Kevin led us on a wonderful all-day adventure which was a round trip from Glacier Park Lodge, East Glacier. Kevin recounted the history of his Blackfeet people and gave us a glimpse from the past to the present day. He carefully guided us through Glacier National Park concurrently entertaining the group by sharing stories and singing songs. Kevin is knowledgeable, entertaining and very eloquent. The tour was an unforgettable experience and we very much appreciated it. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Dan, was very informative about the area having lived in the area all his life. We learned a lot about the making of Sun Road, the history of the area and the glaciers themselves. An added touch was learning a little bit about the Back feet tribe in the area. I am not a big fan of cliff driving but I felt very comfortable with his driving. The sights were so worth it! Thanks so much for an amazing experience!

Our tour guide and driver was none other than Jack Gladstone, a local celebrity entertainer and proud member of the Blackfeet nation. He shared many personal stories of both his deep connection to the lands we toured as well as his life experiences as a pro football player and other connections to the whole of America, he gave us a perspective few others could offer. He also shared traditional and contemporary songs as an accomplished singer song writer in his own right. He also arranged for us to hear songs from another of the sun tour drivers Kevin Kicking Woman who clearly has extensive knowledge of traditional Blackfeet culture. I will never forget the lessons I learned spending a day in this beautiful place with such an impressive man.

Oh my goodness our guide and driver, L the 4th aka Willy was so knowledgeable and kind. I was blessed to be able to buy tickets to the tour just 3 days before we set off on the 8th. My friend and I had such a good time and Willy's patience with the gentleman who seemed to be running behind getting back on at most stops was just what we all needed. Thank you for such a great day and for sharing a portion of you heritage with us and calling us your family. I found a spotted dog shape in one of my pictures and feel blessed to have seen that, knowing that they are your peoples spirit animals it just makes me appreciate all the beauty that we shared together. The bus was air-conditioned and so comfortable the windows allowed for some super great pictures.

Hubby and I both highly recommend taking a Sun Tour of Glacier NP. Our guide, Jack Gladstone, an enrolled Blackfeet Tribal Citizen, kept our group enthralled with his stories of both legend and history, along with his ballad-like songs. What a wonderful afternoon!

Great tour with a cultural flavor. The Going To The Sun Road was buried in clouds but out guide/driver handled it well. Far better to do the tour rather than driving it yourself and trying to find parking.

Really enjoyed this tour. So much easier to observe the beautiful scenery when you are not driving. Tour guide Lester made it informative and fun. Learning about Blackfeet culture was a bonus.

We booked east and west tours of the Going to the Sun Road with Sun Tours in July 2022. Our drivers/guides were native Blackfeet tribal members and provided a wealth of information and honest straight forward history that had been passed down through their own families. No script. Just good stories and solid info. Special shout out to our guide Rowland Thunder Rain. He is an old soul and his calm outlook on life in the Glacier park area from the perspective of a Blackfeet native made us appreciate the history and landscape more than we could have hoped for. What a wonderful man. The owner of Sun Tours is a native Blackfeet tribal member as well and has battled the federal government monopoly on park tours since the 1990 s to exercise his right as a Native American and a United States Citizen to do business within the giant bureaucracy that the National Park system has become. Hats off to Ed at Sun Tours and his awesome crew! Support local business and book with them, not the park service. You won t be sorry.

We participated in a half day tour out of East Glacier. It was wonderful! Our guide Roland was educational and funny without feeling like he was "performing" the entire time. If you're looking to travel Going to the Sun Road and learn about the history of the park, the Blackfeet tribe, and the different mountains around you then I highly recommend Sun Tours! We really enjoyed our time on the tour!

My fianc and I had the best day of our weeklong vacation with Lester (the 4th) at Sun Tours. Lester was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and fun. He told us fascinating stories of Glacier National Park and the Blackfeet people. We left feeling in-awe of the beautiful sights as well as educated. Best of all, Lester gave us great recommendations that guided the rest of our time at the park. If you re considering seeing Glacier via Sun Tours, I can t recommend it enough. Thanks again, Lester!

Jack, Our tour guide and driver, was very pleasant and informative during our tour! He was able to get the guests involved in the language and was able to answer any questions we had. Would recommend this tour instead of driving individually! Thank you Jack!

We took a tour on Monday July 31st 2023 with Roland and we greatly appreciated our experience. Roland had great insights and stories about the Blackfeet people and the history of the land. The informations given were fun, interesting and educative. We recommend the tour to anyone who wants to go a little deeper in their Glacier National Park experience.

