I am giving this place a one star because no stars was not an option. I can't speak for their VW repairs, but I Would NOT take a Porsche here. After 6 months of sitting in their parking lot they finally worked on it. Believe it or not, it sounded and ran like a John Deere tractor when I got it back. When I asked them about it they said it was fixed. I ended up having to find another mechanic to fix everything German Auto did wrong. I have this all documented with pictures. They snapped off bolts and just left them. The reason it ran so rough was because they put the Timing belt gear on backwards. I ended up having to pay 2 different mechanics for the same job, I am just lucky the 2nd place was willing to fix all the things German Auto broke or messed up. The 2nd mechanic was nice enough to call me and have me come take pictures of all the Errors. If you want to spend money for nothing, this is the place to do it!I welcome anyone to contact me and I can share pictures and a write-up from the 2nd mechanic.

Do not use this shop for Vanagon repairs!!!While on a trip to Glacier NP our fuel tank started leaking when filled to capacity. We went to German Auto Services for the repair. I explained that fuel only leaks while filled to capacity. I told them it was most likely the evaporation components on the top of the tank. Without lowering the tank they said it was the seam on the fuel tank and we needed a new tank. The fuel tank is fine and the old stains they saw were from the evaporation lines leaking and running down the sides of the tank. They said the cost of the inspection would not be applied towards the cost of repairs like most reputable shops would do.While in the shop I requested an oil change. We were charged $25.00 for hazardous materials.I would not recommend German Auto Services for Vanagon or for that matter any repair services. I would give zero stars if possible.Service: Oil change

Megan and Mark were super helpful getting my Vanagon Westfalia back on the road. Megan was smart to use a bleeder screw from another van that would be staying around, to get us back on the road right away. Mark extracted the broken bleed screw, replaced the newer one, then bleed the van to get us back on the road. No more issues and were able to drive back to Los Angeles. I highly recommend this place for your vanagon whether you re from the area or driving through.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I don't think I can say enough about my experiences and German Auto. Since I took possession of my Volvo XC60 German Auto has maintained my vehicle and they've always been on cost and efficient and personable. I picked up my vehicle today and it was as if it was brand new.

Biggest Scammers ever. They said for $3000 to fix the car. They said it s fixed and not even a mile down the road the engine stops working. Then they pull a bunch of other stuff that need to be done out of their but. Well we didn t respond. They did a bunch of work without permission. And now demanding $8000. Do not bring you work here. They do not do quality work and will gouge you without permission.

This business is local and family operated. The mechanics are incredibly thorough and knowledgeable about directly addressing the issue with confidence. I couldn t be more impressed with their ability to locate the issue and fix it instead of playing a costly guessing game. The mechanics complete a clean job efficiently and effectively. The service was genuine, honest and friendly. I truly felt valued as a client with the safety of the vehicle put first. I appreciate the dedication and hard work, thank you a million.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

On vacation had major problem w porsche. locals sent me to autohaus. same day and some hours later problem corrected. they had the necessary german tools most places don't. drove 7 hours home to wy w/o problem. this avoided a 4 hour flatbed trip to porsche spokane. can't say enough; lifesavers. highly recommend for german car owners to condsider autohaus. thanks autohaus!

VW bus engine overhaul and miscellaneous other improvements. He wanted all payments up front, should have been a red flag but at that point we trusted him. A month long project took him 6 months, and that involved me calling him weekly the last 6 weeks, and him saying he needed another 2 days , next week , etc. We did add on some items to be done, so that did add to the time needed but not 2 months worth. Could go on and on about a very negative experience, but I ll just say that after spending $11,442.25 we did finally get the bus back, only to have to find a real VW mechanic to get it running right. Don t trust Don

My 09 Toyota Highlander had a major oil leak from high pressure line due to normal wear. Calling the 2 local maintenance shops, they were back logged 2 weeks. Just on a whim I called Auto Haus. Took my car that night, was done next day by noon, 2 hours sooner than quoted, and almost $100 less than quoted. Thanks guys.. you have my business....

Grouchy old man sitting in a chair on the front porch telling me a car had been fully restored that he was trying to sell. The car was clearly rusting and not even close to restored. Wouldn't suggest taking my car they are for a repair or buying a vehicle off that lot.

Well my car was my daily driver and in great shape until I took it here in December of 2021 over 4000 dollars later and all these months later and we had to have it towed to Celtic motors to try to get it running again and Megan told me over and over for several months it will be next week what a bunch of lies I don't recommend anyone bring your card here
