Warm cabins along the Yellowstone River, plus a relaxed farm-to-table restaurant. On the banks of the Yellowstone River, this collection of cozy cabins is 48 miles from Yellowstone National Park and 49 miles from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. Warmly decorated cabins feature wood furnishings and local artwork, in addition to flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, minifridges, and tea and coffeemakers. All have porches; some offer river views. Upgraded cabins add kitchenettes, living rooms and pull-out sofas. Parking and continental breakfast are complimentary. There’s also a casual farm-to-table restaurant with a terrace and views of the river.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding (had the wedding at their venue), the views were amazing, the rooms were not. All the AC units in their rooms (we visited 4 others that had friends staying) were dirty. Dust and debris were in the filters and lots and lots of bugs! I understand if bugs entered during our stay but they were covered in bugs when we checked in. Our bathrooms had bugs all over the ceiling and dead bugs on the vanities. We asked for towels at the office but never received them as well. The views made up for it though. If we visit Yellowstone again, we would pay more for nicer lodging.

Wonderful stay at the Yellowstone Valley Lodge! We traveled with family, including small children and a dog and it was amazing! We even ended up extending our stay we were having such a great time. The cabins are really nice, spacious and worked well with our family. I loved the large porch, complimentary breakfast and of course the views! Everyone on site was super friendly as well. We can t wait to come back!

I found this place via Travelzoo but once here I realized there are way better hotels in the area with actual staff. The office is closed 90% of the time and they are doing construction. The restaurant was overpriced and doesn t do take out for hotel guests.3 stars for the view and hot water pressure. Added a star because the bed was comfortable even though you can hear your neighbors talking in the other room.

The rooms are half of a little cabin. It would be great to bring family/kids and have connecting doors. Excellent hot breakfast comes with. We visited the week after flooding closed the entrance into Yellowstone. The little town is cute with a quilting/yarn shop, a crystal store, and a grocery filled with local foods and gifts. The lodge property was beautiful in summer. Each room has a private outside area with views of the river. We sat and bird watched for a bit. It is a bit of a drive but totally worth it. We hope to come back.

I often wondered where the inexpensive chain hotels of the early 70 s went. Well they have been recreated at this hotel. That is fine to have that type of hotel but don t charge $300+ per night for it. The room was clean and the view from the shared patios was great. Unfortunately you can hear very clearly what your neighbors are saying on the shared patio. The woman next door got on her speakerphone to question the restaurant about what was on the flatbread that evening and did they have a hamburger on the menu for her daughter. The complimentary breakfast was awful. The melon was unripe and the pastries tasted liked they were prepared last month. The packaged eggs tasted like packaged eggs. Spare me the lecture on the charges for losing a key.

Beautiful location and wonderful staff!!We took my ill father in June to enjoy his favorite place, Yellowstone NP. The staff were extremely accommodating. We had a first floor master bedroom and could move the wheelchair on the porch within feet of the river. Ericka ensured we had extra supplies as needed, Beth made breakfast according to my father's dietary needs, then managers Kevin and Danielle stopped by to visit with us. I appreciate the kindness and care shared with us. Thank you so much for making my father's last trip amazing!!

You cannot find a better view than these cabins overlooking the Yellowstone River and the amazing wildlife that surrounds it. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the cabins were very comfortable, our kids had a blast outside exploring and fishing and didn't want to watch TV once, and the restaurant was OUTSTANDINGLY delicious with a great wine list!!!! We checked out a few other resorts during our stay just to see what was out there and nothing compared to the food, view and lodging here. We already booked for next month and next Summer!

4 stars for business travel5 stars for vacation travelI arrived around 8:30pm and they have a late check-in procedure. I called to see if i could make a reservation at the on-site restaurant but was told the kitchen had closed. There are a few dinning options a short drive down the valley. Rooms are great, walls between the cabins are kinda thin but view is absolutely amazing.Part of the late check-in is stopping by the office in the morning, which doesn't open until 8am. I stopped in at 7:59 and was told they were closed by a young woman, who took my key but couldn't issue me a bill(required for a business expense report). She then ran out to make sure I signed something, but again no receipt. I had to call the following day to have a receipt emailed.Busy place, also seemed to have some camper vans parked in the lot and some construction happening.

Unique and cozy destination on the river with friendly and helpful staff. Used this as my base camp for travels into Yellowstone each day and it was perfect! Continental breakfast in the morning was simple but flavorful and featured a different dish and fresh made pastry each day. Only things that could have made my stay more enjoyable would be a hot tub looking out on the river and more days on my vacation

I cannot begin to describe how amazing this place is. The staff is amazing, especially Alecia in the restaurant - she makes the most delicious breakfast EVER! The rooms in the cabins are very comfortable and have a beautiful view of the Yellowstone river. The cabins are duplex units, so the walls are a little thin - but if you are bringing the entire family you can just open the joining door between the rooms. The beds are comfortable and they have really nice heavy blankets on them. The restaurant dinner was very good and also gives you a great view of the river. They lit the fire pits and we sat there after dinner. The breakfast - AMAZING! Everything made from scratch and delicious. Lots of fresh fruit and juice, and coffee! Definitely worth the extra drive to the park to stay here!

