I have finally found my safe place!! I learned the hard way that not all cities are created equal. I moved from a big city with a Mini & Volkswagen and it s been HELL!! I couldn t even get a SIMPLE oil change. Until I found Ricks. They are the only place in town that could change my battery and reprogram my system. They also did an oil change on my mini and the best part is they got me in the very next day, and the prices were Extremely reasonable. Not to mention they do a military discount. Soon as you walk in they greet you, there is coffee, tea and lounges with little tables while you wait. They even have an area for the little ones. They fixed my car right up and even helped my put my windshield blades on. They are THE BEST!!!Update .Had to come here a second time and was quoted less than their competitors then when service was all done they ended up charging even less because it was a simple fix. They could have said more and I would have thought it was accurate so once again they took care of me. As someone who knows nothing about cars I m always very untrusting of mechanics. But they make it easy to trust

I showed up to Rick s with my 2019 Ford transit van. Being from out of town/12 hours away I was very comforted by the professionalism and service that I received from Micah and the entire Ricks team that I dealt with. It turns out that my Ford transit blew a turbo and could not be fixed there at Rick s. Because of this, Micah went the extra mile to contact the dealer and have my van towed to the dealership and did everything he could in his power to ensure that everything was taken care of. I cannot express the amount of professionalism and customer service that I received while I was there! I wish there were more companies ran their business to the standard that Rick s runs their shop! I highly recommend this business to anyone needing automotive service in the Springfield area!

I have used Rick's previously but it has been a few years. I usually take my vehicle to the local dealership for maintenance, but my last experience with them was not positive so decided to make a change. Had a great experience with Rick's. Easy to schedule and check-in. Vehicle was completed quickly and customer service is great. Love that they are a local company also so a bonus to support them.

Rick s was absolutely amazing. Our service consultant Ryan was knowledgeable, courteous, understanding and just a great guy in general. They did excellent work and at what I know was a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

I am taking all my vehicles to Rick's Automotive from now on; I've had two great experiences with them involving my Dodge Ram Promaster cargo van. I went to the Dodge dealership and was quoted the same service for 8 times the price that Rick's Automotive charged me. Micah, customer service guy at the fleet desk was super cool to work with, as were all the clerks. Rick's has an awesome coffee bar & lobby area, but I didn't have to wait around very long because Michael, a polite gentleman who gives customers rides (and opens the doors for ladies, old-school style), took me home while my vehicle was being repaired and then picked me up when the van was finished. I'm a fleet owner. I've been doing business with Rick's over 4 years. Everything from motors to catalytic converters to "mystery" illnesses of vehicles. Rick's is HONEST always and always explain to me exactly what's going on with the vehicle and what they recommend to fix it. No hidden or surprise costs and they stand behind everything they do. I've been working with Roy there for years and have always been treated like I'm the most important person in the room! Thank you, thank you for being a business I can trust and for employing genuinely kind people.

Update Tim (GM at Ricks) reached out to me and was very diplomatic as well as professional about handling the situation. I can tell Tim truly wants the best for his customers. Ricks has skilled mechanics and a great GM. Tim went above and beyond to help out with everything needed to make sure our vehicle issues were resolved and handled with care.Rick s does good work , I have taken 4 vehicles to them however the service manager that I dealt with Keith was not honest at all. He fails to listen when you talk and tells conflicting things when he explains stuff. Took my truck (15 ram 1500) in and it was diagnosed with a faulty 3 way coolant valve. Before taking it in, I explained to him that we noticed it getting warm but could not find a coolant leak and that coolant levels were full. They fixed the valve then called me and told me the truck was ready to go and everything was good. I specifically asked if they made sure to drive the truck thoroughly enough to get it to temp to be sure the issue was resolved. Kieth said yes. Then I called an hour later to confirm pickup and Kieth said his tech now saw a very small leak on the radiator. Before I took the truck in I had it on a trailer to tow in and let it run to the point of warming up to confirm there were no fluid leaks. I told Keith if it s small I will order a radiator and fix it. Kieth said ok I ll make sure it s full with fluid and it should be good to make it home just keep an eye on the levels. So 3 miles down the road the truck starts getting warm again and I called Keith to confirm because when I looked, the leak on the radiator was small, then he told me he never drove it or filled it with fluid because of the leak. Long story is radiator wasn t leaking when I took it in and wasnt leaking when they diagnosed the issue. It only started leaking after they repaired the valve(not a huge deal accidents happen) but then Keith told me it was good and tested and fluid was filled , then later told me he never drove it and did not fill fluids up. There is much more to Keith and his antics however I don t want to get into it.

Great service and atmosphere. Customer service was very helpful and solved my problem with the transmission on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I would recommend this business for any repairs or other service to your vehicle.

