I have taken my car to Celtic Motors for the past 20 years. My car was taken back into the shop right at my appointment time. I was very pleased that David set with me and went over the service that was provided and also what would be needed in the future.Alex, David's daughter, had two estimate sheets ready for me. One for the work that was done and the other for future service that the car would need. She explained in detail about ordering the parts and was very knowledgeable and professional. A very pleasant young lady!

The fact that they can say no your car is to old if it's past 2010 makes me feel like if the computer doesn't tell them what's wrong, then they don't know how to fix it simple job I tried to pay a company so I don't have to do it in the snow but I'll be doing it myself if anyone else gets told no your car is to old hit me up I'll fix it for you cuz they can't

Can't give a positive review if they won't even look at your car. My son's 2007 Audi A6 Quattro is "too old." According to the guy who answered the phone, "I tried, but the owner says that the repairs are too hard and they're not interested in working on older cars."So if your car is older than about 10 years, apparently look elsewhere.

I contacted Celtic Motors in June, 2023 about performing an oil change and general inspection of my 2011 BMW X5 before giving it to one of my grandsons later this summer. I suspected that the car might have an oil leak and If so I wanted that fixed and a good overall evaluation of the car before giving it away. Alex at Celtic, could not have been more friendly on the phone when I spoke with her initially and we arranged for me to drop off the car on June 18, which I did. I told Celtic that I wanted the car to be available my July 13 so that it could be transferred to the grandson. On or about June 20, I received a call from Celtic saying that the valve covers were leaking oil and should be repaired with new gaskets. I agreed and again said, from them to also screen for any other potential problems. They agreed. Finally, after several delays blamed on lack of availability of parts and technicians I picked the car up on July 13 after it had been with Celtic for almost four weeks. I subsequently turned the car over to my grandson and he started a trip back from Montana to Texas on July 21.About 130 miles into his trip in Missoula, MT (and < 250 miles since picking up fro Celtic Motors) the engine started running very rough and the check engine light illuminated. My grandson called me and I subsequently called Celtic Motors and spoke with the technician/mechanic who had worked on the car at Celtic to ask his advice. In our conversation, he could not have been more detached and less concerned about this problem. He had no suggestions as to who in Missoula might be of help in diagnosing and fixing the problem. To say the least I was very disappointed and surprised at the lack of help and the apparent disinterest in the quality of work which had been performed by Celtic Motors. My advice for anyone considering the use of Celtic Motors in the future is do not plan any long trips immediately following their work and caveat emptor.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

They were absolutely amazing with our Volvo. We were coming into town from Washington state and started having engine trouble. They worked us in, kept us updated and had the car ready to go as fast as possible. And this was during the holidays. Alex is awesome and the shop was speedy. Wish we could relocate the whole crew to out town!

Really disappointed with Celtic today. I called to schedule a service on my Porsche 986 and they turned me away. All of the sudden, they refuse to do work on a mid engine Porsche. Mind you, they have worked on this EXACT car multiple times in the past. It is beyond me how a mechanic that specializes in foreign and German cars can't/won't work on a Porsche. I wonder how skilled they really are...this is not an overly difficult vehicle to work with. The gal who turned me down was extremely kind and apologetic, so they do get points for customer service. However, I now have nobody to work on my German sports car. I really thought I could rely on these guys....I guess not.

I bought my 1st Mercedes in 1980 and have owned at least one of them ever since. David is about the best technician that I've ever had. This is a family owned business and his daughter Alex manages the office. I always feel like I pay a fair price for the great service that I receive. Thank you David & Alex for keeping me on the road!!!!!!

There is no way to express my gratitude towards Celtic Motors. I have used them for years for an S-8 that I had. I do the majority of the work myself but there are some jobs that are just simply better to leave to the professionals. On this occasion, I had taken a new to me but older A-4 in for a timing belt and transmission service. The timing belt was 10,000 from needing replacing but just based on the age of the car I wanted to do it early just to be safe. A timing belt on these is not an easy nor inexpensive job. On my way back from dropping the car off I get a call telling me that they looked the history of the car up and that my timing belt had actually been changed 10,000 miles ago so not only did it have low mileage, but it was a new belt and that there would be no reason to spend the money to change it again. WOW!!! It was awesome to me that they not only took the time to investigate the car's history but then to notify me that there was no need to perform this expensive service. Thank you so very much not only for the incredible honesty but also for the continued second to none quality. Every experience I have had there has been good anyway, but this was just totally over the top amazing!!!Services: Transmission, Engine repair

Celtic Motors saved my bacon! I rent out a Mercedes sprinter van. One of my renters recently had a message pop up on the display. Celtic Motors was able to see them that day (our local dealer has a 3 week waiting list). They were able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem and get family back on the road within an hour! Super impressive!Celtic motors is awesome! Thank you so much for helping me and my renter out!Service: Electrical

Brought my older Porsche in for full diagnostics, after waiting a month for my appointment, I was treated quite poorly as if my business were a nuisance. After supposed diagnostics and repairs were complete I drove my car less than 30 miles before the check engine light was on.I then called to bring my car back as I was unhappy with the outcome of the repairs and didn't hear back for 2 weeks. When I finally heard back after I called a 2nd time I was told that it is normal for check engine lights to come on and that I could bring my car back later on in the week for further inspection. After my 2nd appointment I was informed there would be additional charges to continue diagnostics and that it would require a 3rd appointment to continue the process.I have since found a new shop that specializes in imports (Motion Services LLC).

