Great guys, great work, very reasonable prices. Super trustworthy and genuinely kind people. I thought I needed a clutch replacement for my Subaru outback, but after they assessed it, they assured me I did not; they didn't try to take advantage of me/an opportunity to make a lot of money on an expensive but unnecessary labour job. Matt is always helpful and transparent. And they try to be as accommodating as possible. They're pretty busy, so you might have to wait a week to get your car in the shop, but that's because everyone likes them so much!

Took my 2016 Chevy Suburban to Matt. It has been to a few different dealers and was charged plenty for no fix on my breaks. I was recommended Torque by a neighbor. Little connection but knew my neighbor was an honest helpful person. I m so glad I listened to his recommendation. I finally got a resolution. Matt was honest and saved me from further frustration. It s not too often you find honest work with 110% quality work. I would recommend Torque to any and all.

Matt and his staff are OUTSTANDING!! They get my vehicle in in a timely manner. They are friendly and straightforward while quick to also get my vehicle out of the shop. I'm a returning customer and share his information with anyone who needs a car shop.

Mike is probably one of the nicest people ever. Very accommodating! I trust they will do good work on my car and not overcharge. This is definitely the spot I will be bringing my car for any future business

Best experience yet. They were very flexible by keeping my truck and doing work on it while I was out of country and completely resolved the issue it was having. Very professional shop as well. They took a significant amount of time to talk to me about possibilities about what was going on on the phone. Being a woman, I have had negative experiences at shops and this one was not one of them. Only notable downside was that they did not contact my contact person to ask about doing the work prior to doing it, but was possibly miscommunication beforehand about the plan since I was gone.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Torque is my go to place if I need anything or if I have any questions about how my car is running. I just went to Torque Auto for the first time to have my vehicle's 100,000 mile maintenance, and they were excellent. Matt was super helpful and accommodating with an issue that came up, and they did a great job explaining everything and what my different options were. I also liked that their waiting room was nice and had good wifi- very important if you are stuck waiting for a bit! I was really happy with their service and I will definitely use Torque Auto again.Service: Auto maintenance

Matt and his professional group of mechanics are the shop to go to in the Gallatin Valley - I will not take my vehicles to anyone else. They are very knowledgeable and spot-on with their estimates. They always perform a thorough inspection of my vehicle to get an accurate estimate of the repair. They have always matched (or have even been under) their estimate for total cost and time. I have been going to Torque Auto Repair for about 10 years now, for all my automotive ailments. Torque covers it all. Matt and his crew are great. They are helpful, knowledgeable, informative, fair and honest. They offer free quotes and always do a thorough job. They don't cut corners and they treat your vehicle as if it were their own. I highly recommend Torque Auto Repair for all your repair needs.

I had originally made an online appointment with Torque but found out the online app wasn t working correctly and the guys didn t have me on the books when I showed up. Matt told me they were three weeks out, but worked some magic and fit me within few days. Their estimate for the repair to replace my windshield washer pump on my pickup was right on and they got me back on the road within a couple of hours. I definitely will go back to them for future repairs. Other than the mix up with the online appointment, the service was excellent.

I bought a 1977 Ford Ranger that needed new brakes and the guys at this shop were awesome. They spent a lot of time talking to me on the phone about the vehicle and were really great. I have been to other auto mechanics and I ve never had such good service. 10/10 would recommend!

My car had been checked at 2 other facilities prior to going to Torque Auto. Neither of the first 2 diagnostics made any sense and I was given estimates ranging from $1200-$2000. It only took Matt a short drive and inspection to identify the problem which was affecting my brakes and engine. Now for less than $300 both problems will be solved. I highly recommend Torque as the team was very knowledgeable, efficient, and affordable.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Matt at Torque Auto is my go-to mechanic. He s honest and capable and he has my trust when it comes to auto repair issues. I do most of my own maintenance, including semi-complex repairs. Recently I needed the timing system repaired on a 2014 Ford Explorer Sport. It was just something I didn t want to deal with. Matt and his guys finished the job in a couple of days and the Explorer is running like new again. Thanks Matt!Service: Engine repair

Howdy! I was concerned about my Transmission which is why I brought my 2000 Forrester in. Matt had his Man giver her a test run but he didn t see any issue, but then I asked them to check out my A/c because it was blowing warmish air. Now it s all good! And way lower in price than I expected for the area. Also I really appreciated how considerate and understanding of what I was trying to explain Matt was! I m going to have them replace a wheel bearing in a few weeks. Cheers

Every time that I have come in to Torque, the guys have been nothing but awesome. I lived in Bozeman, but it was well worth the drive to get work done at this shop. The first time I came to them was in 2016, when I had the clutch go out on my dodge neon. I called two days before Thanksgiving, and they got me in the next day, the DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving. Just to get me on the road to see family. Since then, I had always been loyal to them, and they always do great work. Recently, I moved out of state (on memorial day weekend), and the Tuesday night before the weekend, I had gotten a punctured oil pan, putting my car out of commission right before a move. I called around on Wednesday, and was able to get a new pan overnighted to town. I called Matt at Torque and he was able to get my car in on Thursday and back out to me on Friday under emergency circumstances. The price is right, and the value is truly unbeatable. TL;DR Matt and his team at Torque Auto are incredible people, and I truly wish I could still use them for all my mechanic work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

I don't normally leave reviews but Torque does such an amazing job I had to! Couple years back I was looking for a local mechanic in bozeman area after trying several shops (being overcharged and confused) my coworker recommended Torque and I've never looked back! Matt is always so helpful and knowledgeble, as are all their mechanics! They give so much information and explain things to a car illiterate person like myself. When they diagnose a problem they know exactly how to fix it (unlike other shops playing guess work and then charging you and arm and leg for it) and give you the best advice possible. They truly care about their customers and want to help the best way they can - even it that means recommending another service or squeezing you in for a quick look over. I trust them wholeheartedly with any of my vehicles! And they are decently priced and try to save you money by giving the best customer service possible. A local shop once gave me an estimate on my bfs car and after speaking w Torque they saved us hundreds of dollars. I took in my 2001 Hyundai Tiburon for brakes and rotors the crew did a great job repairing the car. Ran into a hiccup with barring/hub assembly (which would explain why the left front sounded like a train wheel thumping on the tracks)but they kept in contact with me to let me know how much it was and that the turn around time would be a little longer as they had to order out for the parts. They got me in earlier than the other shops, I thought the price was fair, everyone was professional and in good spirits. I m glad I went to Torque Auto Repair it would have turned into a nightmare if I would have done the work myself, thank you so much definitely going back to get more work done. Matt provided awesome service and complete transparency, which when getting work done on your car, is extremely important to me. He went above and beyond my expectations whether it was keeping me informed of the progress and explaining why the issue might have occurred and how it works. Torque always does a great job with whatever you need done. They're my number one go to mechanic, I've been using them for years, and I won't use any other place. The owner is a super nice guy, all the employees are very respectable professional and they get done what needs to be done in a timely fashion. Matt was incredibly helpful. I brought my Subaru to him without knowing what the issue was that was causing my dash lights to come on and the car to shift strangely. He identified the problem quickly, clearly explained my options to me, and had everything fixed on time. Matt was very professional and friendly and I plan to come back to Torque for any future car needs.

I have taken my truck here for multiple repairs. Every visit they remember me, treat me with respect, and are happy to answer any of my questions to understand more about the repair (what the part to be fixed is, how it functions, why it matters and what I can do to care for it/be aware of any other issues that arise).I will continue to take my vehicle and all future vehicles to Torque Auto Repair. The quality of repairs, customer service and realistic prices will have me returning every time.
