First off, my truck is my pride and joy. I inspect it multiple times a day, and have done all maintenance on my own. Now for the details. Hanks did a great job with the actual damage repair, but upon inspection at home I noticed damaged/missing R&I parts and overall careless work. My truck was dead in the parking lot upon pickup, in which I was told to give it a look outside while the repaired side of my truck was parked mirror to mirror with another vehicle. Chip in the door, dimple in interior from leaning parts on the panel, screws missing from mudflap, window visors missing clips and installed incorrectly, positive cable cap floating around in engine bay, wheel weights just casually sitting in my cupholder with no mention of why, and more. Had a CEL upon leaving, was instantly told we weren t in the engine bay so it sounds like a service issue no. I should have known better to deal with Lithia AGAIN. If you need a vehicle repaired, don t follow the reviews post-buyout.

I appreciate so much the length that the team went to make sure everything was repaired on my vehicle. I know as they worked, they continued to find more and more problems. Thank you for helping get my insurance company to agree to repairs and not total my vehicle. The car looks incredible and I will continue to use Hank's as I have for the last 30 years. I also appreciate the communication. I had all my questions answered and no surprises! Excellent work!!

I had the pleasure of doing business with Hank's Body shop about a week ago. Dayle was my service advisor and she handled my situation like a true professional. I had requested (Begged) that my vehicle be done in record time as I had a very difficult week in front of me and really was in a bit of a time crunch. Dayle promised me she would do everything possible to have my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland done within my time frame and much to my amazement she made it happen. Additionally, when I got the vehicle home my husband noticed that our damaged hitch had not been replaced and after one phone call Dayle made that situation right as well. It was also a treat to see that they did a mini detail on the Jeep before delivering it to me. If I could give more than a five star rating I would. While on our way from Minnesota to Montana, we had a coyote run out in front of us and it broke our radiator. An awesome towing company towed us over an hour to Hanks Auto Body. Though their regular schedule was out a month or more, they were exceptional with their service and repaired our vehicle while we enjoyed our vacation! They helped expedite our claims process with our insurance and kept us up to date on our repairs throughout the week. Sue in the office is an amazing woman to work with and she was so kind! Hanks did such an amazing job on not only taking care of my car but making sure everything went smoothly with an insurance company that was not cooperating AND taking their own sweet time coming to get their on estimate on my car that they requested to have. When my car was returned to me after getting repaired at hanks I was so impressed. It was immaculate. The outside was completely sparkling and the inside was wiped down and vacuumed. Hanks was timely, efficient and always kept in contact with me to keep me updated on what was going on. I HIGHLY recommend this place. They are easy to work with and have very personable employees and owners to listen to your questions and concerns. I will absolutely use them with any future services I might need!

When Hanks was family owned it was amazing!! Now it's run by Lithia.. they have had my car for almost two months..I keep getting "oh one more week" "one more day" over and over again..I called them this Monday morning (was supposed to be done last friday) was told the parts came in but they were damaged and lo and behold I have to wait longer!! This is unacceptable and I will never take my car there again nor refer anyone to them anymore!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I went to Lithia body and paint after getting rear ended by a semi truck, and it was a wonderful experience! The employees dealt with the insurance companies for me to ensure that they were using quality and new parts to fix my vehicle. They also worked with me to get my car fixed within a timely matter as I needed it to make a long road trip for school. After the repairs my car looked brand new! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs body work done.

Great body shop, friendly staff, and on point with their work. I have always used Hanks even prior to Lithia purchasing them and have never been disappointed! People need to understand in this world we now live in that it is difficult to get parts for the repairs snd alot of places are short staffed due to the covid mess...inclimate weather also affects the ability to get parts in a timely manner as well, so the reviews saying it took forever to get their vehicle repaired- YES it can happen depending on parts availability....it's not always the bodyshop fault!Service: Body & Trim

I ve had to get work done here twice on my Dodge Charger and they have done an excellent job. The staff was always super friendly and made me feel like my car was a top priority! They also kept me updated frequently on the work getting done which I really appreciated!

