Neat and clean train station. It s pretty small but there s a rest room. Good view of Glacier Lodge and a lot of history about how train built Glacier National park.

I really loved the station, it s very clean, the stuff very friendly and helpful, and the view is gorgeous. I took the overnight train to Seattle. Totally recommended. While I waited for the train, I drove to the East Glacier Park

Neat train station in a gorgeous place! The train itself is often several hours late. Be sure to check the online live train tracker website before you go.

Though not as grand than the West entrance, but the open space around does make the place look more kind of offering an interesting alternative good place to enter the park. I definitely love going through here!

The station master was kind and helpful. The building has some historical facts located on the inside and the bathrooms were very clean.

Gorgeous and informative train station. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen (cleaner than E.G.Lodge!). Great historical/local displays. Train is a great way to arrive/depart this part of the world!

It's location is in a beautiful part of Montana so the drive was relaxing and amtrak perfected their business as long as I've utilized it. The staff namely the cooks make my rides pleasant. Nothing like eating what I want. America thanks you'll for the long periods of time you dedicate making our trips easier. And a special shout out goes to the Chinese . Lol

Mile marker 188.2 has a beautiful waterfall that is not marked, there is a pull off and it is best seen by getting out of your car and walking just past the tree line.Mile marker 182.6 has an opportunity to see big horn sheep and mountain goats. There is also a great waterfall, "Trickle Falls". If you can go during June - July the waters were no "Trickle". Easy hike, do yourself a favor and wear your bathing suit. The water may be cold but don't miss the opportunity. The Two Medicine Lake was also beautiful.

It's a railroad terminal for Amtrak. Nothing extraordinarily special, but the scenery outside is a 10/10

I was riding the Empire Builder between Wolf Point Montana, and Sandpoint, Idaho. It truly was the only affordable, easy way for me to visit home and my amazing family. Looking back at the ride, as a coach passenger, weighing the negative and positive aspects, I'd do it again. Outbound segment 11:40ish{am}- 1150ish{pm} was most challenging. Not only did I have absolutely no idea what to expect, I also wasn't prepared. Snack bar only accepted CC, I had cash. Do pack essentials: pillow, blanket, enough snacks, drinks etc. Also there were segments without celluar service, - download ample movies, games for self-entertainment. Bottom line, I'd travel by Amtrak again, The crew members were great, good listener's even as I complained & acted needy. Minimum travel delays were made up and I arrived home rested and refreshed{opposed a 12hr drive}. also way less expensive than flying. MY return ride began post Midnight, I got better sleep, as did many other riders.Amtrak travels daily!!! Thanks for the experience!!!

Nice little station. We did an overnight at Glacier on our way to Spokane from Chicago. It's an easy walk from the station to the lodge. It's close to town and there are some cute shops there.

We left Minot,North Dakota at 9:35am and arrived to East Glacier Amtrak station 7:10pm. It was a great ride. We did not feel the ride at all. The seats are pretty comfortable and large. I really do not think you need to rent a sleeper car if you are planning to spend a night at the train. The sleepers car are not so big either. The 2 bunk beds with a tiny closet. Everything enclousure. The tiny room was the size of the beds. Anyway you get the view from the observation place at the train. Enough space to sit and eat around. We traveled from Minot and we could use 2 seats per person because there was a lot of empty ones. However it was not necessary we were very comfortable in our seats. We really enjoyed our 10 hours ride and we saved ourself of the driving. We definitely will do it again. Also we took a little cooler with us so we did not need to buy any food from them. The dinning at the train is kind of difficult. They first serve to the people of the bunkers and then at the end to the people of the coach. They put you in a waiting list so at the end we left the train before our turn so be prepared and take a cooler with you. Glad I read this from other review and did it. Also bring a small pillow. They have electric plugs next to you. We sat at the 2nd floor with the view. The bathrooms are downstairs. If you have difficult walking you better stay at the 1st floor. We traveled 4 adults.

Not really a train station anymore. No agent on duty. It is currently the Glacier Park Conservancy, basically an information booth/gift shop that raises money for ecological projects. Good cause. The train does pick up and drop off, westbound in the evenings, east bound in the mornings.

The train stops there and you can get right on. If you are already on the train you can get off there. Nice friendly and helpful staff there when the train comes and goes. I liked the informational displays of the early days at East Glacier Lodge.

Ride the empire Builder, and walk over to the Glacier Park Lodge.Pricey, but it's the retro angle that is going on. Nice, original train stationoriginally built by the Great Northern RR, back when cars were few.Now served by Amtrak. Lodge built for the tourists, back when there was no "motels." Luxury of a by-gone age.

What a beautiful place. Great employee. Wanda is so knowledgeable and helpful. It's rustic and the town is great. I ate at Two Medicine. Good food too!

Unfortunately most of the Amtrak stations are in bad shape and need repair.....no need to hang around those places.