We knew the weather would be unpredictable at best for early spring, and the warm and welcoming cabin at YVL made it all worth it. The views, the staff, the amenities and the top notch restaurant were all above and beyond expectations.Food & drinks: World class food and service

Listening to the Yellowstone River as it lapped at its banks, waking up early to catch the glorious Milky Way, planning day trips and playing board games at the kitchen table, chatting with cabin neighbors on our deck, playing fetch with the dogs on the green grass in the valley, and enjoying the fire outside the restaurant after a delicious meal these memories are what your lodge gave our little group of three. Thank you for an inspirational respite! Our stay was too short, only four nights. Next time, more time!

This is such a special place. The location is close to Yellowstone, however it's secluded and offers plenty of relaxation. I could have spent most of the vacation sitting on the patio, just enjoying drinks while listening to the river. The hotel restaurant is also amazing, with great service and top-notch ingredients. After spending the rest of our trip around crowded Jackson Hole, I missed this place even more. I highly recommend staying here.

We recently stayed for 3 nights and had a fabulous experience. The location right on the river is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed coffee and wine out on our little patio!! The breakfast was AMAZING...fresh baked goods, super friendly staff and a spectacular view (to include watching the prairie dogs) was a definite highlight. We were lucky enough to get dinner reservations for two nights and we were thrilled with the wine selections and amazing local, fresh menu. We will definitely be returning with family and friends. Super easy drive from Bozeman airport.

This place is absolutely stunning. The views are to die for, the rooms are amazing, and the Yellowstone river is your back yard. Staff is awesome and the restaurant is perfect. I'm from Philadelphia and we have some stunning restaurants, the one at this lodge could easily compete, and beat some of them. Food and wine is amazing with a huge selection and the prices are perfect. I cannot stress how amazing this place is and you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in a newer 2 bedroom cabin with a king bed and two single beds in the loft. We arrived late so they tapped our key to the outside door for us. The cabin was nicely decorated and clean. The view in the morning along the river was great. They had a nice hot breakfast included with the stay. We would definitely stay there again.

What an awesome place! You'd think it would be enough that it's simply beautiful ... overlooking the Yellowstone River... but our room was fantastic - much better than any midrange hotel like a Hampton Inn or Garden Inn and better than everywhere we stayed in Yellowstone. And if that wasn't enough you gotta eat there. In addition to the food being excellent - I think we may have just met the friendliest people in the entire Gallatin Valley! So wonderful!BTW - about this place is about half the cost (and twice as nice) as anything in Yellowstone. Stay the night here, have breakfast, then go into Yellowstone.Such a great place.. we will definitely be back!

Wonderful place. A great view of the river and mountains from the deck at the rear of the cabin. Morning breakfast was great many choices, not a typical hotel breakfast the two ladies in attendance were friendly and helpful. The zuncini bread may had been the best part but my son thought the breakfast burritos wete very good and the coffee was excellent. the supper in the restaurant on site was very good. The menu had more variety than I expected with a wide wine selection and local craft beer. I had the beef tenderloin and it was perfect.

overall nice place but on the pricier side. views are great and the cottages are cozy but our bed frame was broken so it was a bit uncomfortable. the restaurant had good food but again on the pricey side but the chef was very accommodating when we didnt have reservations or a pre order. would recommend this spot close to yellowstone. make sure to hit Tom meiner basin to see allot of grizzlies and moose. just 30 minutes south on the way to yellowstone

This place is simply paradise, with views that cannot be beat, and the sounds of the river and the wildlife serving as a live meditation video. It's in the perfect location, not only for the position right on the river, but also for how easy it was to get into Livingston, Chico, Bozeman, and the park. While I spent most of my stay on site working, the lodge made that incredibly easy. I had fast, stable wifi, and a clean, comfortable room with a kitchenette and even a gorgeous porch in the sun to work on. As a bonus, their complementary breakfast was different every day, and always delicious (highly recommend the muffins!), which always helped to get the day started right. One of the best aspects of this lodge is its staff. Every time you pass a member of the crew they are smiling and helpful. They all have great advice about places to visit in the area, and helped to guide me to some new activities and shopping nearby. There is clearly a great atmosphere here among the employees and they use that to make you feel right at home. Additionally, if you're a dog lover, you've found your spot. Maple, the lodge dog (and my favorite employee), can usually be seen helping the staff with their rounds and convincing them to play quick games of catch between tasks.Do yourself a favor and book a stay here the next time you're in the area. You will remember this place forever!

Fantastic place to stay. Cabins all have a mountain view right on the river. The view is incredible. We had dinner at the lodge and dinner service was great. Breakfast could be a little better but overall it is a great place to stay.

Quiet out of the way place 30 minutes from Yellowstone NP. Our room was updated and very nice. The connecting door to the next room allowed a lot of noise through. Good Wi-Fi. Right on the Yellowstone River, you can listen to it all night. Very nice but limited to a buffet menu breakfast. Really OUTSTANDING dinner in the same restaurant. Gourmet, very tasty, Thai influences, great wine selection and beer.

Wonderful place! My first impression upon arrival was negative... Rooms appeared to be very minimalist... The adjoining room was NOT sound isolated and the mattress wasn't great either. BUT, the view of the mountains, the river and especially the quality of the restaurant made up for it. I believe pricing is a little higher than it should be, but it's comparable to others in the area. I'd go again.