My first experience was pretty good. However took them 22 days to replace the door for what seems like it should have taken half the time but the car came out very nice and had no issues with the repair. My second experience wasn't so nice. It started with them telling me I cant choose which parts (OEM) or (remanufactured) I want to fix my truck. Then they give my keys to a random customer 30 mins after I dropped off my vehicle so then ask me for my spare. When I did some calling around to my Insurance about what parts I'm allowed to use and get told it's my choice I decided to pull my vehicle from them and take it to a different shop and my experience retrieving my vehicle from them was not plesent. They were rude to me because I didn't feel comfortable with the potential out come of repairs, and that I didn't appreciate being told that the choice of parts wasnt my choice. They said It's my insurances choice. (It's not insurances vehicle, it's mine). The repair on my car was good but my experience with the staff wasn't plesent with my truck. If you don't care take it here. But if you want quality parts and a body shop you can trust I'd take it somewhere else.

Needed repair to left rear fender and tail light. Picked up our car yesterday and was delighted with the results. Besides the fender being restored to normal, the car came back sparkling clean as if it had just been detailed - inside and out!! The bid for this work at Hank's beat out another paint business - Wildfire - by $500. We highly recommend Hank's for auto body work. Diane

Hanks body shop did and AMAZING job on my car after I hit a tree. They lent me a car while they fixed mine and I spun the Lithia/hanks wheel and got $250 knocked off my deductible! I took my Chrysler 300 2017 in to lithia Dodge Body and paint to get a estimate on 11/12/18. I told them that I use this vehicle daily for work. So I scheduled the work to be done over my vacation. I was to drop it off on 12/26/18 and I was told it would be finished 12/28/18. So on 12/28 around noon I called. I was informed that there computers were down and they could not finish the repairs until 12/31. I asked them why didn't they call me to inform me of this. The gal argued with me and told me that she was not sure if it would be done or not. I asked her if they paint it on one day wouldn't you have to pick it up the next day. She told me not necessarily. Then she admitted that she should of called me. So on 12/31 she called and informed me that they were putting the car back together and I could pick it up on this day. However she said the car would not be completed because they did not have all of the parts. They were missing the lower grill. I had paid for this repair in full on 11/12. I would expect the parts to be there, they had over a month to prepare. She also told me on the phone that she would call when I could pick up the car. She then called me around noon and said the car was ready to pick up. So I arrived around 1:15 and asked to speak to the manager when he came in I let him know about the above issues. After I complained to the manager I asked him if my car was ready and he said it will be in a hour. I asked him why did she call me to say it was ready. He said I am not sure. She walked in and he asked her if she had called me and told me that my car was ready. She said no I didn't. I told her that she did, and she said no I did not and lied again. I sure as hell would not have came down there early just to sit around because I enjoy that kind of thing. The manager offered me 100 dollar coupon on my next repair as long as I spend 500 dollars. Yippee I am over joyed. I understand stuff happens. They did not even try to remedy the situation. Maybe offer me a vehicle to use the 3 extra days you had my vehicle. Refund me some money back for my troubles. Just a thought.

Came in for an estimate and was treated very rudely by the receptionist/office manager. She was irritated that I had come in close to 5:00 PM. Made arrangements for repair. Had to swing by for someone to get a color sample - 12:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. Again, treated with disdain by the receptionist. Said everyone was at lunch. Painter busy. No one there to help, I would have to come back. I was not very happy with the way I was being treated - She later called my husband and said they didn't need our business. They definitely won't get it. We heard they were good for older Saabs, but we will return to American Auto Body, where they are ALWAYS friendly and ALWAYS have someone to talk to. Remember - Hank's DOESN'T NEED THE BUSINESS.

