Had to cancel my appt because I caught the flu. Tried five or six times and they never answered the phone. So either short-staffed or poor customer service. They have always been pretty good in person, though ..

I have a slowly leaking tire. I go to the Costco Tire Center in Bozeman, MT. where I purchased the tires under Costco s 5-year road hazard warranty two years and about 20,000 miles earlier.They refuse to accept walk-ins and I am offered an appointment 5 weeks out, obviously, I can t live with a damaged tire for 5 weeks. I am told to come back before the 10AM opening time and try for a repair then.I arrive at 9:30, the second in line. The manager announces to the crowd behind me that they are taking only 2 walk-ins (warranty repairs) and send everyone else away. I am told it could take all day before they get to it message: we only do enough warranty work to avoid being accused of selling phony warranties. If you do use the warranty, we will make you pay by holding you here all day.Six hours later I am told the sidewall is damaged and they must replace all 4 tires because it is an all-wheel drive car. They charge me $390 for my warranty , a big profit margin for them. I never see the damage to my tire and I never see my original tires with 50,000 miles remaining (more profit margin for someone).

Pretty good service once you get an appointment or walk in to ask a question. However, appointments are often months out and you do have to walk in to ask the most simple question because it is really hard to get to anyone on the phone.Update Oct 3: Again, trying to return a call to arrange work. It is impossible to get through and the mailbox is full. I will have to drive to Costco to simply talk to a person and then drive back again to pick up my vehicle.

Always great quick service. The extra bonuses you get when you buy your tires here are so nice. Had a leak and it was fixed up no problem.

I had been unable to get to the tire center by phone for a week to make an appointment. My computor had not been working till now,.I called costco admin.number. Terry answered the phone and went down to the tire center to make an appt for me. She called me back and i'm all set.THANK YOU TERRY!

First and last time time using a Costco tire center. Despite having the first appointment of the day and being told new tire replacement would only take an hour, sat there nearly 2.5 hours for the service to be completed with only vague explanations on what the delay was.Such a long wait time negates any benefit from doing it while you shop at Costco, and the saving benefits were marginal compared to other tire service centers. Better to just use Les Schwabs.

I left my battery outside due to my arthritis and the heat. The man wouldn't go through his garage to get it and made me walk around the outside of the building. Might as well have bought it online as human as that guy was.

Scheduled an appointment for a mount and balance. Dropped keys off. 90 minutes later I received a phone call from the tire shop stating they will not mount and balance my tires because the tires were not purchased at Costco. This employee was extremely rude and unprofessional. He essentially was blaming me for wasting his time even though it was my time that was wasted. At no point did any person at the tire shop tell me this would be an issue. Waited 3 weeks for this appointment. And then 90 minutes after I dropped the keys off, for them to rudely deliver this information. And now every other tire store is 2-3 weeks out on appointments. Who's time was wasted?? This sort of behavior should not be tolerated at Costco.

My wife and I want to personally thank Riley Linihan, Jackson Rogers, and Keinan Gaylor for their assistance with our vehicle on 1/29/23. We were in a pinch with our tires being damaged, and we needed to get home. All three of these people in your tire department were professional and extremely helpful in getting our tires repaired so we could get home early on a Sunday. We can't thank you enough for all you did for us, Keinan, Riley, and Jackson!

A one hour service turned into two exactly with no explanation. Manager decided upon himself to only top off the tires with nitrogen even though I asked to do the full conversion because he assumed since I bought the tires there two years ago they would still have nitrogen in them, but only I knew they didn t. Of course they don t tell you this until you question them.. Does nitrogen cost you too much, take too much time?? I think it s pure laziness. Watch out they obviously like to cut corners.Went back on 8/16 for just a balance service. The place was dead with one person needing a tire repair before. Was told it should take less than an hour especially just for a balance. Took 1.5 hours. Love standing outside with a cart of groceries waiting.. I think I ve learned that whatever services you get with your tire purchase just isn t worth it with Costco. Too busy, too many rules and exceptions.

Did a great job putting on new tires and I got an excellent deal. However, our Costco tire center is so busy that for my last couple appointments I've had to call multiple times before I can get a hold of anyone. It's been real busy inside and so asking questions or paying took a long time. Overall, I was happy with the tire price and the actual service of putting on the tires, but I'd like to see more staff hired to help answer phones and get people in and out in a reasonable time.