Exceptional service is alive and well in Springfield! We were traveling back home when, around noon, we noticed a horrendous grinding noise. Exiting the highway to assess the damage, we determined professional help was in order. Several attempts failed to find someone who could look at our vehicle. We stumbled upon Rick's and how very fortunate we were. They agreed to try and squeeze us in but informed us that they may not be able to fit us in. Lo and behold, after 4 and a half hours and one revised estimate, the repair was completed. Note that photos of the wear items were shared via text message when the revised estimate was given. These clearly showed the extent of the rust damage. The vehicle was returned to me at 5:20 AND at the original estimated price. This is due to the fact that the visible wear was less than expected. Advisor Eric communicated expertly with me throughout the process. The fantastic service of the team at Rick's got us back on the road to home in record time. We could have continued on our way had we not decided already to spend the night and proceed in the morning.

I am very, very happy with all of the staff at Rick's Automotive. I feel they are honest and trustworthy. The waiting area is extremely clean and they offer coffee etc... such a comfortable place to wait. Five Star all the way!

I went to Rick s for the first time this week and I couldn t say enough good things about it. Pierce at the front desk was very kind, and knowledgeable. He eased any concerns I had and called to confirm repairs and gave me an estimate before any repairs were made. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reputable and reliable auto shop.

I understand the fact the alignment couldn't be done right due to other issues with the car but don't understand why they couldn't tell me this when I picked it up or even tell me this at all until I took it back. Not impressed, there are other mechanics out there that would appreciate my business and are more detail oriented. I agree with another review saying that Rick's is trading off of a reputation it used to have.

We consistently have great service through Rick's Automotive. We utilize them for our personal & business vehicles. We trust them, & don't feel like we are being "upsold". With that said, we appreciate their guidance & knowledge in helping us to repair what needs to be repaired. I highly recommend them.

Son in-law was down in Springfield for CDL school and ran into some car problems. I was leary having him take the car to a stranger out of our home state. The team at Rick's were phenomenal. Ran into some modern supply chain issues that are, unfortunately, prevalent across all industries ATM. The techs were prompt and kept us well informed of the progress. Workmanship from them was top rate. If I didn't live 12 hours north, they would be my new full time auto mechanic shop. Thanks again, you guys have a business to be proud of!

Went for oil change and confirmed with them to use full synthetic on my car. WITHOUT asking me they changed it to a synthetic mix which ended up somehow costing more than fully synthetic. Their free rideshare service is nice though. For my car repairs (new tires and cv axle) I have no complaints.

Took our 2008 Ford Escape to Rick's for issues with not starting. They got that problem fixed; but I noticed that my "service engine light" was lit up. It wasn't lit up when I dropped it off to them. You can imagine that I was pretty aggravated & mad. I ended up getting to speak with Tim Fess & Travis Comfort about the problem. If I would have been able to talk to them the previous Friday when I picked up my car. I would have been still angry about the whole situation. I had thought about it!! It was not really anybody's fault, just an unfortunate situation that happened while they were replacing something else. "It happens"!! What matters is how the problem is resolved. We had a wonderful conversation about the issue & in the end came up with a fair resolution to the problem. What I thought was going to be a "horror story from hell" became an enjoyable & rewarding experience. They treated us good!! Thank you!!

Rick's is professional, prompt, and provides solutions to issues at hand. I'm glad to do business with them. I recently was treated like dirt at Springfield Kia after a mild accident in my Telluride. I could not trust Kia would do the job safely. Took it to Rick's, and the quote was the same. The experience was hands down much better, and that's how Rick's will continue to build client relationships.

I'd been to so many different mechanics, I was frustrated with my car problems and all the different diagnostics I had gotten from the other places. I found Ricks and went to them as my last hope. They were extremely pleasant and caring on the phone. Quick to get me in, and thorough. Not only did they find the issue, but they fixed my car and got me on my way in no time! I left with the peace of mind that my car was in good hands. For all my other car problems needs, I'll know there to go, Ricks Automotive. The only place I d take my car in the area for any type of repair. These guys know their stuff, are highly professional, and take great care of my wife and I s vehicles. Plus, they have a seasoned staff who have many years of service with the company. Says a lot about how they are run as an organization!

I have never had a bad experience with Rick s! I love them so much and will not go to anyone else! Today my ride came from Michael, and he was a true gentleman! I have never felt safer and more taken care of than from the boys at Rick s! Also, I would love to give a shout-out to Keith as well. He is always so nice!

I don t normally write reviews but I m so thankful to have needed to stop at Rick s. Me and the family were just passing through and we had issues with the wheels/vibration. Eddie, Pierce, Mike and the staff were very friendly and understanding. They fit us into the schedule no problems. We were there for a little bit and they were thorough and hardly charged us anything. I wish we had a Rick s back home, they would be our go to shop!Service: Tires
