I like the people there and they seem to be very fair. I enjoy bringing my car in and visiting while I'm waiting for it to get done. Reminds me of the good old days. I grew up in a small town and this reminds me of exactly the service and the politeness I've got.

Great place to get to get your vehicle repaired if that's what you need. Also one of the last full service gas stations left. The employees are nice and also willing to help out. I go here for all my vehicle needs.

This is a FULL SERVICE STATION! Yes, they pump your gas and shop suppliers to keep the prices competitive. Yes, they will check fluids, etc. if you ask. They bring fresh donuts each morning and have hot coffee, free to customers. All of this is great service! It doesn t stop there. They do state inspections. They are mechanics and will help you figure out problems, and then, if you choose, fix them. If they can t fix them, they will refer you. You may need to make an appointment for repairs, because they will offer cost options BEFORE they order the parts. That is great service! My car was diagnosed recently to need an alternator. It was not delivering the proper voltage to the battery. They tested it in my presence. When they replaced it, there was still an issue. Further investigation revealed that i only needed a battery. (Korean cars have different voltage! We all learned something.) My bill greatly diminished and i was out of there in less than two hours, with my old alternator and a new battery. That is great service!

I brought my truck in ended up had serious brake issues 631.00 bill. They somehow broke a wheel but found one and didn't charge me for it. It seemed to be real friendly legit place the parents who work there were nice and came and got me from Crocker because it wasn't ready when supposed to be because of the wheel. I gave him $20 for gas. They told me I needed one tire badly so I took it to Walmart where they informed me the downtown shop torqued my tire bolt and had take it back there. I called and informed them and they started giving me the run around and a army guy took my phone and stood up for me and Willy said he'd get it loose for me. I brought it back in to their shop and they looked at it and then parked it out front. No explanation I waited over a hour and finally asked could you not get it loose ? They blamed Walmart and said they have cameras and paperwork to prove they didn't torque it. That was a lie and I tried telling him I can't drive unsafe on that tire and he needed to man up admit mistake and just fix it. I explained to the mother I was getting fed up and another family member proceeded to insult me and make rude comments and just push it back in my face. I told him he was disrespectful to women and he continued to argue in front of customers. I was just trying to stick up for myself because they were last ones to touch it and it was torqued when I took it to put on a tire. I told them I am going to sue you . It's the principle of the matter and way I was treated for his error. Luckily Big O tires broke off the lugnut for free and all I had to pay was put on the tire. Just a shame I had really liked going there. Your only good as your word and in the end mechanic is dishonest.

So grateful for Mark at the Downtown service station. My son is coming back from his duty station in Korea and I couldn t get his vehicle started. Mark made a house call and got the vehicle running. His prices are very fair and service is exceptional!! Definitely recommend!

I had my plugs replaced on a 2014 Toyota tundra 5.7 liter V8. It only took approximately 1 hour and cost for labor was $105.00. I m really impressed with their service. I definitely recommend them for any repairs under the hood or tire/brake repair. Service date Feb 5, 2024

These crooks just charged my gf an extra $38 labor for her oil change. To change out a drain plug in her oil pan because they said it was stripped. If it was stripped before you got there it seems like there would have been an oil leak problem before it got there. Thanks for stripping the threads on my drain plug. Will be informing friends and family of your business practices

We took our 2006 Jeep Liberty in for brake work. We just could not figure out the problem. Mark found the issue and had it back to us as soon as possible. He also saved us hundreds over what any other shop would have charged. We will be taking our vehicles there when repairs are needed. What a great group of folks there!

Awesome, reasonable and helpful people. You won't find a better price on your auto work! Nostalgic place of business. One of the oldest gas stations on route 66!

Honest and friendly people. My tires were almost due to be replaced when I got a nail in one of them. I measured the treads and knew I had a little time and wanted to stretch to get brand new tires closer to winter.. Walmart said the nail was too close to the sidewalk, but here's a quote for 4 new tires. Big On tires said the treads were too worn, won't even rotate them, but here's a quote for 4.new tired. Went to Downtown, who patched my tire and got my.tire order 3 weeks later. BTW they also gave me the best price in town as well. Highly recommend.

They always treat me with open arms and respect even though I'm mechanically ignorant. Will is probably one of the best mechanics in the area and they will fix you up!

This place has full service. They will check your fluids, clean your windshield and pump your gasoline. They have a car wash that I use from time to time that is reasonably priced. I also frequent there because it is a locally owned business, I went to HS with one of the owners. They are very friendly.

On Saturday, September 15, 2018 I went to this service station after calling to see if they could change a bulb in my rear right light because my blinker stopped working. The owner changed my bulb and charged me $5 plus $1.5o for a soda. He came inside the station where I was waiting and dangled my keys in front of me saying, "You got bigger problems." I asked him what he meant and he said that he had replaced the bulb but my right signal still wasn't working. He told me the person who does the wiring wasn't in that day.Today, September 26, 2018 I went to Action Automotive where I had made an appointment last week to have my right rear light checked. I told them the bulb had already been replaced. They gave me the bulb the mechanic took out of my rear right light and told me it was the wrong bulb. The bulb was burned black. I did not see the owner of the Downtown Service Station change my bulb. He just told me he did. Action Automotive replaced the bulb and gave me the one they took out, and my right turn signal now works.I went back to the Downtown Service Station and spoke to who I now know is the owner of that station and the person who changed my bulb on Saturday, September 15. I showed him the bulb and my receipt from the Downtown Service Station. He wanted to see the receipt from Action Automotive so I showed it to him. He became very angry. He said I caused the bulb to be burned out. He refused to give me my money back, insisting he had put the right bulb in, even acknowledging that after he put it in it didn't work, claiming I had electrical problems.

By far my go-to for fuel as the prices are very competitive, if not way cheaper than with the larger fuel stations. Also get a chance to support a locally owned business.
