Excellent service! I had a scary moment where several lights came on all at once, indicating transmission issues. Mike made the time to look at my car, diagnose, and replace the valve body within hours. I got my car back in full working condition the SAME DAY! It drives beautifully and I will certainly be returning in the future! Mike, you took a very stressful situation, showed us compassion, and got our family back on track. We cannot thank you enough!

Excellent shop, will definitely be back with any car issues! Mike is very trustworthy and it was quickly evident he wasn't pushing anything unnecessary and was very honest with his assessment of my vehicle. I feel lucky to have found Holler Subaru Repair!

Mike was very easy to work with and thorough. I was able to get my 2006 Subaru Tribeca to him on the same day, and I was back driving it the following evening. Running great again!

Too many awesome things to say about Mike and his amazing shop. I ve known mike for years and he s always prepared to get down and dirty no matter the task at hand, he s super helpful, knowledgeable and doesn t overcharge or suggest things to be fixed that are fine or shouldn t be attended too. I ve got an 01 Outback and he s helped get this rig running like new, for a project car it s nothing perfect but driving it feels like new. I would highly suggest not only cause of how helpful he his but also because he can get you in and out of the shop in a day (depending on what s worked on) Great guy, Great service, Great prices!Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

Mike is a true professional. I purchased a 2005 Forester from a friend, who had received quotes from Mike on some repairs. He honored the pricing he quoted, fixed the issues he identified, and now my vehicle runs like new. He knows what he's doing and goes above & beyond for his customers. Can't recommend Mike enough!

Excellent in every way. Got me in and my car fixed immediately. True to estimate, no bogus hidden charges. I highly recommend. Not enough space to properly say how happy I am with this shop. This is the place when your Subaru is sick

10 out of 10. I purchased a transmission from a trusted 3rd party with the intent to install it my self, unfortunately i did not have adequate time. after calling Holler Auto i was able to drop of the car with transmission driving it away same day.Thank you for all that you do

Wonderfully competent, detailed, and honest. We had a wonderful experience with Holler Auto after having a NIGHTMARE experience with Righty Tighty (a 1-star type of place). Previously we had our vehicle serviced regularly with Wade at RMS, since retired. We relied on positive reviews and took our car for an oil change at Righty Tighty, asked them to look at A/C, and were stunned at a $360+ bill (they never asked prior to "re-charging" A/C, at an absurd cost). That wasn't the worst. We picked up our vehicle after hours and upon starting the car had ALL dashboard lights on and indicating additional problems. On top of that, they didn't fill our washer fluid, didn't notice or replace a brake light, and also refused any accountability. In addition, they stated that our brakes were on the final 10% and in desperate need of being replaced (at $1000).Enter Holler Auto Repair. Mike quickly made time for us to get our vehicle looked at, made a quick diagnosis, and was able to complete all necessary repairs in the same afternoon. We checked with other local shops including the dealer, and his quote was more than fair (using Subaru parts). He also was happy to top off fluids, replaced the brake light, and gave an accurate measurement of life left on the brakes in mm (indicating at least 2 more years of brake life).I am happy to have found Holler Auto, wished I had discovered them 1 shop sooner, and will look forward to having Mike do any future necessary work on our car.Thanks for the great care!

Out of town and within 3 hours of holler auto for a few months, we had a slow leak on our foresters radiator. Contacted mike to get it swapped out and he was quick to book an opening that aligned with my work schedule. Great service and communicative the whole process. Took my 09 Impreza to Mike after the clutch quit working. He was quick to diagnose the problem and give me quote on how much it would be to fix.I asked about the overall quality of the car and if it would be worth the fix. He took the time to thoroughly inspect my vehicle and also found an oil pressure sensor that was leaking oil (got quoted at dealership for leaky head gasket at $2800, Mike fixed it for $250). Never felt like I was being taken advantage of and it was one of the best mechanic experiences I ve had.Scooby is also an amazing dog

Seriously the only mechanic I will ever take my Subi to! They are so knowledgeable and trustworthy! They are my go-to for regular Subaru maintenance as well as more complicated problems. I needed some body work done and they helped me find the lowest prices possible for parts (before and after in the pictures). Now it s like a brand new car! So thankful to have such a great mechanic!

Very impressed by Mike, was given his name by a coworker and was not disappointed. I've been looking for a good Subaru mechanic in the valley for a long time, and Mike knocked it out of the park. I just got a rear set of brakes replaced and an oil change on my 09 forester, Mike was very professional and quick to get me back on the road in a very timely manner, and he even went above and beyond by giving my serpentine belt a tighten and using parts i already had on hand, what a guy! Will definitely be stopping by if I need anything while in the area.

Great experience every step of the way. Answers the phone, which I couldn t get Righty Tighty to do once over the months I ve been trying, even left them voicemails. So that alone was huge. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Fair prices. Quick to get our car in. We got charged $2000 to do the repair Mike recommended and the car is not fixed. Mike was unwilling to refund any amount and we don't feel it was an honest job. We wouldn't recommend him to anyone.***For $700 more we were able to get a whole transmission installed but were talked out of it by Mike saying "99% of the time the valve body is the issue." He had an opportunity to drive the car to get a better understanding but simply moved it back and forth before saying the valve body is at fault. As for the invoice we signed as "proof to consenting for the repair", we were given a small signature box on his phone after the service at the time of payment. He gave us no paperwork to read over and certainly didn't mention it would be used against us to justify his poor judgement. Save your time and money and go to a more reputable mechanic.Service: Transmission

Honestly, the best experience I've had with a mechanic to date. Mike got me in within the same week I contacted him and replaced my head gasket and timing belt within two days. He was awesome to work with and didn't try to convince me to replace anything that wasn't needed. Without a doubt the best Subaru Mechanic in the greater Bozeman area. We have a small collection of Subarus and there isn't a mechanic I would trust more. Mike has consistently demonstrated his expertise and professionalism, with an impressive knowledge of Subaru mechanics without ever up charging you. I generally post nothing online, but Mike's work forces me to do so. Honest, On-Time, (much shorter leadtime) and always there. I've brought my car to him a few times in the last four years, and after the first visit, NEVER a doubt about what and who I am dealing with. Recently, he advised me to take the car somewhere else as he was concerned he may not be able to diagnose correctly...(it's a very specialized car...custom tuned... I did so with reluctance) He knows his limits, although I think there are none. He should get the 25 stars he deserves from me.

Got the runaround from the dealership trying to charge me upwards of 5 thousand for unneeded repairs. They claimed I had the wrong engine in my vehicle and therefore couldn't fix my ac. Thankfully left for a second opinion and Mike got me in and out in about a half hour, diagnosed a missing belt tensioner and gave me one he had in his shop. He then got fresh belts delivered, swapped em out and I was on the road with crispy ac. Stand up dude highly recommended; affordable and up front. Doing a good job of changing mechanic culture, previously worked at the dealership and left for obvious reasons.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Mike has the rare combination of qualities everyone wants in an engine mechanic. Professional, personable, timely and knowledgeable. Mike is an incredible mechanic! I was traveling through the area when I needed a head gasket replaced on my Subaru. Mike was able to fit me in when everywhere else in town was booked for weeks. He went above and beyond to get my Suabru back up and running, even tracking down an additional part that we didn't anticipate needing and he still finished by the time he quoted me!
