The tent was nice and clean and comfortable. My wife dog and I enjoyed it. The check in process is a little hectic had to track down the employees, but wasn't bad. Bathroom situation could use some work, but they told me they were working on it.Tips: improve the bathroom. Lower the price just a bit. (a little overpriced for what you get. But we did enjoy the night we spent there.

Everything was great we just wish there wasn t construction when we came but was that was understandable. Our camp ground didn t have much room to set up a grill and was hard to get my car up. Only two complaints I have! Bed and blankets were super cozy, bathrooms were great. We were also very close to Glacier. Look forward to returning!Rooms: Cozy, clean, well prepared.

I'm not one to do negative reviews, but this place, and the yurt we got #6, was a joke! That yurt spot has no parking, so you haul your stuff up from the parking area, in an inch or 2 of thick dust from all the cars turning around. The tent (Beg. of Aug) was located right next to a dug up septic tank, makes for a great view! When we got in the yurt, we instantly stepped in several deep holes, and the ground was not even level for the two twin beds. We get unpacked to find that one of the beds, the bedding, was not changed from the previous guest. Very obvious "stains" on the pillows, and dirt on the sheet. As the evening progressed we could hear every single thing people said or did around us, because the yurts are ON TOP OF EACH OTHER!!!! Want to hear your neighbor unwrap food all evening and chew and eat, in a yurt that you should not have any food in!! LOL, or if you like hearing every snore and breath they take at night, then go this Wander Camp!!!I feel like spot #6 was an after thought, and the spot was not properly leveled or cleared. It's like someone said lets put one more in to get a little extra money!!We did call the camp host, and we were offered help with our bags, but that was extent of the help offered. For the money you will pay to stay at this Wander Camp, I would try to find of accommodations that give your more chance to experience nature without close neighbors!

My husband and I LOVED staying here! The beds were super comfortable, we both slept through the whole night, every night! The tents were also very spacious. The tents are tucked away into the trees, and there's quite a bit of space between the tents which offers some privacy between guests. The bathrooms were clean, with pull chain showers and hot water! I saw some bad reviews about the mud in the parking lot, but they have fixed that issue and filled it with gravel. The road on the way to the campsite is narrow and a bit rough, but our little FWD Scion TC handled it just fine! It's also about a 10 minute drive from the West Glacier entrance which is perfect to get there in the early morning before the crowds come in! They are also pet friendly so expect to find some pet hair that might of been missed while cleaning between guests (we did not have that issue, but supposedly others did in these reviews). This is not a luxury campsite, if you aren't comfortable with bugs, mud, and offgrid style camping, you arent going to enjoy this. However, if that sounds like something you'll enjoy, absolutely book with them! We had a wonderful time and would 100% book with them again!!

Awesome place to stay and the beds were so comfortable! Also, love they are dog friendly, let's be responsible for our pups so they keep it that way. So close to the west entrance and there were places nearby to grab a bite to eat and drink. They were also very accommodating and allowed me to stay an extra night. This is off grid which they describe very well in the description of the place so if you enjoy tent camping this will be "up scale" for what you are used to. Will definitely be back!

Definitely rustic, but thats what we wanted....the tent and bed were very comfy...even though we could see other tents, it was peaceful and felt like we were off the grid....the long driveway was a bit challenging, but only slowed us down a bit...and it was vacation, so a slower pace wasn't a bad thing....Nearby activities: Easy drive to glacier nat'l park and hungry horse dam