My family has been using these guys for all of our mechanical repairs since 2011. I was driving up the shop today for a service and turned around. These guys just lost all of our future business because of the sign they have placed on the front of their property. Good riddance!!

Excellent service every time with great people, the ladies at the front desk are beyond helpful and knowledgeable. We take several cars to Celtic including my 79 Porsche 911, several RRC s, a 12 RR Sport and a 2020 Defender 110. Highly recommended from our family.

Celtic has been taking care of my vehicles for over 12 years, an Audi a6, audi a4 and Mercedes 300sl. The work is 100% top shelf, I've never been met with anything other than honesty, integrity and compassion. They have accommodated me in every emergency auto situation I've ever had and taken my cars right then and there. By the next day they've gotten back to me with a diagnosis and a quote, which I've never disagreed with. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this business and the people that run it. They've always worked with me and I appreciate them very much.Robert P. Warren @ J. Thomas Salon

Celtic Motors--reliable, dependable, everyone knows what they are doing. They're the best Euro-techs around (and I've taken my Mercedes ML 500 and Porsche 911 to places in CA and NV, so I know). I've been going there since 2006. I recently had an emergency with my Porsche Cayenne. They looked at it and serviced my car quickly. I can't ask for better people and the prices are within the range of what I'd consider reasonable.

I was totally flabbergasted at recent visit for oil change and wiper blades. being a long time customer of previous owners and the new folks I expected to pay a bit more as it's not a lube quik. They presented me with a 350 dollar total!! That included 130 for an hours labor, 60 for the blades and I can assume 160 dollars for 8 qts of oil and a filter?? Further, there is no itemization of part or labor prices on the work order. My protest resulted in a half hour break on labor so it was "only" $285 for this minor service. Gulp.Service: Oil change

I am a mechanic myself and I actually called for some assistance The person answering the phone her name is Lauren... She gave me outstanding advice that actually worked. I was able to fix my problem through the one part that I was able to get through eBay. If you're not a mechanic and you have challenges with a import car such as a BMW or Mercedes definitely consider Celtic... Thanks again!

Great work! Was having misfires on 2 cylinders, was taken to another place several times with no improvement. Had my car there for a week, an the problems were fixed perfectly. Although there is a long wait time to get in, and my car was there for a week I still give it 5 stars. Would recommend to anyone with a euro car! Also very friendly staff, I have nothing negative to say about Celtic Motors

The new owners are insane. I was hung up on because I wanted a part for my car (which I was told earlier that morning that I could get). I called back, but they wouldn't explain politely that they don't do that anymore, so I had to get a bit nasty to even figure out if Kalispell MT even has a mechanic that can work on Audi's. Still didn't get an answer until the end of the conversation, and that was that they only work on Mercedes now, she then quickly said she had other things to do. People need to learn PR if they want to run a business that involves customer service, take a class if you can't figure it out. If she was smart she would've tried to help and maybe made some money and a good name in the process...

Best experience from a mechanic ever! I work across the street, and my car broke down in the parking lot. I called them and explained the situation. They told me to come right over, the owner came out and looked at it right away and told me he would see if he could fix it that day. He called me later and told me they would be able to, and I drove it home that night. Very friendly, willing to help and at a reasonable cost. I think I have found my mechanic! Thank you Celtic Motors for your help.

While on vacation we suddenly encountered trouble with our brakes. So on our way from Whitefish to East Glacier we detoured to Kalispell to find emergency auto repair. It was evening, but not super late. We stopped by the Auto Parts store to ask if there was a good place in town to take the car - a Mazda MPV. The guy says -- my sister works at a place not far from here -- and she lives nearby -- I'll call her... Within minutes Laurel is in the parking lot at the auto parts store listening to the "obnoxious" noise our brakes are making. Her advice: brake harder a few times, take it to the car wash and see if there's something stuck, and if it doesn't get better, come see me in the morning.Next morning: we went to visit Laurel at Celtic Motors. The lot was PACKED -- this is a busy place. We received "emergency" treatment and the car was bumped to the front of the line. Within just a couple of hours, the problem was fixed (parking brake) and we were back on our way to East Glacier.Everyone at Celtic Motors was very helpful and friendly. What a great experience. Wow.

While on a road trip we had a problem with our 2011 mercedes sprinter, when we brought it to them they found the problem within 24 hours and fixed it the next day. They are great people who do a great job for a very reasonable price.

Recently I purchased a used Range Rover at Celtic Motors. Went on a Thousand Mile Road Trip and the vehicle ran great., back home I had problems starting the vehicle. I called Celtic Motors and they said bring it in at 3. They replace the battery cables while I wait and the car runs Like Guns and Roses. FYI no charge for the fix thank Celtic Motors

This past fall my wife and I travelled to Glacier. We have been there many times and this time we deicide to try a new route which basically took us 1.5 hours on gravel and bumpy roads. Somewhere along our new adventure our steering pump hose failed. We were stranded. Long story short after a $300 tow in to Celtic Motors, and a Royal treatment from John who was very understanding of our timeline, got us on our way the very next morning. I'm actually considering servicing my vehicle here, and I live in Calgary AB.Thanks John! You saved our vacation!
