We absolutely loved staying here! We booked the Whitewater cabin, and it was wonderful for our family of three. It felt very private, even with other people staying in the cabin next door. The view is simply breathtaking, and having coffee on the porch was such a peaceful way to start the day. Our son loved exploring the river bank. The beds were comfortable, they were fully stocked on amenities (we wouldn't have had to buy coffee if we'd checked the cabinets first). And it was only a half hour from Billings, so it was very convenient. For only a little more than a hotel in Laurel would have cost, it was well worth it. We will definitely look to stay here next time we are in the area.

I only stayed here a night on my cross country drive but wish I could've stayed here longer. It was so peaceful and relaxing! I stayed in one of the Riverside Guestrooms. It was extremely spacious and I loved the windows on the backside looking out into the meadow.Even though the guestrooms are all in cabin, the way the porches are set up make you feel like you're alone. You can hear the rushing river as you sit on the porch and enjoy the wildlife around you.On top of that, the owners were extremely friendly when I checked in. If I head this way again, I will most certainly plan a stop. I'd love to try out the other cabins!

Absolutely stunning grounds and warm and loving couple. I thank God for affording me the ability to embrace and love all that He has put upon this earth. We valued the tour and more than anything we valued you! To see such astonishing detail put into your properties and to know YOU built it all by hand is truly an inspiration. You both allowed this Country Girl born in the City to see just how at peace my heart would be. Thank you so much Jan and Dan! We will be back!

We had the best experience staying at Yellowstone River Lodge. We stayed in one of the Riverside Guest Rooms and it was everything the website said it would be and more! Right off the Yellowstone River, the sunset was stunning and the sunrise just as beautiful!Dan and Jan are gracious hosts and very welcoming! We have booked our return stay on our way back from WA.

This place was a pleasant surprise. My cabin was part of a 4 unit building and was only a short 80 yards from the Yellowstone River. While the exterior was average looking, the interior was a very pleasant surprise. It was well decorated and the bath shower was the most unique one I've ever seen. Pics are attached as part of this review. Check-in was different as you had to ring the doorbell in the owners house and wait for them to answer the door.

Beautiful location and good hosts. The cabin we were assigned was well-maintained, roomy and beautiful. The river is a few footsteps away. Love that the hosts left us alone to explore the property on our own but I wish there was more information given to us about where to find the trails they advertised as accessible from property. We couldn t find them. Also there is no hot tub.Beautiful space, beautiful place. Will return.Clean, modern, spacious and beautiful rooms in a natural and lovely property

What a hidden gem! We had a blast and the cabin was amazing. Couldn't have asked for better during our stay in Montana. The owners are super sweet and definitely make sure that you feel at home and have everything you need. The views from the cabin are breathtaking. The walk to the river is a very short walk and we loved seeing all the wildlife! Such a peaceful and quiet location. We can't wait to return!

Was going to stay in Billing and as soon as we got to town we quickly realized it was not where we wanted to stsy. Thankfully this place had one more opening left in their 4 room cabin. Each room had its own little brick patio with chairs and tables. The view was amazing and was able to get down by the river and listen to the waves all night. The room was really nice and the bed was comfy. The shower in Room B was really cool as well. So glad to have stayed here. The owners were super nice as well.

This was our second stay here and the location is absolutely beautiful. Check in with the owners then off to your creek side cabin. And when they say creek side they aren t kidding. You can see the creek from the front door of your charming room, which includes a writing desk, sitting chair, lounging chair, microwave, stone shower, etc. windows galore add to the beauty of this place. While venturing into the wilderness, you can use their row boat, bbq, games, or go for a swim off the beach. This is my happy place!!!

I can't praise this lodge enough. Our stay there was one of our best nights in Montana. The owner was in construction before building and opening his lodge and cabins and it shows. We stayed in the lodge because the cabins were already booked, but our room was very tastefully decorated, had incredible views out of floor to ceiling windows in the back and while not huge was very well designed. We had drinks first out on our little porch and then took everything down to the river where they had four groups of tables and chairs. The lodge is only four rooms and was very quiet when we were there. I would highly recommend this lodge if you want to experience the beautiful scenery in a high quality room.

