These guys are great, best car experience I've had in Bozeman so far. I brought my Rav4 in because it's making a weird noise when starting but I didn't have a lot of concrete details for them. Keith was so thorough and ran all the codes, checked and double checked the battery and alternator and anything else he thought could potentially be creating the issue. He had great communication and genuinely listened to and addressed all of my concerns, I really felt like I could trust his judgment. I so appreciated him taking the time to do all of that so I could have peace of mind about driving my vehicle. Also the woman I spoke to in the front office was so nice and helpful too. Awesome place all the way around :)

Outstanding. Reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Very fair. We've taken our Land Cruisers/Lexus and 4 Runners/GX to Peter for years now. Anyone in the TLCA group could rely on Rising Sun, hands down. Know their stuff.

First time not using a dealership to do any maintenance on my Toyota and I am bummed I did not do it sooner!The team here did an awesome job doing my 90k service on my Tacoma and were super straightforward and honest on what needed to be done and what didn t. I will certainly be telling everyone I know in the valley to skip the dealership and start coming here instead. Amazing job!

Keith and his crew at Rising Sun are the most genuine and caring mechanics I've ever encountered. They've kept our Toyota's running strong with an '06 Highlander over 260k miles and our '98 4runner over 300k!!! They are so helpful with questions and letting us know the priorities when things are tight. They always make us feel welcome when we come in and I couldn't recommend them enough!!!

My partner and I ran into some vehicle troubles on our long road trip to Bozeman in my Honda CR-V. We brought it to Rising Sun Auto Repair based on the great reviews, and although they only work on Toyota and Lexus vehicles, Peter still took a look at my vehicle and gave us a diagnosis and some tips to make sure we made it home! Great and honest shop.

I used to work with Keith at a local dealer in the 1990's and have always found him to be honest and reliable. I no longer work on cars, so I told my parents to start taking their Avalon to Rising Sun for work. We are all very pleased with the great service. We also love the fact that it is a father son business. Thanks guys!

A family member took my 4Runner to Bozeman from Utah and ran into an issue. Even though the shop was busy, the got me worked and got the vehicle fix in three days, including the time it took to get the needed parts. Afterwards, I flew up to grab it and drive it back and the mechanic who worked on it took me out and talked me though what they did. They were extremely professional. If Rising Sun were not a seven hour drive, they would be my go to shop. Thanks for the assistance.

I have a Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, it s been everywhere man, across the USA and Canada. I was about to embark on another long roadtrip and starting to doubt my trusty taco. I called Keith on a whim expecting him to be booked for weeks in advance. Instead he told me to come right over, he took time out of his busy day to drive my truck, look it over, and give me an honest assessment. That meant the world to me and gave me confidence in my vehicle before leaving on a big adventure. I can t thank you enough Keith, I ve been looking for a honest and caring mechanic like you for years. Keep on Truckin !

Months after taking my vehicle to Rising Sun, an issue arose that could have possibly been related to the work done at Rising Sun. Keith was incredibly professional and courteous even though it was not clear if he was liable or not. All the folks at Rising Sun were incredibly helpful, kind, professional and took responsibility even if they did not have to. I highly recommend this place.

Honest folks who stand by their work. I brought my wife s 08 4runner in to have a rear axle seal replaced. I work on my own vehicles as much as possible but this job requires an expensive specialized tool that I didn t have access too. A few days after rising sun completed the job I noticed the seal was leaking again. I brought it in and they took it back apart and realized they failed to notice the wheel bearing race and wheel bearing assembly needed to be replaced in addition to the seal due to a wear groove where the axle seal rides. They put a new axle a seal on for free and only charged me for the parts to replace the wheel bearing and race. I ll be taking my Toyotas to them anytime a job comes up that I can t tackle myself.

Keith rode around with me in my 95 T100 to listen for the the noise . We had to coordinate so that the temps were just right. Before I brought in my 91 Toyota pickup. These guys are knowledgable and communicative and honest. And a shout out to Melanie coordinating things behind the scene, thanks to you all. I found out about Rising Sun through a good friend of mine. And now Rising Sun is the ONLY shop I will take my Toyota to in Bozeman. Honest, dependable, affordable, and above and beyond service. Keith and his employees are great mechanics and good people too.

During a road trip the check engine light came on in our Tacoma. Faulty thermostat. Melanie squeezed us in and after Peter assessed the situation he said we were ok to drive without replacing the thermostat until we got home. Didn't even charge us. Honest and accommodating. Highly recommend.

I needed a timing belt replacement and made an appointment here due to all of the positive reviews. I normally hate taking my car to a shop, but I felt very comfortable and confident with these guys. They showed me exactly what they were doing, took me in the shop to look at the parts they were replacing and treated me with respect. Reasonable price and they got the job done a lot quicker than I expected.

Rising sun is the best. I would not take my Toyota or Lexus anywhere else. Professional and fair. If you are looking for a trusted mechanic for your Toyota product- look no further. These guys are the best.

I am getting ready for a road trip to Colorado. I recently bought a 2006 Subaru and I was looking for someone to give it a thorough once over to make sure it was ready for the road; Rising Sun Auto Repair did just that. They have a very friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Some places will quote you an amount and when you pick up your car it seems the bill is always a little more than quoted. I was quoted an amount and I was told if the car didn't need it it wouldn't be done. True to their word, my bill was half of that which I was quoted. Very pleased with their services and will return for future work.Joshua.

I've known Keith and the gang since 2006, and ALWAYS gotten the best service from them of any mechanic shop across the land. They know Toyotas better than anyone, and will always take the time to make sure the job is done right.

Trustworthy and fair, Rising Sun Auto repair has always done a great job when I've taken in my Toyotas for repair. I had a radiator that needed replaced and they allowed me to bring in my own parts, which is rare for a shop and much appreciated because it saved me several hundred dollars. I'll keep supporting this shop as long as they are around.

Keith, Melannie and the Crew take care of our family of Toyota vehicles. They are a quality service provider, honest, professional, cost effective and keep in contact throughout the process of repair to discuss the issue, cost, expected time of repair, etc. We really appreciate Rising Sun!

We have been using them since they opened, many years ago. They do high quality work, the prices are reasonable, and they are scrupulously honest. We have taken Honda, Toyota, and Acura vehicles there, ranging from a 1975 FJ40 Land Cruiser to a 2012 Acura MDX. The result has always been the same: a satisfied customer. And with Peter joining father Keith in the shop, it looks like Bozeman may be fortunate enough to have yet another generation of Rising Sun excellence.

These guys are amazing. When I look for a repair shop I'm looking for mechanics that have the skill to properly diagnose and then fix any issue. They have this and more - what more do I mean? They have showed me that they are willing to be straight up honest and tell me when they don't think something is a priority and that I could save money by delaying optional work. They are pragmatic about the tradeoffs on used cars in terms of doing work that will actually provide long-term value to keep it running well. I trust them to do great work, but also to give me good direction.

I was so lucky to have found this place! I am new to the area and a female, always afraid of getting ripped off because I dont know much about trucks. Let me tell you, from the moment I walked in I was treated with kindness and felt comfortable. The owner truly cares about people and their safety. These guys rock, they helped look over the work another local shop messed up on my tundra and told me exactly what was up. They didnt try to upsell any services and were super kind. Its worth the wait to get your toyota into them
