Our car was in pretty rough shape as you can see in the photos. The whole experience with Schmidt's Auto Body was excellent!! Great communication, friendly and an ease to work with. If we needed an update on the work or photos for the insurance company Ernie got back to us that day. Original manufactured parts were used which was important to us for not only the quality but for warranty as well. We were stunned by how it looked like our car hadn't even been in an accident. The work was so well done, our car looks brand new as if we just drove it off the lot!!! We highly recommend Ernie Schmidt and his crew.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! I have had two of my vehicles repaired and painted here, and each time they have been absolutely great to work with, and far exceeded my expectations on quality and service. I can t recommend this shop enough!!! I will not take any of my vehicles anywhere else. Check them out, you won t be disappointed.

I had some body work done on my Jeep this week - very pleased!! Ernie is awesome. The price was reasonable and I had my vehicle back within a day. Highly recommended!

Ernie was PHENOMENAL!! I could not sing this place more praise! (Seriously, you do not want to hear me sing!) Ernie worked with myself and my insurance company to ensure my vehicle was fixed to brand new!! And when the snow and ice hit's, yet again (remember February folks), I will always contact Ernie first!

Ernie Schmidt, the owner of Schmidt's Auto Body, is a really awesome guy who runs a shop that is incredibly professional, provides exceptional customer service, does excellent work, and charges very reasonable rates. Schmidt's Auto Body has repaired my 2013 Mini Cooper S twice. The first was some front end damage that occurred during the Mini being trailered from Pennsylvania to Montana and the second was after I had been rear-ended on 10th Avenue in Great Falls.The first repair I paid for myself and the second was covered by insurance. In each case, Schmidt's Auto Body provided very reasonable and fair estimates, kept me informed about the progress of repairs, stayed on top of the billing and paperwork, completed the work on time, and did outstanding work.Ernie's a really good guy and is honest, trustworthy and runs his business with a sense of integrity and pride. Anyone who's had to deal with auto repairs knows how difficult it can be to find a shop that does good work and more importantly, who can be trusted. Schmidt's Auto Body and Ernie certainly meet those criteria and I highly recommend them.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Ernie is awesome! Down to earth, and honest. We stopped in today for an estimate on some rust repair on my Jeep. We will definitely be going back to have the work done! Will also return for any future body work needs. Thanks Ernie!

Stopped in to have my 2017 Dodge Durango quoted for some paint work on rock chips and rocker panels done Brandon advised that it would be at least 25k to have it done..he spend about 2 min looking at my truck..I did not ask for custom paint just the same color. Be cautious of him sounds to me he feels he need a raise..

They painted my truck that is the only thing I have to have of histo remember my dad by. They did an amazing job and made my truck look brand new. The staff is fantastic. I will always bring my vehicles here if I need body work done. You can't go wrong with this shop. Estimates are right on and the staff is always professional. Thank you for making my truck look brand new and perfect. My dad would be as happy as I am.

Ernie did a great job on our vehicle repair! He is fair, honest and reliable. He worked with our insurance company on our behalf to ensure we got OEM replacement parts. He explained everything in detail and called us right back when we requested updates. Bid was half of other quotes I received. Fast, polite, and great work.Edit: Third time I have used Ernie at Schmidt s Auto Body for a deer strike and dents/dings on my wife s van. Ernie is honest and the real deal. Great prices and will not waste your time. He even gave me a ride back to work. Love this guy and his business he runs. I ll definitely be back.

Mr. Schmidt was very professional, knowledgeable & friendly. His work goes without saying, it's excellent! There is not one thing wrong with his work. You would never know it had been in a wreck. It looks brand new! He was highly recommended. Schmidt s Auto Body has done quite a few different projects for me and my brother recently. Ernie is honestly one of the nicest, most down to earth person. He is also one of the easiest guys to deal with that you ll meet. I have been more then pleased with the work he and his workers have done no matter the project. Excellent repair of damaged truck and better than new paint matching . It really is flawless . Excellent communicator, and works well with insurance companies so you don t have to. Extensive repairs and painting were completed in 7 DAYS!! Unbelievable compared to other outfits . Prices are reasonable and worth every penny. I now know where to bring my damaged vehicles.PThomas

My car looks better than before I wrecked it. They adjusted my headlights that were off and replaced my windshield wipers. No charge. Definitely the best auto body shop in GF. Super easy to work with. Great communication. Kept my insurance company at bay for me and had my back. Super satisfied. Will go again, for sure.

I got into my first car accident and called Schmidts to see if they did the collision repair I needed and Ernie said yes they do. Greeted me warmly when I called and immediately I decided to go with him. He was very quick to do all the steps for the insurance, had it towed quickly and was very quick to repair it. He went above and beyond fixing our car. It would have been done exactly on time had the parts come in on time and if there wasn't an alignment issue happen after they fixed the vehicle. (This buisnees is not tires so it was not his fault) he immediately ordered the part and fixed it. 10/10 recommend this buisness

Took my wife's car here. The owner Ernie is an awesome guy. Got her car fixed fast and for a great price. It looks flawless like nothing ever happened. I would definitely recommend everyone to go here

I stopped in to have a spoiler remounted. It was my last day visiting Great Falls when this problem came up. Schmidt's wasn't able to repair it that day due to several customers ahead of me but gave me some mounting tape to do it myself and also provided a recommendation for another place in town that may be able to perform the work that day. I ended up doing it myself later that afternoon thanks to Schmidt's providing me with the tape. The owner went out of his way to help me out even though I couldn't be a customer due to my limited stay. This certainly demonstrates his commitment and passion for his business and customer service. Should I ever need body work when visiting Great Falls again, I won't hesitate to bring my car in.

We took my Mustang to Ernie and his crew after an accident. They are amazing and the car looks spectacular. He worked with the insurance company and kept us in the loop. Parts came in damaged, they were sent back, and the car was finished in a timely manor. I'd recommend Schmidt's Auto Body!!

Took a look at my poor smashed vehicle and actually offered a range of services instead of just quoting a singular repair. Did a fantastic job and was really easy to work with. Other than an ironically difficult parking situation I had absolutely no complaints.

I have had work done by the guys at Scmidt's multiple times. They have always looked to do quality work. They combine old/new school craftsmanship to give a lasting repair. They are always the first shop I use in the area.

Took my car in with a few imperfections. Left with a great feeling. Felt like I was treated wonderfully, my car looks great. The paint match was perfect. Didn't feel like I was overcharged. While I hope to not need to use them in the future if the need arises I won't hesitate to hit them up.