We had a great stay at Yellowstone River Lodge. The setting is really spectacular and the Whitewater cabin is nicer than the pictures show. Dan and Jan are delightful and do a great job of getting you in and comfortable. Since it is very near the river you have to remember to keep the sliding door closed in the evening as it doesn't have a screen like the windows do and there are flying insects. The Satin sheets were a wonderful surprise although I think they may have been laundered with a scented detergent which wasn't great for me but overall they obviously really care about the service they provide and it was a very nice stay.

This was a very quaint and charming tiny house. And I do mean tiny. There were a few minor details that made the stay a bit unpleasant, the water pressure being very low (basically non existent) and the insistence of the owner that we have a bonfire when we did not want one. He chose to burn the pile of sticks for us on his behalf whilst we were in town. This made it feel as if the owners intruded on our privacy, since we rented the tiny house and they came onto it without telling us. Not very professional. We were told repeatedly that we were the first guests of the season, and therefore they were unprepared for our arrival. This explained the owner still trying to repair the water issue when we arrived at 5pm. I wasn t sure what to think of this as we scheduled our trip in advance and at the prices they charge, a night was $185 and we stayed the weekend, you would think that they would have been more than prepared. The area is gorgeous and I loved the view. But I can go without the overpriced tiny house experience again.

The most amazing cabin EVER! I enjoyed sitting down by the river listening to the rapids. I will definitely stay here again on my way back to Texas. Thank you Dan and Jan for the awesome experience and accommodations.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Right on the river and the hosts are very helpful and friendly. We wished we had stayed more nights! There are different types of rooms, including cabins to rent and single rooms in more of a hotel style. We stayed in a room that was more hotel style and it was lovely. Next time we're going to check out the cabins for a longer stay!

In case you are thinking of booking here -- think twice. I booked a room via Expedia and arrived @ 7PM after a long day's drive to find nobody to greet me. I phoned the hosts only to be told that they would not honor the booking -- not enough time was given them or some nonsense. Maybe the dog ate my reservation? I should emphasize that this was a verified Expedia reservation. My pleading for a room fell on deaf ears and I was left to consider sleeping in my car.So any reservation you make here should be taken with a grain of salt -- it depends entirely on the whims of the feckless owners. In retrospect, the glowing reviews here and on Expedia may have been engineered.

Tried to stay here recently and was sorely disappointed. There had been floods in the area but I was contacted the day before our trip via email saying that they were looking forward to my stay. I responded back in case it was an automated email to make sure that they were still open for business and receive no response. My son and I drove hours to stay there only to roll up and find out the entire place was closed. Worse than that they had no record of our appointment and the woman was actually a surly about it as if it was my fault they didn t keep accurate records. I get acts of nature and such being an issue but not contacting your guests nor even knowing that they re supposed to show up would ve gotten them a one star review regardless of other issue. I try to be understanding about this but when someone tries to make me feel bad because they can t run their business that just tells me everything I need to know about them.

Don't let the drive and gravel road deter you. Hidden gem for sure. Great location near river. We stayed in one of the rooms. Very well appointed. Much better than your typical hotel room. Would definitely stay again. Wish we could have stayed several nights.

Dan and Jan are great people and extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great visit. The cabins are very unique, modern, creative and cozy! They have all the niceties of home while being just off of the Yellowstone River.

Booking this hotel, I was most excited for because of the reviews and the pictures showen, VERY disappointed. The rooms were poorly put together. To be able to see the tv from the bed 2 adults had to sleep on the top bunk of the bed. The mattress was VERY uncomfortable, my boyfriend and I both woke up with sore backs. Never will I come back.

After a grueling few days from Texas to Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, we were delighted to find rest and friendship at this B&B getaway. Jan and Dan were very gracious and the breakfast was GREAT!

Was ok place to stay. Rooms were small. No modern Amenities in the rooms. Beautiful views of the mountains. Price was a little high for the room.
