I have trusted Don and his crew with my families vehicles since 2014. He is honest and does a great job communicating when things need fixed NOW and when something can wait another couple thousand miles. No pressure! Give them a try and you will see what I mean.

I have had a variety of work done at 3rd Avenue Auto from minor repairs to engine changes. Two things I revere when trusting my vehicles to a shop are honesty and skill. 3rd Ave Auto possesses them both.

I was quoted at about $1000 for a job they did for $500ish. They called and said there was substantial damage and fixed it for a total of $686. And when I told them it was an Emergency- they fixed it on the same day without me having an appointment. Plus, when I googled the average price for the work they did it came back much higher. They do good honest work and I will have a hard time trusting another mechanic after coming here. 10/10 recommend. 5 stars all day long.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Thoughtful, generous, and honest. I rolled into town on a road trip with a bad AC. Without my having to say much, the two gentlemen could tell my car could use an assessment asap. It was the quickest help I've received in any situation car- or other service-related. Turns out the problem is serious enough to warrant repair when the time comes, but they reassured me it wasn't serious enough to keep me from the trip.Folks'll be lucky to come to them in case of urgency.Service: Air conditioning

Everyone I have interacted with here were very friendly, knowledgable and efficient. When I needed a new alternator they had my car in and out within a day when every other shop said it would be three or four days. They don't talk down to you and are happy to answer questions. Highly recommend!

I'm sorry to write this review, because when I first moved into town and brought my car here, I liked the service. However, twice I have set up an appointment and they didn't have it on the books. I live two hours away. The first time I made an appointment a week in advance. I arrived on the day, and they didn't have my appointment on their calendar and they were fully booked and couldn't take me. I decided to give them another try and called 2 weeks in advance for the next appointment. However, this time, I decided to call ahead a day in advance to confirm the appointment. They didn't have it on their calendar. Though the woman on the phone said they'd work me in, of course I couldn't imagine trying them again.

I took my car here to get worked on and I was more than happy with the results! Great customer service, and great prices! Everywhere else wanted to charge me an arm and a leg, but 3rd Ave Auto was very reasonable with their prices! Thank you crew for your awesome work!

Most honest mechanic I have EVER met. He doesn't charge through the roof either! He will fix it right, whatever it is. He's worried about the customer and their car running well, more than his wallet. This is what gives him so many loyal customers in the long run. You are guaranteed he will not to fix anything just to fix something. He will find the problem and not try to sell you every additional unnecessary service to rack up your bill. I live down in Colorado now and have taken my car up to Billings just for him to diagnose and fix. Other members of my family have done the same. Sure wish my car now was driveable or that I could tow it up to him. It would definitely be worth the hassle and money to transport it if I could. You will never settle for any other mechanic!

They are honest, straight up and decent about what they do! I've been to at LEAST a dozen other auto repair businesses since 1998. Until they sell out or retire??? I am NEVER going anywhere else AGAIN!!!

What can I say? Very happy with the service I recieved. Don is not only a nice man but is very honest and resonable. Wont be taking my vehicles anywhere else but here. I recommend 3rd Ave Auto to any and all.

They fixed my exhaust manifold for a reasonable price and a few months later on our second vehicle, they gave advice over the phone and saved us several hundred dollars on a repair.