I want to like this Wander Camp location very much, but there were so many caveats like how bumpy and crazy it was to get up to the camp, which was essentially on a cliff bordering Glacier National Park s West Entrance and the small town of Coram. Firstly, get yourself a Jeep or at the very least a decently tall SUV to get up here. Parking was limited, especially if most of the tents were occupied, which was the case during my one night here, so be VERY careful when you pull in and/or back out. Secondly, the campground itself, much like many recent reviews have stated, is under heavy construction, though minimal noises were heard and only before sundown. Thirdly, I m so surprised no one else has mentioned this, but there is literally a train track somewhere below the cliff where this camp is situated and holy cow, the train s horns blaring in the middle of the night (at least three times) definitely took some years off my life. I ve gone camping before, but it is relatively peaceful if not completely silent save for the natural hums and chirps of Mother Nature s fauna. Lastly, the tent itself was on VERY bumpy ground, prepare to sprain ankles unless you re wearing some ankle braces or high, protective hiking boots. For all the construction that is going on here, I m surprised the owner of this site didn t think to level the ground better before pitching tents up all over this plateau cliff. The one huge plus is the bed and blankets are actually very warm and insulating. But there was a lot of pet hair to be found on and in between the cushy pillows and large comforters and bedsheets. The bathrooms were better than expected, though I skipped on the shower, it seemed like it is at least shielded from the elements and rather insulated. The bathrooms were also equipped with ample hand soap and toilet paper. Water ran spring water cold, so hopefully it was actually from a spring.

Loved it! The tents were adorable and the bathrooms were nice (I didn't try the showers). I never met the camp hosts in person and didn't know where they were, which was kinda annoying, but I had their number and they were prompt to reply always. Only real complaint is that there wasn't a water spigot, so bring disposable paper and plastic ware because you won't be able to wash dishes. Also bring bottled water because the bathroom sinks are too tiny to fill your water bottle from.Overall though, I really liked it. They were doing some construction while we were there, and I'm excited to return in the next year or two to see what they've done with the place. Also, the beds and bedding were super comfy.

Absolutely hated it here. I expected clean tents and clean bathrooms. The tent had dirt and wood chippings all over the floor and especially on the decorative mat they had in the tent. Don't try to walk bare foot inside the tent, because so much loose pet hair will stick to the bottoms of your feet and get in your bed. The beds themselves were gross because it had tons of loose hair in it. All different colors and lengths. And the bathrooms on site, would stop running water at random times, with no warning from camp staff that the water was getting shut off. Also the bathrooms were some what dirty and it was kind of gross. Mostly just the floors and showers. One of the worst parts about the camp is that the road into the camp, was very narrow. Pulling off to the side of the road to let cars pass, is almost impossible. Especially at some portions of the road. At one point, a semi-truck came down that narrow road and started honking, letting us now that he was coming down the dirt road. We tried to move over the most we could, but the road is next to a steep edge, and the other side of the road is up against a hill. Luckily we were able to move out of the way enough that the semi was just barely able to get by.My partner and I hated this place so much, we ended up just leaving after 2 nights.I will say though, Ashley was our camp host and she was super kind. Always would wave to us and say hi. She even gave us recommendations for where to eat in town.

This place was absolutely disgusting. When we arrived there was no camp host there to tell us where to go. We received an email as we pulled in saying what tent we were in and that they would give us 10% off due to construction. The entire place was a construction site lol. Our tent was on a steep hill and when we walked in the entire place was covered with dirt and bugs. The sheets clearly had not been washed with tons of hair (of varying color, sizes, etc.), trash, and giant stains. There was also a massive puddle of water under the bed. We immediately left, couldn't find anyone there to talk to about the situation and had to last minute book a hotel to stay in. Save your money and camp (way more sanitary) or pay the extra for a hotel, this place is disgusting.