A great place if you like sloppy painting and lots of overspray and streaks.Lithia Toyota took my car here to warranty bodywork on the rear trunk.They did repaint part of the trunk lid. However, Lithia didn t remover the truck lid form the car. The inside liner of my trunk in speckled with white paint. The outside has paint streaks from too much paint.I would have been better off paying to have some else do the work.As of this date. 2/20/19 they other 5-star reviews are from people that have ONLY EVER DON T ONE REVIEW.

Small town family business with amazing customer service skills. I would recommend Hanks Body Shop to anyone who wants their car fixed. Their pricing was better than Lithia Toyota and American Body Shop. I got one on one care. they understood the fact that i didnt want my car to be totaled. I had just got done paying it off.after the repair was done, they dropped my car off to work as i didnt had time to pick it up.1 week later one of my friend informed me that the tail lights are not working. I went to Hanks again and they fixed it without any fuss.this was my 2nd time working with them. and if theres ever a 3rd time, i know i am going back to them!Thanks guys. you are a great team!!!

I took my wife's F150 into the body shop. Not only was I greeted promptly, but I also was assisted throughout the process. They helped me get rental car, and kept me in the loop the whole time. If I am ever in need for another fix, they will be the first place I call! Thanks Joe, Chris and Dayle!

still damage to drivers side near bumper, went to pick up on 17 feb my bumper and license plate are in the back the drivers side bed rail plastic is gouged from the bumper so have to drive home in dark without rear license plate and bumper. still waiting on tire and rim, headlight. paint looks ok, truck is still dirty from weather dont want to wash it and have paint peel or some other problem. truck was not cleaned in side rusty bumper bolts and plate were on my carpet haven't checked but was probably charged for a "corna cleanse" what bull sh#t, after market bumper and they won't fix told me i have to do that myself, so do I get their shop rate to fix my bumper myselfso Hanks used to be a great shop but since Lithia got ahold of it, all down hill now in customer serviceServices: Tires, Painting, Body & Trim

Absolutely the only place I take my vehicles for brand new like body work. Hank, gone for a little bit now, is exemplified in his two sons, who maintain his same standards of quality repairs the first time. I had a plastic piece come off, and i swear the guy who did that, was taken in back and severely lashed and drawn and quartered. Jk, but he wasn't gonna do that mistake again, I'm sure. Thank you Lithia for taking the time to give me my vehicle back in perfect condition. Took a liitle time to get vehicle back but realized it was because of a previous wreck before i bought it, frame was bent.Lithia straightened it at no cost so things would fit back together properly. Worth the wait to be done right.

I found Hanks to be very dependable and very honest. Herb did a thorough job from estimate to completion and provide a realistic timeframe for the work that was done. After trying two other body shops in Billings that had questionable ethics and shoddy workmanship, I would put Hanks as one of the better body shops in town.

Best bodyshop in Billings - friendly knowledgeable staff! I wouldn't trust my vehicles to any other repair facility! Just had PDR work done on my Terrain and couldn't be happier with the finished product!

I have many vehicles repaired by Hanks Body Shop since 1973 and have had excellent service, truly resolved all issues with the repair and new parts on every count. the paint job was absolutely perfect on each one. i even changed the color of my first car and they did a wonderful job. would recommend them to everyoneI SEE A COUPLE OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON THIS SITE. OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE NOT REALLY REFERRING TO HANKS BODY SHOP. THEY DO NOT DO QUICK FIX BODY REPAIRS AT ALL. THEY DO NOT CHANGE PAINT COLORS. THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS AND DO TOP OF THE LINE WORK AND ARE RESPECTED BY ALL OF THEIR COMPETITORS. DON'T KNOW WHY THESE PEOPLE THAT WILL NOT IDENTIFY THEMSELVES PUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS DOWN BUT I KNOW THEY ARE NOW TRUE AT ALL. I HAVE HAD BETWEEN 12 AND 16 VEHICLES THROUGHOUT MY LIFE GO TO HANKS BODY SHOP DUE TO DINGS, ACCIDENTS, ETC AND NEVER HAS THE WORK BEEN UNSATISFACTORY, TAKEN TOO LONG, OR CHARGED TOO MUCH.
