My god are these people dumb. Waited three weeks for them to finally just give up on replacing struts because they didn t understand how air suspension works. 3 times they told me they would call when they had the right part and they didn t a single time. It s a factory air suspension from dodge/jeep and it left them clueless after two attempts to order the part, telling me to just go to a dealership because he thought I had some sort of invisible 5 lift kit on it. Amazing these people call themselves mechanics and get paid to do so.

I went in for my 5,000-mile rotation and mentioned a funny noise. They diagnosed the funny noise as a worn out drive line. Oh no! I was supposed to leave for Denver in two days! Well, the parts arrived the next morning, they were installed, and my car drove beautifully to Denver and back.It's nice to have people I can count on to take care of these types of things.

Had my brakes worked on, 4 times over the same issue and almost a year in the making. Never had brake squeal until they changed my brakes. Finally frustrated I took my truck to the dealer and found out that the brakes were never installed correctly by Pomp's. Called the district rep and he told me I could have my money back but they wouldn't pay for the difference to have my truck fixed correctly. Poor Customer service.

Had a steer tire go flat on our work truck over the weekend, called pomps and gave them the needed info and they were out to fix it right away!Great and friendly service every time!Thank you guys for being awesome!

They didn't have my tire fixed/replace over 24 hr later. Even after I talked to someone about replacing my tire. And was quoted a price and told it was done. But when I showed up they had a bare rim and I was lucky they knew where that was.

Friday of Memorial weekend...our Kabota gets a flat tire Not ONE place had a replacement on hand...except Pomp's in Butte & Kabota dealer in Missoula! Went to Pomp's for half the price! We got TOP NOTCH service... And they got a customer for life!! Thanks Bill!!

I came to butte to buy a vehicle for my family and unfortunately it needed new tires severey. But I called pomp's looking for a couple of used tires for the meantime and they got me in asap, found some decent used tires, got them on and had me on my way back home in no time and at an affordable price. Would highly recommend them to anyone

I've been visiting the Butte area for a couple of weeks and a few days ago noticed that one of my tires was losing air. I thoroughly researched reviews and landed on Whalen. Wow. They repaired the tire before I knew what was happening, getting me in and out in no time. They could not have been more efficient, friendly and just awesome. Great price, great people. Bought 4 new tires for my truck from this place. Picked my truck up and noticed when I got home that a center cap was missing. Went back the next morning and they couldn't find it so they said they would order a new one. This was 2 years ago. Went back periodically to check if they had found it or ordered a new one but they never did find or replace my center cap. Not a very expensive part but if you can't fix a small mistake what about a big mistake?

Great Job, Very Nice Guys, highly recommend.We had brake problem on our tow vehicle, Jeep Ranger on vacation in our RV. Needed full brake job with rotators, pads and seals. They got job done quickly and we were very pleased with the price.

May,12, 2022 at 7:30 am at Butte KOA Campground we noticed a flat tire on our motorhome. Being from Canada, we were unfamiliar with the area so the only thing to do was to google tire shops. Whalen Tire came up. We phoned and were told to come by right away and they would work us in as soon as they could. We arrived at 7:50 am and by 8:00 am we drove into the shop. At 8:40 am we were on our way home to Canada. We would certainly recommend this tire shop to everyone as the pricing was very fair with excellent, professional and efficient workmanship. We didn't actually have work done as the issue we had was much bigger than we originally thought, but Whalen Tire was able to quickly assess the situation and recommend us to another shop. And on the Saturday of the 4th of July weekend, no less. Excellent customer service. Would recommend to anyone and would return if I ever break down in Butte again.

--04/11/2019 -- Update -- In the past two weeks I have had new tire's put on my flat bed and yesterday I had them work on the brakes on my mother in law pick up . They where professional and polite just like my past visits. They have employees that know what they are doing . You get great service and quality work . Again Thanks Whalen Tire ----Great People , Thanks Whalen Tire.----- 12/13/18 I went back to get tires again and was treated the same as the first time . Whalen Tire has always been a great place for me to get tire's and front end work . So again - Great service and great people , Thanks Whalen Tire's !

First rate quality service, and they 100% back up whatever work they do. Made emergency road calls a few times when my wife had tire troubles, very thankful for that. Also, Butte is a small city where student and volunteer groups of all kinds are always looking for donations it seems that Whalens donates to everyone they give back.

They were able to help us when we had a problem with our trailer tire on labor day. Most places were closed but they came in and helped. HOWEVER, they charged us $160 for a simple valve stem replacement. We were obviously in a tight situation with other shops not being open and they took advantage of our situation and of us.

Great experience! I had a tire go bad on my rv.. I called an asked for a specific brand, and they had them.. I pulled in and they went to work right away , a were very quick with the install.. highly recommend them!! Thanks for the great service!!!

We were on a cross country trip with our sprinter van . We had a lot of front end vibration and our tires were wearing out. We stopped by whalen tires and got 2 new tires within an hour. The best service ever. The van has never run so good.

Had a flate on my semi. Called pomps and got me in and back on the road. Staff are very friendly. This will be my go to for future repairs. Awesome place.

Main manager, even though the services required for the vehicle; and that's understandable, where not part of their services offered, was rude. Not the first time. I go here due to credit I'm eligible for. It's difficult to say why he's cratankerous, I believe he does not enjoy his job.

I can't say enough good things about Whalen Tire and the amazing service that I have gotten over the years. Ryan and all the rest of the crew are absolutely the most accommodating and professional people in the business.. I would recommend Whalen Tire to anyone I know..

These guys have always been helpful and accommodating. I've bought many tires and oil changes here. They'll fix a flat for nothing if you're a regular or charge you a reasonable fee. 4 bays, usually no wait.

$30 per tire to mount/balance because I brought in my own tires. Quoted $200 for a pair of drum shoes replacement. Punctual work, but the prices seem a bit high.

I absolutely would not recommend Whalen Tire to anyone. We brought in our F350 and had brand new tires installed. I picked up the vehicle and attempted to drove it home, after just getting off the INTERSTATE at 80mph, I was luckily slowed down to about 45 mph before my entire wheel and tire detached from the vehicle, causing me to slide the vehicle across the road and into the ditch. I was in the highlands, at dark when this happened with zero cell service but luckily a car passed and brought me home. The vehicle then needed to of course be towed by a wrecker. Luckily this didn't happen 30 seconds beforehand when I was traveling on the highway at 80mph. This was due to them forgetting to torque the lugs down. They weren't apologetic in any manner, and I was appalled by the way they handled the situation. I could have been killed, or worse my family could have been with me like they almost always are. Do not trust, or support Whalen tire.

I got there with a scare from a car accident, requiring a wheel change. Even though they didn t have one fit my tire, they installed my spare wheel for me without charging. They were very friendly and sympathetic.

My son went here for alignment and did not get any paperwork to say what was done for the alignment, i.e. where it was before and where it is now to see how the alignment has been corrected. Never heard of a place not providing documentation of the work performed.
