These guys are excellent in my experience so far! I haven't had any service work done there, but next time I need something done I'm thinking about giving them a try and seeing how it goes. I've heard good things from other people who have had work done there though. I've only gotten batteries from them before. But I have had good luck with them so far and haven't had any problems with the batteries I've gotten there like I have had with other places. And I've gotten batteries for several different things from them, most recently one for my truck.

I would NOT recommend taking your vehicle to this shop.would give zero stars if possible. I called shops in Helena for price quotes on changing the transmission fluid in my 2018 f150. I was told it would be $470 here. I dropped my truck off the evening of 01/08 as I had an appointment on Tuesday 01/09. In the late afternoon of Tuesday 01/09 they called and asked if was just doing it for maintenance or if I was having problems. I told them for maintenance and once again asked how much it would be and was told around $450. On Wednesday I got a call and was told the plastic on my transmission had cracked and they had a new one coming from Denver which should be there on Thursday and my truck should be done Thursday evening. I called Friday morning and was told my truck wouldn't be done until the following Tuesday since the pan was coming from back East and I told them you said Denver originally. I was switched over to another employee who said it he will check on it and call me back. He called me back and told me it had arrived late Thurs evening and they had to pick it up from the Ford dealership and it should be done by noon as all they had to do was put it on and add fluid. I then asked how much the total was going to be and was told $670 because I was being charged for the pan they broke. I showed up at the shop at noon and was told their pump they add fluid had fallen and broke. My wife had called them and told them I shouldn't be charged $160 for the pan they broke as it lists through Doorman for 54.49. I finally got my truck around 1:30 and the total was $650 which was suppose to include them dropping the pan down from $160 to $80. I could see the NAPA receipt for the filter kit which was $74 and I was charged $154 for. I caught them in a few lies such as where my pan was coming from and was told the pan was made out of plastic that's why it cracked when they tightened the bolts which made no sense as it would melt with a hot transmission. It was obvious the bolts were over torqued. I wish I could have taken it somewhere else and saved money and had it back in a timely manner. I will NOT be going here again

Hands down, the best battery shop in this town. The battery I needed was out everywhere else but there. Got a damn good battery at an even better price! Great business and awesome employees!!

Northwest battery is the best for taking care of my VW. They do excellent work and are reasonably priced. I wouldn't take my VW anywhere else!!!

I've had extensive work done by Northwest Battery & Automotive starting in early fall 2021 and continuing through the 2021 22 winter, and I've been very pleased with my experiences there. All of the work was on a high mileage lifted/modified Jeep Wrangler with lots of wear and tear. Work performed included replacing the engine and most other components in the engine compartment (alternator, radiator, steering pump, cam synchronizer, etc.), replacing axle shafts and servicing the differentials, installing new front and rear bumpers, installing new suspension and steering components, and some wiring/electrical work plus a healthy amount of diagnostic work to kick things off.Throughout this process, Northwest has been communicative, honest and helpful. The techs took time to talk about repairs with me, explaining what they were doing and why, and talking about different options. Vince, the service writer who is often at the front desk, is incredibly helpful with scheduling service, ordering parts and communicating with the techs in the back. Not to mention, they did quality work and brought my vehicle back to life in a big way. And the prices are reasonable.The techs also went above and beyond on multiple occasions, like offering to internally wire and mount my trailer wiring/connector inside my new bumper for a super clean look.I initially went to Northwest upon the recommendation of the owner of Montana City Towing after my starter died. I am generally pretty skeptical of auto repair shops because I have had some negative experiences with other shops doing shoddy, ineffective work or being unable to correctly diagnose problems. I've never experienced anything like that at Northwest, and I now know why so many people have recommended it to me or voiced confidence in Northwest when I told them that's where I take my vehicle.I highly recommend Northwest. Great service, got my car in and out. Very disappointed when finding out they charged me more then double on a starter and wiring. Paying more then $400. Don t plan on going back. Great place! My electric sunroof had a malfunction, which normally would be not a big deal. That day, it was a big deal...sunroof wasn't cl8sed all the way and it was snowing. They were able to get it closed in about 2 minutes. Great job, guys!

Absolutely the best electronic service in town. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to go the extra mile . They found a GPS device that was draining the battery, I didn't even know it was there.! Highly recommended!

My most sincere apologies to north west battery. I was mad because I had them fix my AC and it still didn't work. I accused them of not doing their job. I found the problem. It is just a simple wiring issue. Was not their fault. I'm the biggest jack ass ever now. I really hope that my poor decision will not regret badly on my uncle Tony Welsh. I am amazed that I was not fired. I think I should be. But anyhow, great place. I'm just a terrible person for leaving my bad review. If you saw my last review, please completely ignore it. Sorry to north west battery

I purchased a car from a privet owner. The car had quit running when they hit a speed bump, and wouldnt start again. They had another auto shop in Helena look at it, but they did'nt have the time to really dig into it.So the owner just towed it home. I bought it and had it towed to Nortwest Battery & Electric. They could'nt look at car for a week, so I left it there until they had time to get to it. Matt called me the next week to say they found blown fuses & the 15amp fuse for the Engine Control Module was missing. So they replaced the fuses, and the car ran great. I asked Matt to keep the car another day and test to see if it would die again. I said that I live 75 miles away and did'nt want it to die on the trip home. He said that they would drive it around and go over speed bumps to test it. Matt called me on Friday and said the car was ready and running great. They are closed on the weekends, and that was the only time my husband and I could pickup the car. My husband drove the car but on the way it died on him 11miles from where we live. So we towed it home. The 15amp fuse for the Engine Control Module was blown. So there is a short somewhere that is cosing it to blow. Thats why I towed it to them because they are electrical experts. But they just put a BANDAID on my problem.
