Scotts seem very reliable, with good service and reasonable prices. They worked on my 10 yr old auto and explained everything, did not try to do unnecessary work. I highly recommend this place.

This is the most Honest mechanic. The most trustworthy person I have ever met. He has taken care of my car for at least 23 years . Iv'e never had to complain or take my car back for anything he has worked on. Everything from oil changes to Major repairs. Recommended Highly. Very dependable should be the first number in your phone book

This shop is superb. Called last week about a front end problem I needed looked at and possibly fixed. He got me in today at 8am, he kindly called me about the problem and the cost, I agreed and he had my car back to me by 2:30p same-day. And my car rides like a Cadillac lol just kidding, but it does ride Very smooth. Thank you so much for your honesty and your service to this community.

Great experience at Scott's when I need service. I can't ever drop my car off so I have to wait. Scott has always been able to work me into his schedule, even on short notice. Decent prices as well. Scott's can be trusted. They fixed my brakes and suspension. Had a challenge due to the age of my car and the rust, but didn't charge extra. Reasonable charge and very honest. They also pointed out that the serpentine belt needed replacing (which they did replace) which I didn't think to ask them about. They also did a great job fixing our daughter's car (timing belt, etc.)Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto brake repair

I've been visiting Sunshine Automotive for some time and have spent an average of $385 a year there in repairs and routine maintenance. I'm not trying to spread negativity or disparage anyone but it's probably best to keep it to oil changes and the like.My most expensive repair went on to fail again and 2 pre-purchase inspections failed to catch fairly big red flags. I am a vehicle amateur so I'm paying for the expertise but after the most recent PPI, I looked for myself and discovered a completely corroded battery on its last leg and an alternator trying to die as well.The conclusion of that inspection was fluid change suggestions and other maintenance offers but the real problem was a failure to start in the bay. I took a multimeter to it myself to figure it out. I get that no mechanic has a crystal ball to catch all deficiencies on a potential purchase and its not their job to advise on purchases but it was $49 poorly spent.

HIghly recommend. In July of 2021, I came to Springfield to care for my mother. While here my vehicle needed an oil change. A friend recommended Scott's Sunshine Automotive so I scheduled an appointment and upon arrival the owner greeted me with a smile and was very courteous. While here, my vehicle needed some general maintenance like a transmission flush and once again the owner was very pleasant. Before heading back to MN my vehicle needed new tires so of course I called Scott's Sunshine Automotive. Each time I went there, the owner always greeted me with a smile, was very pleasant, the work was done in a timely manner and VERY affordable. I strongly recommend anyone to take their vehicle to them, especially if you are traveling and unfamiliar with auto repair/service in the area! Not sure if I left a review or not. Scott is one of the most upfront honest mechanics I know. Yes I know more about cars than the average person, but he s always treated me and my girlfriend right and has always followed through. He s quick, cheap and to the point. He offers great price and gets the job done right. Even if he doesn t get it right the first time, he will make sure it s right if you take it back in. Best mechanic in town and highly recommend.

Amazing, honest service.I had been having issues with the throttle body on my car. The car also had not had a good full service in a while. My father in law had mentioned that he thought a bearing was bad, and that I also needed my transmission serviced.I dropped my car off to Scott s with two requests: look at the throttle body, and just give the car a good look and see what you find.Sure enough, Scott s saw the throttle body issue and informed me of a recall on the part that is under warranty, and also identified the bearing and transmission issues. Hard to question their honesty when it matched perfectly with what I was told to get checked.The service was also fast and convenient.Highly recommended

Our grandson's Toyota matrix needed a new clutch. His car was not drivable when it went in for repair work. Scott's got us in within a few days and replaced the clutch at a very reasonable price. Car drives like new and so much better than the last clutch repair done four years ago. Will continue to support this shop in the future for any repairs needed while in Springfield.Service: Wheel alignment

I was quoted $530ish for a full break pad replacement and replacement of the front rotors. My car had been shaking badly after breaking from 40mph or higher. Scott not only did the work quickly, the final bill was $100 less than the quote I was given! I will be using Scott from now on. Even his quote was nearly half what firestone or other big name mechanics wanted to charge, the final bill WAS half. He is reliable, trustworthy, and skilled. I cannot recommend enough!

Scott and his team give me quality service each visit and offer suggestions to help save me money. I have a 1999 Cadillac Deville that they replaced an alternator over a year ago...works great. I have a Cadillac Escalade they replaced a airbag sensor weeks ago...works great...feeling safe....great service. They are now replacing a coil and doing a tune-up on the 1999 Deville. Must try them out. They can save you money while giving you quality workmanship.

I have used Scott's for 6 year I moved from Oklahoma to Springfield needed to find a Shop which would take care my car's and Scoot does what he needs to go with no extra. I like this type of shop so all my relatives have moved to Scott's for repair and care.

Service was fast an prompt. Kept me informed as to what was being done and what the issue was. Had my A/C back up and running and colder than ever in less than an hour.Staff was very nice and informative and is interested in you as a person not just a customer.Thanks so much Scott's

These guys did me a favor by pushing my car up in line. They accommodated the fact I was n a hurry. They were nice, fast and inexpensive. They r very organized, promptly calls u back. I would recommend servicing your vehicle here. Can't say enough good things! A+++++

Recently had a part replaced at Scott's, and will definitely return in the future. Told me what the cost would be before performing the service, and didn't attempt to upsell additional maintenance or repairs.
