This is the kind of real, helpful, genuine local business that is hard to find anymore. Shop that has been here for decades providing good service to the community under family ownership, and continuing to do so today. Owner himself is there in the office and shop, and staff is always ready to jump in for getting something done. Efficient, knowledgeable, professional service, and good value. Lucky to have this place here doing what it does.

Had multiple visits at Woolsey Tire. The incident that caused a 2 star review is the direct result of poor management, lack of attention, and over emotional staff over doubling the cost of my service of multiple occasions after a quote without confirming with me.Brought my vehicle in for my rear breaks in to be done a few months ago. The service tech at the counter called me after 40 minutes of "labor" saying that my clips would need replaced, completely normal that's expected I said that's fine. They charged me $286 for calipers just to take the guide pins of the kit and did not replace the calipers. Nor did they send me with the rest of the caliper kit that I did not ask for. Sky rocking my invoice to unnecessary levels.So lets jumps ahead to present day; I had some concerns about my breaks I brought to the attention of Drew being that he was the one who did them. Immediately emotional, defensive and highly unprofessional mind you this was before I even got to the shop. Ill fitting for someone who is to be in charge and working with the public on a regular basis. He quoted me a diagnostic $62.50 absolutely happy to sort out what is the trouble. Unsettled of the terrain of his shop environment it was more high emotion but I needed to get to the bottom of why my BRAND NEW breaks are malfunctioning at 15k miles. I misspoke as to how many miles I thought I had driven and he was sure to try and shame me for driving my own vehicle! I have never encountered anything so silly!Due to all the high emotions Drew was feeling in this encounter and all the inquires I had about my vehicles state he felt the need the over double my 30 minute visit to $125Don't ask questions about you're vehicle here or you get the price gouge especially if you are a loyal customer.Edit: it's not vindictive Drew. You do bad business, you earn a bad review.

Woolsey tire has been a great family owned local Helena business!! They have taken care of my family for as long as I can remember. From tires brakes to other mechanic work they will find any way they can to get you back on the road even if it s chasing down moonlight hours!! Go Woolsey tire!!

As a Real Estate Broker, having a reliable vehicle and great tires are super important. Woolsey's Tire has taken excellent care of me. They rotate my tires, put my snow tires on in the fall and take them off in the spring and store the tires at their shop. They are friendly, honest and timely.Service: TiresService: Tires

WORST CAR REPAIR SHOP IN TOWN!! DONT GO THROUGH THEM, ANYWHERE IS BETTER THEN THIS PLACE. I went to getting an alignment done on my vehicle here, I called in a couple days beforehand to set up an appointment at 2:15pm on Friday 12/8/2023 they told me they would get it in a couple mins. I left and came back 240pm, he said few more mins. They ended up just putting my car in the shop at 3:10pm, at 340pm they told me there s nothing we can do with your vehicle it needs tie rods first, (which ONLY ONE WAS NEEDED, THEY WERE GONNA CHARGE ME $1200 when I WENT TO ANOTHER SHOP FOR THE TIE ROD GOT CHARGED $200!!!! THEY CHARGE YOU WAY TOO MUCH AND DONT CARE YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TIME AND DATE SET IF THEY ARE BUSY THEY WONT TAKE YOU IN, and charged me $60ish for doing nothing and made me wait almost two more hours for my appointment!Will never be showing up there again. I wouldn t recommend this place, they charge you way more than any other shop, for working on the vehicle as well, and way better customer support.

Don't buy tires here. They claim they are to busy and Drew will tell you it's not their problem. Terrible customer service beware.. I hate doing this to a family run business but until they make this right with me I will keep up the heat. They can't take these reviews down with our a lot of effort the can make this right but until they do I will let up. Talk to Drew....

Go to Woolsey! Helpful mechanics, quick service, and honest! It can feel hard to know if car shops are trying to take advantage of you if you re a girl or don t know a ton about cars but I trust these guys completely. They diagnosed a previous repair on my car had been done with a faulty part and even called the other shop on my behalf to explain the situation and confirm warranty coverage on it. Liam, Drew and Emery got me back on the road in no time. Cute shop dog, too.

Family owned and operated. Good tire shop that's been operated by the same family for 60 some years. Always stood behind their work and tires. A nice business with excellent service! I always trade there.

My mechanic Brian French sent me here for an alignment. He said they were honest and wouldn t lie about work needing to be done, when it doesn t. He was right! Incredible experience. It was a small town atmosphere, with the owner working on site. My battery was dead so they charged it up, no charge. I will be back!!

The absolute worst. We came in with a new tire leaking air due to a rock puncture. Woolseys repair was done so horrifically that no other shop in town will repair it again because Woolseys damaged the interior of the tire so badly. I m over 200 bucks out because of their shoddy work. To add insult to injury, they left tire grime/ grease handprints on my steering wheel, inner door, and shifter. Never again.