I ordered and paid for a set of 4 tires for my truck 8 months ago. They said they were back ordered and it would be 4-6 weeks before they could get them in. 5 weeks in I gave them a call and they said they were back ordered for another couple weeks but they would be calling bridgestone every day to make sure they got the first shipment. A month later I called and they said they would get right on ordering them for me. Another month goes by and I call again. They say they'll look into it and get back to me on Monday.Of course, they didn't call me. The next three times I called over the next three months, they said there was a note next to my profile that said to order the tires. The next time I called the guy said he had seen a set of tires with my name of them, but they must have gone to somebody else.I can't say how dissatisfied I am with their customer service. I've never called a business so many times and had this kind of run around. I hope they're good at installing tires because they sure can't seem to order them. I would have obviously cancelled the order months ago and gotten my money back if I had needed my truck because the tires have gotten to the point that they aren't safe to drive on.

In 20 years of being a Costco member I have yet to be able to utilize their tire center. Always too busy or they won t replace the front tires, etc. staff are friendly enough but always understaffed. I have tried many times over the years to use their tire service but somehow they always turn my business away for some odd reason.

Talked with male clerk who's worked there 5+ yrs about deck treatments. He was friendly, knowledgeable and assisted me with finding another item as well. Friendly, helpful and professional. 5 letters in his name. A great asset to Loew's

I love the Costco store but the tire department is a nightmare! I called them on Wednesday to get four new tires. They said that they weren't taking appointments but if I dropped the car off between 7 and 9 am I could pick it up at the end of the day. I confirmed that I would be in on Friday morning before 9.After both my husband and I took time off work to get there at 8 am on Friday I was told that they were not taking any more that day nor the next. Which means that if I wanted to go back we would need to take more time off next week. Sure their tires seem cheap but our time has value too which totally negates the savings of their pricing.Fortunately I got in the next day at Firestone who did them in a couple of hours and price matched Costco.

Will always be going to Costco for tires. Randi was on top of her stuff big time, very smart. 10 seconds before purchasing the tires we wanted and spending $900, she asked us to check the wheel and verify the size because she had a feeling we had written it down incorrectly. I go out and what do you know, she knew it wasn t a 255 and that it was a 225. Incredible service, thanks Randi and Costco Tire!!!

Extremely disappointed in my experience with the Costco Tire Center s service. I purchased snow tires at the end of October, and they said they would call me once they received them. They refused at the time of the order to schedule an installation appointment which should have been a red flag. I never received a call back and started calling every couple of days, but they never once picked up the phone. I ended up having to drive to the store, and learned they have had the tires in since November 1st but no one knows why I never received a call. Best of all, they can t install the tires today so I can either make an appointment or take them with me and pay another company to install them. They are forcing 3 trips to the store - 1 to order the tires, another to make an appointment (since they never answer the phone), and another for install. I recommend never purchasing from this Costco Tires center. And yes, im taking the tires and having another tire store do the install.

Disappointed in my experience. I had an appointment with Costco. They did not start changingn my tires untill an hour later. At that point they told me that they could not remove the lug nut to one of my tires and I needed to go to a specialized tire shop to get them loosened. Also my tire tread was low and they could not put the tires that they took off back on.They stated I could use the spare or tow my truck.Needless to say I went to a local tire shop and did not have any problems.I will not be back to the Costco tire center. Because I will never tow my truck because they do not have the tools to finish what they started.

We're from Washington state... We were driving to Yellowstone for a week vacation there, and in Livingston (just an hour outside Yellowstone), we had a bad leak (nail hole, apparently) in a tire. It was Sunday... Not much open. Had to drive 1/2 hour to Bozeman to get it looked at (tires were purchased at Costco). They were really busy. But those guys scrambled around and worked us in and patched the tire in under an hour. That let us get back on track for our vacation.Seriously good service. Thanks!!!!

I wish it was possible to give the tire center a 0. I was there on 10/13/16 and dropped my car off for a rotate and balance.came back to paint peeled off my bumper and huge scratches all over the back bumper. Their preinspection work sheet said nothing of the damage and i picked it up immediately after it was finished. They had me fill out an insurance claim form and their insurance company says they have no liability, that it probably just got hit by another car. I requested video surveillance and they claim they don't have ANY! Hmm... this isn't over costco tire and you will fix the car you damaged in your care!

Got stuck at Target with a flat tire the night before our vacation, gave these guys a call within a half hour of them closing and they still managed to get us in and back on the road with the little time they had. Big thanks to Jake and the rest of the team!

Worst tire shop ever! Lazy and argumentative staff. Used be such a great place. Last couple of years it's been lacking professionalism and poor quality of service/quality of work.

Took 3 weeks to get scheduled for new tires ...much easier and quicker to just order them online and have them mounted by a local tire shop
