I feel like people are being quite unfair about a small town motel - yes, it is a bit dated and there are cracks here and there in the sinks and showers, but the rooms are clean, the heat and AC work well, and the sheets and towels are clearly washed and replaced after each guest. It's absolutely worth the price tag (we spent $68 before tax). Customer service is great as well. We really enjoyed staying in this small motel and absolutely will in the future if we find ourselves in Columbus again.

The 1 star is because there is an awesome restaurant next door!Stay away!Sprayed cologne because itsmelled of urine, stains on the chair, table was nasty sticky from food? Tub looked like they never cleaned it with a piece of soap and hair in the drain, the room was hot cause the AC is in the bathroom! Was scared to check the bed but the sheets looked like they were changed at least.We're a hotshot driver and out of hours to drive any further so we had to stay.

Clean rooms & fantastic folks who run the place. Microwave & fridge in rooms - no hair dryer or coffee maker but there's free java at the office. Room 1 is a two bedroom suite & comfy. Train goes by often but the a/c muffled the sound - if noise keeps you awake though this may not work for you. Highly recommend - great for families needing a safe bath & bed!

Was so blessed to find this laundromat at the gas station convenience store by Git's Big Sky Motel! We were staying at the campground and came in to do laundry before leaving town. It was clean and pleasant with supplies and change available at the convenience store. Had no trouble with any machines and felt safe and welcome.

Its getting a bit ridiculous that the Latino folk here can keep the rest of patrons disturbing or peice and making to where we have to call the police to have the music turned down not our job, approx 8 times one latino feels that everyone in the area wants to hear his Latino music with the bass sound all day and night. See what what happens today, if you want peice of mind and quite place to stay this not for you. Will be looking for respectful place to stay soon. What is happening with mutual respect and common curiosity, in this country.

It's a small old fashioned motel BUT staff super nice,privacy 100%,very clean,super hot shower water in which I LOVEed! Free wifi and great,quiet place and park right in front of your room door in which are all downstairs also so that's a big plus! Also I'm a truck driver and my rig fits perfect here!Attached to motel is a full size laundromat and convenient store. Awesome cheap price and I will be a return customer for sure! 5 stars!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Disgusting and run down. If I had been given a heads up that the walls were paper-thin, I definitely would have paid a little more to stay elsewhere. What a nightmare. 53 bucks is cheap, including tax, and there's no doubt about that. But trust me, you get what you pay for in this case, pleaseee spend your money elsewhere. The room had an old smell and as mentioned, the walls were paper-thin so you can hear everything from the wind blowing noisily outside to people running their showers and talking next door. I called the front desk a few hours after I checked in to the room to see about getting some kind of credit, 10 to 25% off or something. I didn't expect to get a free room, Although for a refund I would have gone elsewhere that same night, even though I was exhausted from driving for 8 hours and it was 11pm. I did ask for refund that night and was willing to leave but I was told the manager would be in in the morning. There was hair from other people in the shower before I even used it the next morning and a handcloth had stubbles of hair in it from someone else. Absolutely repulsive!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. It is a joke of an establishment and you will not be comfortable!!! Dirty, filthy, the management was not helpful and completely unwilling to give any kind of discount the next morning given everything I described. I even handed her the filthy washcloth. Not worth it!! Don't give them your money. Also, the wifi ABSOLUTELY SUCKS at this place. Don't touch this place with a 1000 foot pole. You're better off sleeping in your car at a rest stop than staying here. This place should go out of business. Absolute filth.

Been at Git's Big Sky Motel several times in past years. Inexpensive, yet basic accommodations are great! Even includes a laundromat on the premises. Clean and meets the needs of the weary traveler just fine. Old style place, no frills, but is just fine. I'm usually with friends passing through on motorcycle trips. Bikes get parked immediately in front of our rooms. Downside: major BNSF railroad is within 100 yards away and freight trains pass through frequently both day and night. Go Gits!!

Owner is very nice and accommodating. Very nice cabins, this was my second trip here and enjoyed it both times and will come back again. Nice center yard with grills and tables, good place to meet and talk with new people.

I stayed here for a business trip in Columbus. First of all, it's just a normal/common/regular motel in appearance of a motel in any other motels of small towns in Montana. In Columbus, there's another motel (one of major chains) which charges you almost twice!!?? Then if you are just passing the area or staying for a very short term for business purpose like myself, I DO recommend. I have had NO problems. I'd say the 4th star is added because of its proximity of gas station, restaurant (307!!), and grocery store.As for the noise of trains, it's not motel's fault or its location, But it's the eternal problems of railroads, I think..... Why would they honk in the middle of night when nobody presents in this small town? .........not just here, you crooks in Burlington Northern Saint Fe!!

Clean but kind of an older style motel. Staff was friendly and they gave us free coffee in the office in the morning. Very reasonably priced in close to the interstate.

You won't find a motel as low priced as The Big Sky. 72 years family owned .Quaint place on the main drag in Columbus and laundry mat and groceries, gas and bait...all in one.Great people in a great town.

A typical motel. Great customer service. Tana was our salvation. We had to stay 2 days bc of snow. All in all okay.

Very expensive for what you stay in. The rooms were gross and smelled unclean, there wasnt a fridge or microwave, the TV didnt work, the shower head was so clogged up it was hard to take a shower, very loud (so dont plan on sleeping) and the staff were not very friendly.

Git's is definitely a bargain motel, but the bed was fine and I slept like a rock. Tana works behind the desk and is an old friend.

We didn't stay at the motel but used the laundry mat. It was clean and the prices for washing and drying were very reasonable.

My room was filthy, see pic, this was the chair in my room. My room was supposedly non smoking but smelled so bad of old stale smoke I ended up sick. If I could negative stars I would.

Called to see what they had available and the lady did not sound pleasant at all. No greet or good bye. Just hung up before I even said thank you. So rude.

Affordable, friendly. Trains run across the street but we were too tired to care and this was a much more affordable option than the hotel on the highway.

The owner of this establishment is a racist. She told me that she won't rent to me because I'm not white. She is rude and it was appauling to hear because the property is within native reservations. This is not a place I would recommend to anyone.

Cheap hotel...with small convenience store. However rooms are tiny and need a good scrubbing/update....no perks such as wifi...Works for one person OTR

We used the laundromat that is attached to the motel. It was clean, all machines worked. Motel staff friendly.

65 year old run down - Bugs in roomsUnclean for the most part. NO coffee maker NO FRIG.19" TV on a shelf. If laying down you wont see itTHE PRICE 56.00 INCLUDING TAX.
