Before I start I don't normally leave reviews But this Shop went over and beyond to get me back on the road! I Just recently started my own company and had my truck break down on a Friday I must have called 20 other places before finding CMC Diesel, They are the only one that offered to even look at the truck then went out of there way to track down the quickest and best option for parts got the parts worked on the truck until 9:17 pm on Saturday! Very friendly Front desk staff and the man the myth the legend the owner very friendly respectful individual cannot thank them enough for working the way they did to get me out on the road 10 out of 10 recommend this shop you can't ask for better people or better service!!!

Clay in his crew are first rate. I was traveling from Minnesota to Idaho and my super duty broke down just outside of Big Timber. Clay saved the day and made my problem much easier to handle. When he was explaining my options he had my best interests at heart. First rate guy and I highly recommend. Thanks to Clay and his team! I really appreciate how Clay takes the time to educates his customer on diesel engines. He was very open about showing me other trucks in his shop that had similar issues to mine. (very clean shop by the way) His prices are very fair and I have researched the cost for the repairs and preventative maintenence he recommended. I will be having CMC diesel do future work on my superduty. (one final edit) being a small business owner myself i checked the parts cost myself (on the parts installed on my truck) I was charged the price I would have been charged online buying direct from the manufacturer. Very rare. Typically mark up is involved. Very pleased by this.

A few years ago we were camping at Spring Creek Campground and had trouble with our truck and Clay got it into the shop and got us on our way. Now this year again, trouble with the truck(newer truck), and, again, he got it in the shop and running again in order for us to head on home. Clay and his crew took such good care of us! My daughter and I were traveling cross country and happened to break down in Big Timber, MT. Not being familiar with anyone in the area, we were a little hesitant we were going to be treated fairly. Not only did they help us with our issue, but they treated us so kindly. They worked hard to be sure we had rides around town and kept us updated on the car s status. The amount of work needed is more than we had hoped, but we feel confident in the job being done for a fair price. The staff was very helpful and we recommend their services to anyone in need.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

So we were on our way to sturgis when we woke up to low tire pressureOn our trailer. Neither truck stop in the immediate area had working air. I talked to Clay and his crew at cmc diesel and asked if he could service our tires which he gladly did. Now this might seem something small in nature but, clay and his crew had a shop full of vehicles and could of turned us away considering his air hoses were not long enough to extend outside to service a 45ft trailer. Instead the crew decided to move vehicles around however they needed to pull our trailer in just service our tires. They didn't have to do any of this but they did just to help someone in need. They didn't take a damn dime for their time even after I offered to pay them for their time. I want to thank Clay and his crew for their selfless actions. I wish more businesses had this type of work ethic towards people.Service: Auto tire replacement

Clay and the guys at CMC took really good care of my pickup. They looked it over from hood to axles and handled all of my issues without stacking the bill up over my head. I trust these guys fully, and will certainly be going back in the future. Good, honest mechanics who know their diesels. Even got a t-shirt out of the deal. Highly recommend

Let's face it - nobody really wants to break down and have to be towed to an auto repair shop, especially if you're from out of state. CMC Diesel listen to us as an customers, and was honest and genuine. Clay and his staff empathize with us, and truly understand where we were coming from. They listen to us as an customer in need, and went above and beyond for us. CMC Diesel kept us in the loop about what's going on with their vehicle and the parts arrival times. We were 900 miles from home and we were treated like we were in our hometown. We made some amazing friends, there workmanship was top notch, and they were very fair on the pricing and labor! This is a 5 star PLUS shop! Thank you again Clay, Roger, Billy, and Mason! You guys are the BEST!!

We had the best experience given the stressful circumstances of breaking down on the interstate outside Big Timber Montana. Fortunately, we chose CMC Diesel to work on our truck. Clay was fantastic! Honest, helpful, professional and an extremely knowledgeable technician! Our truck was towed to CMC and repaired. We were in Big Timber for 8 days. Clay and Melissa went out of their way to make sure our stay in Big Timber was pleasant. People talk about Minnesota nice but it can't compare to Montana nice! Clay kept us informed on the repair process and went above and beyond what would normally be expected! Clay, Melissa and Billy were exceptional. Clay and his crew are TOP NOTCH! I came in on a Friday afternoon, and they went the extra mile to get me in and out, even staying after hours. I will gladly echo the previous reviews and say they were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. It is always a blessing to run into honorable folks when you are in a bind, being from out of town! Thank you CMC Diesel!!