This review is 5 stars because of Andrew.Let me start by saying that on the website, the photos do not match, but on Google they do. I understand that many people are upset about the photos and the pull-chain showers, and I get it. But this is camping. This isn t some luxury hotel- this is the woods. It s paths and picnic tables and tall grass and trees so get over it.With that said- we WERE a touch underwhelmed, but we arrived while they were doing construction and landscaping and trying to set the entire site up and make it look amazing and who was doing that? Andrew. He was our host and from the moment we arrived he greeted us with a huge smile and showed us Huckleberries to pick and was charming and helpful. Need to charge our phones? He s got a solution. Want to make a fire? He points the way. To top it off, we were unable to get a cab service or Uber to the Amtrak station (there are not many around for less than $100) and Andrew WOKE UP EARLY AT 7AM AND PERSONALLY DROVE US TO THE STATION IN HIS OWN CAR. He saved our butts.I m sure the other staff (who we didn t meet) is lovely, but Andrew was working from sun up to sun down on projects making Wander Camp Glacier a beautiful place I guess my suggestion is to wait until their construction/renovation is completed s 100% if u want that perfect experience, but that shouldn t stop u.*also the bed. The bed we slept on was the single BEST MATTRESS EVER. Comfortable, large and clean. *Highly recommend.

I had such a wonderful experience with Wander Camp. Being in Montana in a comfortable tent feeling perfectly safe and comfortable was absolutely amazing.Safety: You re close to other tents but within a private spaceNoteworthy details: The beds are super comfortable and we had enough blankets to deal with late night colds

Had Wander Camp Glacier booked for MONTHS before our trip to Under the Big Sky Music Festival. A week before we were supposed to leave we received a text that they canceled our reservation due to construction. I feel like construction is something that is announced months before it actually occurs. Thank goodness we were able to find an Airbnb on such short notice. From the looks of the reviews, it seems like we dodged a bullet.

They sent me a text 3 days before our booking saying there was last minute county improvements that they had no control over and had to cancel our reservation. We were lucky to find a last minute air bnb. We went by the camp and nothing was happening: no construction, nothing was set up; it seems like they were booking people when they weren t anywhere near operational. I felt lied to and misled and it seems there are some fraudulent actions on their part. They offered a refund (thankfully) and a discount for a future booking. I won t book with them again.

BEFORE YOU BOOK:I hope you all are reading the poor reviews that way you can be prepared for your accommodations.I m very disheartened that we drove from Florida expecting a fun relaxing glamping experience only to have been mislead. In short:The road conditions are moderate to poorParking is VERY limited and difficult.Porta potty/shower trailer is subparThere is no where to cookThere is no where to throw away trashThere IS NO DRINKING WATERPotential hazardsOverall, be prepared to pay around $150 a night to live more inconveniently and in many ways more primitively than at basic state park campground. We didn t know how limited the amenities would be so we were ill prepared. We were truly expecting a glamping site that offered pseudo outdoor camping with hassle free amenities. This place has so much potential but with the lack of transparency on what this place does not offer and the safety concerns of the property, I don t believe I can trust this company enough to try to book with them in the future. In detail:The road to access your tent is only wide enough for one vehicle and it is lined with thorny brush, trees, fallen limbs, and some rocks. Turning around or encountering someone going the opposite direction is a nightmare. There isn t enough space for parking in front of each camp site and over flow parking is limited and can be far away depending on your site. There is definitely not enough parking for this place at full capacity. There are appear to be around 20 camp site which all share a 2 toilet only bathrooms, and 3 toilet and shower bathrooms. One of the showers is currently broken so we are sharing 2 showers with the whole camp. Needless to say it s an inconvenient wait. The porta potty toilets are standard but the shower requires you to continuously pull a short overhead chain to keep the water running (probably not possible if you have and should injury preventing an over head reach). The bathroom floors get wet and dirty and the small toilet seat is the only place to set down your things. This in combination with low water pressure and low water heat leads you to seriously debate whether a shower is actually worth it even after a long sweaty day.Although the website advertised running water, it does not specify that it IS NOT drinking water, it s the porta potty shower and sink water. There isn t enough space around the tents to set up a cooking area. There is a community picnic area that offers tables and a fire pit. There are no grills and the tables are just far enough away from parking that it makes toting portable propane cooking set up, a hassle. If you do manage to cook, there is no where to do dishes or clean up. When we asked the host about rinsing a cooler, we were directed to the porta potty showers. It s near impossible to pull the overhead chain and clean dish ware. We ve tried. We it was so frustrating that we debated throwing the dishes out can calling it a loss but there are also no trash cans or Anywhere to dispose of garbage so you have to pack it back up in your car to haul off. Even using disposable ware and eating no cook foods is inconvenient.Lastly, there is active construction with raw supplies laying about very close to the common areas. None of them are closed off or marked making it hazardous especially to children and walking in the dark.