My wife and I wanted to give a big shout out and thanks to Emery and Drew Woolsey and Melissa at Woolsey's Tire on Euclid Ave. for helping us travelling Canadians who encountered some seriously-squeeling brakes when approaching Helena earlier this week. The team at Woolsey's fit us into their schedule late on a Tuesday afternoon, diagnosed and fixed the problem and charged us only a minimal 'inspection' fee. Not only did this great service help us continue our travels with confidence, but they were great ambassadors for the city... with recommendations for great pizza (Brooklyn's), tasty local IPAs (Blackfoot River Brewing Company) and must sees (Cathedral of Saint Helena, State Capital Building). These are great, genuine local people running a third-generation business with the honesty and integrity so often missing today. Helena should be proud. It's been 38 years since I escaped Kansas to the wonders of Montana. Dang interesting, wildly beyond expectations, no regrets BUT also a pretty lame income versus The Big City (that's my story and I'm sticking...).Pretty touch 'n go there for awhile but looks like all working out so all good; can't complain. POINT is that until just 2 years ago, WOOLSEYS became a constant throughout those years as I scrambled to keep usable tires on probably dozens of used cars throughout the years. A couple old RVs as well... and at least twice I ended up with ancient enough vehicles that the tires size was scare and/or weird yet they always were able to find something. And always a value without any compromise of essential product. They ensure any used tires are good. Same good job with the uncounted patches, nail repairs they performed. Had me hooked up and fine for an epic Alcan trip to Fairbanks years ago.Emery cares. HE may not be amused and I do cringe at the memory but sometime way back in those Dark Years, I went to Woolseys for, I think, a typical "new" used tire. Today I can't begin to imagine whatever bonehead mistake/error that made me think something was wrong hours later at a shopping center. Must've blacked out specifics but NOT my panicked call to their store, then closed for day. Found a phone book listing and got right to The Man... at dinner. He couldn't figure out my babble so left his dinner and had to drive a considerable distance just to step out, examine the tire to make sure all was okay. Really wish I could recall but KNOW it was a "Gads, I can't believe I thought that" situation. Emery expressed only relief all was good and thankfully waved off any charge I couldn't afford. THAT was service. Above and beyond, too... don't expect this twice! I still want to apologize after 20 years.So a couple months ago that's exactly where I went for my first NEW set of tires ever purchased. Excellent price, value and service again. Very pleased... even if they lasted less than 90 days before the whole car got totalled avoiding a distracted driver at Lincoln and Applegate. Walked away partly as the airborne Subaru just managed to clear the ditch's far edge, exploding both tires like auxillary airbags as axle tore off. Not their intended use but grateful as much as angry. I liked that car (and tires)! Next time... set up that appointment, yo.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

We were driving through on our way to Glacier NP from Colorado and were in desperate need of some help. Woolsey's was the second place we tried in Helena and were basically expecting to be turned away or told that we'd have to wait several hours for an appointment (like the first place). To our surprise, they saw that our need was urgent and a quick-fix and helped us right away! In less than 30 mins. we met the shop's pups, were treated with excellent service, and were on the road! Highly recommended for all, especially out-of-towners. :)Service: General repairs & maintenance

I take my car go Woolsey s twice a year to get my snow tires off/on and they are always quick and fairly priced. Also, they have great and reliable service. Would recommend!

I called on a Thursday they made my appointment for the 15th of May and obviously they don't pay attention because the shop was closed however they did call to apologize but also made it sound like I was the one who Miss understood the appointment date. They were on speaker I had witnesses we wrote it down on the paper and I transferred it to a calendar soon after returning home there was no mistake on our end. But I got an alignment tires mounted and balanced for the price they wanted for just a front end alignment by itself. So I'm actually very happy that I did not use to have them do my front end alignment.

Had to be at my daughter's wedding in about 1 hr and a half in the snow when my tire got flat do to a metal object. I called them and they had me back on the road in 45 minutes. They put the spare follow them to the shop and got me a used tire that they had. Thank you guy for the help

I have been a 100% satisfied customer at Woolsey Tire for 21 years! Their prices for tires and brakes are fair and reasonable. Most important to me is their honesty, and friendly professional service. I most recently had new new front suspension springs put in my truck. After driving around for a few months, I noticed some noise coming from the front driver side wheel. Took it in and Emory (the owner) test drove it and agreed that something wasn't right. The part was under warranty, so he ordered another one and installed it - no charge for labor on a four hour job! That commitment to the customer is what I believe sets them apart from other tire/brake shops in town. They will always have my business because they have earned it!!

Fantastic and friendly service! I was on a road trip from Canada when our car developed an alarming vibration. They were able to squeeze me in and give me an excellent diagnostic and piece of mind to continue our trip.

Best auto shop I have ever dealt with. Honest, transparent, and kind. They went out of their way to help me out and had a clear line of communication with me while my truck was in the shop. I will be returning here with any future problems I have with my vehicle.

They did an alignment on my truck. I called them with concerns with the alignment being off. They got me in right away to look into the issues. Come to find out my truck had some front end issues causing the problems. They were awesome to deal with and didnt charge me even though the issue was not their doing. Great people to deal with.

This place was awesome, I did a walk in to get my brakes done. They had me in and out in less than an hr.More importantly though, I also had my weed sitting on my armrest in my truck out in plain view and they didn't steal my weed or my change.Service: Brakes

don't know what the other guys problem was... I wouldn't take him seriously! Emery and Gary took great care of my truck. They finished their work early, and also charged about 20 dollars less than what they quoted me. They also gave me some notes on some cheap parts I could replace now before they became a bigger problem - they even gave me guidance on installing them myself. Honest, professional and timely service from Woolsey's! They are my goto mechanic for suspension and brakes.