This tour is an absolutely amazing idea for anyone looking to see great views and learn about the past. Our tour guide was a native of the land. He shared his own personal experiences and showed us some of the best spots around the park. Truly amazing, I definitely recommend this to everyone.

What a fantastic tour! We tried to get passes into Going to the Sun Road at Glacier National Park and it was impossible. However....so glad!! The tour was soooooo much better. Had we not gone on it, we would have not known what we were looking at. Our guide Merlin was a member of the Blackfeet tribe. I was so very interesting learn about the history of the people whose land this actually belong to. Merlin was fantastic and so smart. I highly recommend this! The only mistake I did was not doing the full day tour....next time!

The full day tour would have been perfect if not for the rain. Our guide Dan kept it very interesting. His sense of humor made us forget about the rain and fog. I would recommend it!

Such nice, tour guides! This was a wonderful experience, an excellent way to get to know the park for newbies! After our tour, I felt much more prepared and confident about going into the park on my own, with ideas of where I wanted to explore deeper.

This experience was organized, well managed and more than I could have imagined. In the beginning of the tour, our guide said that we would learn some history that would hurt our ears, that the books have told stories leaving out the Native perspective, and history has not been kind. This uncensored history was exactly what my group wanted to learn. Our guide was a gifted singer and shared Blackfeet songs he was gifted. He was able to answer questions, and give guidance for people wanting to learn more. If you're looking for a 101 lesson in the history of the Blackfeet this is the right experience to attend.

Tour guides and supervisedo not seem to understandthe law pertaining to guide dogs for the blind/service dog as lay out in the Americans with disabilities act. Just be cautious,I was unable to complete the tour do to a altercation that occurred with the guide/driver. I had notified the Co. at the time of booking that would be traveling with a guide dog.

Did 1/2 day tour; bus already had 13 people on it when 8 of us got picked up at St Mary visitor center. We were told to be there 30 minutes early, bus didn't get there till after 930 then had to wait for the 13 to use bathrooms and shop. Didn't leave on tour till 30 minutes later. Bus was comfortable glad had air conditioning. Enjoyed guide Dan was very knowledgeable of all things Glacier. We were never rushed and he made several unscheduled stops so we could get animal shots from bus windows.

We did a half day tour on June 4th. We were concerned that the GTTS road was mostly closed. But they said the tour would go on.We drove the 6 or so miles and the views were stunning. The rain had mostly broken and we had mixed skies. When the sun shone on the mountain tops, Wow. Yes this could have been done on our own BUT, we wouldn t have had Jack Gladstone with us! What an incredible knowledgeable and talented man! He performed several of his original songs , and the combination of his music AND the majesty of the views were quite unique and very special. We drove up to see buffalo near the Canadian border, and he sang Buffalo Cafe very cool.In addition to the music, his knowledge of the area was amazing. It is a if he had a degree in history and geography. We particularly enjoyed his sharing of the Blackfeet history and culture even including personal and family stories. This is why we booked with Sun Tours. As it is Blackfeet owned and run. . We were not at all disappointed in that department. In addition to his extensive knowledge and talent, I would have to say that parts of the day were a spiritual experience for us. And as icing on the cake, his professional background is communication and speech! And it really showed. What a bundle of talent and ability. Thanks, Jack and Sun Tours.

We were very disappointed with our tour and based on our experience can't recommend them. They advertise themselves as "Blackfeet Interpretive Tours", but ours wasn't. Our guide was woefully unprepared, knew very little about the history of the Blackfeet people and even less about Glacier Park. Instead of providing tour information, our guide filled our day with personal experiences. If not for the awesomeness of Glacier, the day would have been a total loss.We also booked a similar tour with Red Bus Tours and the difference was night and day. Our Red Bus guide knew the history of the Blackfeet people and both historical and geological information about Glacier Park. If you have a choice, go with Red Bus.

Great tour with a local resident and member of Blackfoot Native American tribe. She gave us a lot of info about the local tribe as well, and took us to a tribal bison reserve where we got to see large herd of bison up close. It was only 15 minutes out of the way and a mile or so from the Canadian border. Saw all the great overlooks that were open and it was a beautiful day. Only slight negative is that lunch was kind of long and we were funneled into a restaurant at a lodge; had we been more informed we would have packed a lunch to eat along the river adjacent to the lodge. Still, it was a special tour because it added in rich local history.

Great cultural tour. Kevin told stories, sang songs, and explained some of the Blackfeet culture and their ties to the land. Lots of scenic stops with a couple of short hikes.

Did the full day tour and loved it!A great introduction to Glacier National Park. Our guide was informative, great story telling and appropriate humor. She did a fine job of telling both the park and the Blackfeet history, which are inseparable.
