Chrysler transmission going out...not because of their staff or knowledge).We have 3 cars and I can assure you that if we have any more issues, they will be the place we bring our cars to. I have already recommended them to multiple people. It's just so rare to find mechanics with integrity, ethical, a conscience. Thank you AVR!!

Introduced by a coworker. After questionable experiences at a dealership, I switched. And very happy I did. I have wrenches, but it seems like I break more than I fix when I wield them. Pull off an alternator and my exhaust system falls off.Luckily I don't have to go there very often. Mostly oil changes.Latest experience has been my asking them to replace headlight assemblies and a fresh install of fog lights. Headlights require taking off the whole bumper so I said screw it. Might as well get foglights while the bumper is off. Made appointment with the pretense they may not be able to do foglights. Went in for appointment. They came out saying that it would take much longer than they think I expected. I had the parts. So they couldn't judge the time. They quickly assessed (less than 10m from arrival) the situation and offered a new appointment 3 days later that would work for us both. That is good service even before the service. They could have done the job and left me wondering for 4 hours while I waited thinking it was a 1 or 2 hour job. Running wire harnesses in newish cars can be time consuming.I just hope they had side projects to work on for that hour or 2 appointment I made that didn't pan out. Sorry guys. Appointment is tomorrow, and I'm sure the work will be great. The parts are on me.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Body & Trim, Engine repair, Oil change

i was really hoping this place could help me because i was recommended here by someone i work with. i brought in my 03 mitsubishi looking for some help stopping my coolant leak, and this is all i asked for and needed was the coolant to stop leaking!! anyway they told me my car was done like a week and a half later and i was honestly super stoked because i thought i wouldn t have to deal with the leak anymore and the price seemed relatively fair. but on my way home from work that same exact day it started to overheat some so i stopped and checked and absolutely no coolant was holding. just don t understand how i can pay $400, and i am still having the same problem. just disappointing.

I trust Steve to do repairs on my 80 year old mothers car, that I don't want to do myself. I have known him since the 80's when we worked together. They are trustworthy and straight up with you, no BS and you can depend on the repairs. Highly recommend

Perfect place to go I needed to get my car look d at. I ve been here a few times in the past. It was free of charge, Steve the mechanic was 20 minutes early to open the business s very professional and very friendly people . 100% recommend for any car problems you may have

I couldn't ask for a better experience! This is by far the best shop I've experienced on the road. Steve was fast, efficient and easy to work with and I was shocked at the bill. I read that he is fair and honest but wow! Thank you for getting me back on the road so fast.

I continue to bring my vehicle to them for any issue that comes up They are hands-down some of the most honest and trust worthy Business owners I ve ever met. Always kind, and always willing to look at any issue I might have they take the time to educate you about your vehicle. Highly recommend them !!!!

The only place you need to take your car. I have been to multiple places explaining how my car was vapor locking and how i thought it may be the fuel pump. Every other mechanic made me feel stupid and sent me off saying my car was fine. They spent the time to actually figure out what was wrong with my car and of course one of the things was the fuel pump. My husband then took his car in and they were quick and efficient with his problems. Forever grateful for AVR

Steve and Matt are great! They are friendly and flexible and they did a great job for a great rate. I had a small issue just after work was done but they were able to get me in quickly and get it taken without any additional cost. I've had service done by other places but I've been impressed with AVR. I'll be telling everyone I know for sure!

I was recommended AVR by someone I bought a car from. When it came time to get a timing belt replaced in another car I called these guys. They did great work and for a GREAT price. It's a good day when the bill is less than the quote! I'm sure that doesn't always happen but either way it would have been a good price and the car is running smoothly. I'll definitely return to AVR in the future.

A few friends recommended this place. Something was wrong with my transmission they took me right in did a full diagnostic, reset all the sensors. They could not find what was wrong and didn't even charge me and I would have been happy to pay for their time. Will definitely be using them again for any future mechanical problems I have

Glad, we stopped by and got someone to check out what was the problem. He drove & got it fixed right away and didn't charge us. I know our tip wasn't enough but wanted thank you and your service for the best help/quality work!!!

Highly recommended these guys! Very honest and always help me figure out what s wrong with my car. He also shows me himself what he did to fix it so that I am educated as well. I ve been there 3 times in the last month with issues and he has always gotten me in right away, and showed me what all he replaced so I know what the heck he s talking about!

I've been going to AVR for 9yrs since I moved to Montana. When Steven was in his old shop.Steve has always been fair and trustworthy. There's no better shop. Highly recommend.....

We have had all of our vehicles serviced by Steve and Matt for years now! I cannot imagine finding another shop that is as trustworthy, honest and fair. Listen, you need to understand that I'm from NY and am just about the most miserly human being alive when it comes to finding a good mechanic. I am ALSO a commercial driver with mechanical experience and have been to 7 shops around town (Willie's, A+ Automotive, Sears, Tire Rama, Blue Ribbon etc) and these guys are absolutely the best mechanics with the best price. I heard about Steve (the owner) from some of the other bus drivers at Beach Transportation and it was the best piece of advice I've had since coming to Missoula.Steve is an absolutely honest, shoot-from-the-hip mechanic, he will NEVER recommend anything you don't need and his hourly rates are $65. If you know mechanics you know that's an excellent rate, even Willie's auto is $75. Steve is also incredibly competent to boot (he diagnosed a hydraulic tappet rattle at first glance while two other mechanics fretted for over an hour trying to figure it out).To make a long story short, you would be a fool to go anywhere else, not that these guys need the business, they're always packed, but I'm leaving for Alaska and thought I'd give Steve a send-off review for being the best Mechanic I've ever had!

avr made a ms diagnosis onceand i had to pay the pricenow they made a mis diagnosis and i again have to payplus they broke a part that is un replaceable.get my vehicle road worthystill no help.1975 dodge van............i wish them goodi want my money back$300 will do, plus my replaceable part. $?
