Fred s is a great trustworthy place to get your auto repaired. Great staff, very knowledgeable and always takes time to solve problems. It is hard to find the professionalism Fred s demonstrates. I appreciate the entire team and work they do.

Service Tech Josh is amazing! He is always up front and honest! Had a truck in there that would not pass the emissions test. He tried a few things to get it to pass. Then he said it would cost 3 - 5k to fix it. But then told me that there is a one time exception that MO does. He pointed me in the right direction to get that approval. I submitted the paperwork to the State and the next day I had the exception letter from the State! I can't thank him enough! Instead of telling me the only way to pass it was to fix it, he told me about the exception and how to to do it. Thanks again Josh!

My van is not just the taxi for my family of 6 but also often times my office as an entrepreneur. I was having trouble with a strange sound and feeling anytime I would turn. Fred s not only fixed the problem in a timely manner, but was reasonably priced and had a friendly staff to work with. I m thankful to have Fred s for car care, and refer everyone and anyone to them when I can!

My family and I have been going to Fred s for a long time and every time it is professional, quality and above all, an honest service solution. I m very particular about my 2014 Corvette and 2019 CTS. Once my cars are off factory warranty, I wouldn t take them anywhere but Fred s.

I was traveling with my kids and my car broke down in Wentzville. The owner of Fred s, though booked solid, went out of his way to help a crazy/crying me feel better and also helped get my car fixed and back on the road! I cannot fully express how thankful I am that I found this place! They were a true answer to prayers!!! I would give ten stars if I could!

I would highly recommend Fred s to anyone looking for a car repair. Recently had a timing belt replaced and they did a great job and had the price in town! Their customer service was exceptional!

My experience as a former technician and manager myself was wonderful they diagnosed the problem to exactly what I thought it Was gave me a reasonable estimate which I approved they got parts in a reasonable time and finished the repair as scheduled

This is without a doubt, the best auto body shop and group of mechanics I've ever met! I cannot say enough how wonderful they were to me. They went above and beyond to rectify my car problems and my husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about this group. Over that time, we've never experienced anything but above-and-beyond customer service, quality craftsmanship, convenience of use (in an industry not always known for it), reliable information and suggestions about our vehicles, and a friendly/inviting shop environment.The folks at Fred s can handle most any mechanical issue you may have. When we have need for their services, we always feel that we ve received excellent value in exchange for our hard-earned dollars.

I cannot recommend these guys enough!! I have been going to the Wentzville location for over 15 years and have had nothing but great experiences every time. I feel they are truly honest, personable, and extremely friendly every time I take my car in. Brian, Josh, and JR always call to let me know what's going on with my car when they have had the chance to assess it and they explain in detail what parts are needed and why. They let me know in advance when I might need to have a repair done in the upcoming months or year. One of the best experiences I have had is when I needed work performed and it was going to be >$600 at Freds but they informed me there was a recall on my car and if I took it to Hyundai, it would cost me nothing. It is on me as the owner of my car to know this information and I never would have if they hadn't told me. In this instance, Fred's saved me >$600 by notifying me of this recall. Typically I need to schedule out an appointment a week or two in advance which is sometimes challenging but when you see the best in the business, you are likely going to have a bit of a wait. Thanks guys for always taking great care of my car and for the phenomenal customer service for >15 years.

Amazing price. Best service anywhere. Honest people at both locations (Wentzville & St. Charles). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I ve taken all 3 of my cars here. Appointment is needed! Ask about their rewards program.

I am a single woman who knows little about car repair...At Fred's, not only do I feel respected, I feel like the guys are educating me. I have never once felt like I was being talked down to, or dismissed.I will NEVER go to any other repair shop for a car I own...when the guys go out of their way to help you, speak plainly, and offer advice...what can be better for a customer?Thank you Dennis and all of the guys at Fred's in Wentzville for being gentlemen and for doing great work!

Worst Auto shop around. Was there about 4x this year for the same problem that never got fixed. They overprice and scam people. They tried to charge a college student $730 for exhaust leak. The part needed was under $100 at a nearby shop. It took me about an hour to install it myself. So where was I being charged extra for? Scammers. I took it there first time for $680 thinking it was going to be fixed but they just installed a exhaust but didn t let me know under recommended services that the exhaust leak was still there and the manifold needed to be fixed. Absolutely scammers and should be ashamed to over charge a college student this much. I tell them my frustrations with the amount of inconvenience caused and they argued with me the whole time. Then when I found out the part was cheap, I asked them for a quote and they said $730 .. I lost my mind, this whole time I trusted them to be a reasonable and understanding shop but absolutely scammers and this new management is absolutely terrible. I beg people to not go to this shop and be smart and find a better one. Biggest mistake was trusting these guys.Service: Exhaust

Stop going to the chains for car repair, this should be your new mechanic. They re knowledgeable, do great work, and are efficient. They are a family owned business and for once a mechanic shop you can trust. Since I started going to Fred s, my parents, brother-in-law, and brother have started going here and love it. There aren t enough stars to give them. We had a major issue with our car. They suggested that we call the dealer to see if there was an extended warranty for our issue. There was. They saved us thousands. They are honest and I would highly recommend them.

Recently found this gem of a place and man am I glad I did. Extremely professional and honest which to me is nearly impossible to find in any car repair shop. They don t give you the run around and list a hundred other things that need repaired that really don t. Take your vehicles here!! You will not regret it! Have gone to Fred s for a while, needed a turbo charger replaced and they were my first call. They said the repair was going to be $3200, so I went for a second quote from another local shop and it was about $1500 less. When I told them that they mentioned I might be getting a non-factory part from them, etc. to try to persuade me to stay with them. Long story short, the part I received was a new GM part from the other shop, and it was significantly cheaper. Nothing personal against this shop, just protect yourself as a consumer and get a second quote.Service: Auto maintenance