I will be be bringing my diesel problems from Billings to CMC from now on! Both of my batteries and alternator were shot. I made it to Clay's shop. They had me in and out in 30 minutes! Fair price great service!

Awesome shop! Hands down people best shop for diesel pickups! They care about you and go out of their way to help you. We was traveling with our Chevy pulling a heavly loaded trailer and had issues. we found this shop on google maps. We pulled in with no notice, the owner Clay came out n looked at it, had us pull it into the shop they dropped everything and to fix it right then and got us back going to finish our trip. We will be back when ever we need work done on our truck. Thank you guys for everything!!!

When you're stranded on the road you might feel like you're screwed and going to be stuck there that is unless you give cmc a call, these guys do a fantastic job with emergency repairs and get you back on the road fast. I personally broke down on my way home and if these guys weren't there for me I would've never made it home that day. The work crew is extremely knowledgeable with anything you throw at them so if you are ever in trouble give these guys a call!Services: Transmission, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Air conditioning

Good service, clay was very honest about what he felt needed done to my 06 cummins. Only down side was i couldn't afford to let them do the work, but if I did then cmc is my first choice location. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

By far the best experience, knowledgeable Techs that know what they are doing. They get it done right the first time. Extraordinary customer service. Willing to go above and beyond to help the customer. If you have a diesel truck and need any work done this team is by far the ones to use . Hands down the best I have ever been too.

Unbelievable customer service!! These people rescued me on a day when I was scared and had no idea where to turn because I'm not from the area and noticed a problem with my brakes while filling up nearby. They found a way to fit me in right away and were honest with me when there was very little to be done, though they could easily have done more and charge me a ton. They even invited my daughter and pets and I in to wait in comfort because it was hot and we had no place to go. I VERY highly recommend them for any kind of auto repair!

Easily one of the best people and buisnesses I've ever worked with! No do doubt !!! I ended up in the roughest situation of my life for 2 years and these guys worked with me the entire time process. Letting me make payments to get my truck repaired after financial and really severe medical issues. Just picked up my truck and they got her running like shes off the lot !!! Cant say enough about the CNC diesel team, they're the best at what they do !!!!!!

Good folks who are extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Our Ford F250 Superduty started leaking coolant all over I-90. Had it towed to CMC Diesel and Clay and his crew had us back on the road a few hours later.... most of that time was spent getting the part needed delivered from Billings. Cant say enough great things about em! People who know their stuff and genuinely care about their customers. Big thanks from these traveling Okies!!

You need your diesel truck repaired? Hands down the best customer service, knowledge and professionalism. On vacation staying locally for a few days. Had a problem Friday at 5:00 PM (FICM on 6.0 Power Stroke). I called and was answered. Had me come in on Saturday. Diagnosed the problem. Had the part overnighted on Monday and installed on Tuesday by noon. I live in Oregon, but if I need any significant work done to my truck and can make it to his shop, I'll be driving to Big Timber.Well done. Thank you CMC Diesel.MikeService: Electrical repair

Excellent work, fast turnaround. I called Clay when I had a man with DEF problems on the road in his area, and CMC got him right in, fixed up, and on the road again, fast! I will definitely continue to send business to CMC.

I can't recommend Clay enough. He was so knowledgeable and incredibly transparent and up front about what was happening with my truck. He physically showed me everything he was doing, could explain what was happening really clearly and got things running well for me.

This business in Big Timber Montana is a jewel!I had a rear seal leak in the engine in my Dodge 2500 diesel.Clay and his employees got me back on the road in one day. I didn t have an appointment but they got me in and fixed the leak.This job involves removing the transmission and the 4 wheel drive transfer case as well as the flywheel. A big job!They recognized me as a stranded soul and went the extra mile to get me going.I ve added another 450 miles since, no leaks.Thank you Clay, Melissa, Thad and Billy, you do things right!Charles

Started out on a camping trip get the big temper my water pump radiator radiator pluchfan all this stuff goes out this guy is this guy that owns this shop the shop was old school like do everything on a handshake nice guy has it done the next day Saved my camping trip his office gown name Ashley is supernice supernice these people are true montanans! Would go back to this amazing shop anytime thanks for filmy truck and saving my camping trip

I took the wife 's plastic car (Honda Pilot) in to find a bad rattle in the front end. The CMC crew had the parts in as soon as they arrived . I appreciated the prompt service. The rattle is gone. Thanks

My alternator went out 5 miles outside of big timber, I was so lucky to find this awesome shop. They had the parts in town and replaced it within 1.5 hours. Amazing service!