Came to the wander camp with my family to stay for a night. To start of there is no sign on the main road and scince your GPS is out of service you just hope youre heading the right way. when we got there the place was a complete ghost town. Nobody was there. You could probably stay at the wander camp without the owners knowing because there is litterally nobody there. There were over 20 camp sites with no joke 3 parking spots. You will hear everything through your tent. There is no place to cook food. the tents are on ground that is uneven which made my bed tilt making it miserable to fall asleep as I was hanging onto the bed trying not to fall off. There is a promised lake view in their description... There is no lake view. The bathroom was covered in mud after 1 day. The showers are not usable. From one second to the next the shower water was scorching hot to freezing. On and off freezing and unbearbly hot water will alternate. Our sheets weren't clean as well as getting one of the worst nights sleep I've ever had. Just bite the bullet. Stay in an air bnb or a hotel.

Read all previous reviews, and decide which type of person you are. If you are surprised that mud, dirt, bugs, and other things exist when out in nature, maybe this isn't for you. It's not a hotel. If you're mildly attracted to the actual outdoors, definitely a wonderful spot. Andrew (our camp host) is so friendly and helpful, and he works VERY hard with the rest of the crew to make this place inviting and fun. I came prepared with a 5 gallon water jug, backpack (not rolling luggage), and legs that can walk slightly uphill to the tent, and it was great. If you have trouble moving around or physical limitations, be wary when you book, as the tents are not all close to the parking lot. The restroom facilities are very similar to a camper/RV bathroom, so again, if you don't like/are not familiar with that experience, then either deal with it or stay somewhere else. Loved our stay! It was average 50 degrees (Farenheit) at night, and the beds were so warm and comfy that no rented heater or extra blankets were required. I didn't use my backup sleeping bag at all. Loved it!

I came into Montana just the start of August and spent the rest of the season in Glacier area. It was nice to meet fellow travelers who had been spending their time and enjoying their summer too. The overall experience of Montana in the summertime was great! The park is incredible and so close with many trails to adventure and explore in. And the sunset view from camp alone really make the memories at the end of the day. They have great sites, fire pits, comfortable beds and the pleasant environment to enjoy Nature whether you're traveling alone or with friends and family. Easily spend a week there to unplug!

This place is ideal for anyone looking for a comfortable camping experience that's different from the norm. The location is right outside the park so it's easily accessible if you have a car - if I recall correctly it was 12 minutes to the entrance. The tents are tucked away in the trees allowing for a get-away experience. Just keep in mind, you are still camping in the elements! They have a cooking area with games to entertain kids while you cook up some camp food. What makes this place though is the staff! Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, resolution oriented, and had an enthusiasm for life.

The location is the best! Very close to the park entrance nestled in the forest with amazing views. The host was very helpful and gave us some tips to make our days in the park more enjoyable. The beds are comfortable and the tents are roomy. The campfire in the evening was a perfect way to end our day. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great stay!

Stayed here in August and was completely underwhelmed. The tent was nothing like the pictures. Photos on their website are lifted from their other locations. Water and bathrooms were out of service at several points during our three day visit. The tent is just plopped on the hillside with no platform so the beds aren t level enough to sleep. We had to haul out all our trash and there is no where to sit outside your tent to hang out.But the real kicker is when we mentioned these issues in online reviews the owner contacted us to take the reviews down. In exchange, they said they would refund our visit to keep their cool influencer vibe going. They never gave a refund and won t respond to us. You are better of spending $200-300 per night on a hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
