I only gave this 2 stars because of the friendliness of the employees I encountered. They were very friendly. I took my subie in for a recall on the ac condenser. First trip there I was told it could take 2-3 hours. No problem, I brought a book. About 2 hours later they let me know they had the condenser, but did not have the o rings needed to replace it and I would have to come back. I was told the parts would be in between 5-7 business days. Almost 2 weeks later I called and finally got a live person to speak to. We scheduled the appointment for my second trip to have this corrected. I live 50 minutes away. So, it took a total of about 8 hours of MY time to get this taken care of. Then, yesterday my daughter sent me an email that customer relations sent her about the service of my vehicle. My daughter lives 10 hours from here and has never had anything to do with my car. Terrible communication. This is not unique to the Reliable family of cars. It took two additional trips to get a different car completely repaired at their collision center. I think Reliable is unreliable. A sincere apology goes a long way.

A few months ago, I took my 2021 Forester to Reliable Subaru to diagnose a rattle/noise coming from somewhere to the left of the dash. After a brief inspection, the tech tried to explain that it was caused by a new Freon that Subarus use. When I tried to explain that the rattle still happened when the A/C was off was worsened by driving over rough pavement, the tech doubled down on his illogical explanation and told me that it was normal.I eventually took my Subaru to a competent dealership after moving to Birmingham, AL, and they were able to easily diagnose the issue as being caused by a loose bolt in the headlight housing. They fixed the issue under warranty the same day. As such, I have to assume that Reliable Subaru is hiring incompetent technicians who can t be bothered to diagnose issues that are not blatantly obvious.

If I could less than a 1 star I would. There s a reason this service center is rated so poorly. One guy with integrity is holding his entire team and is covering their butts. When I purchased the vehicle, the initial inspection was not done fully and things were missed. He found the discrepancies and fixed them. I went in for routine maintenance ($500.00 worth) and their internet was down the entire time. Apparently that stopped the team from actually speaking to each other in person to tell someone there was a nail in my tire. Hours later, once the nail was caught or communicated , I was called and asked to return on another day to repair the tire. When I showed up a few days later, I was told they couldn t remove the nail without it ruining my tire and if they touched it, it could cause a blow out. I was told I needed to drop about $1,000 to replace all my tires. I was then emailed what looked to be a liability waiver and told to review and approve it. When I pushed back on the issues that I had encountered with the service center over the extent of our time together, I was met with hostility/rudeness and no compassion at all. Salt on the open wound. Excuse me, I was told my tire could blow out and was expected to drive it home in that state?? Are you SERIOUS? Absolutely not. DO NOT GO HERE. Nothing but bad experiences 2022-2023.

I don't think I've ever been so quickly disappointed in service. Recently bought a used Subaru from CarMax. They coordinated a new key to be ordered and programmed by Reliable. When I called to make an appointment for this service, I was told the key was for a Subaru Outback. I told them on the phone that's incorrect, it should be for a Forester. They backtracked and affirmed that information and scheduled me for an appointment later that day. I sat for 45 minutes for someone to come over to tell me it was a key for a Subaru Outback. And they would contact CarMax to get a new key ordered. Two months pass and I contact CarMax: they were not told this information. Awesome. CarMax gets me a new key and reprograms it themselves within a week.Meanwhile, I am getting text updates from the Reliable service department about supposed service happening to my vehicle on 2/20 and 3/7. I contact them to state this isn't the case in both instances, that it must be a clerical error for whoever is actually getting service done on their vehicle, and I'm told to ignore it. Then I get a Carfax sent to my email "Provided by Reliable Subaru". And it lists these services on the Carfax for my vehicle, which means they have attributed someone else's service appointments to my vehicle and my contact information. I call Reliable to once again let them know, and I get accused by some lady who sounds like I ruined her whole day calling that I must have sold my Subaru and this is service by the new owner. Stupid and reaching accusation and I can't help but to laugh. I get bounced to a supervisor who admits he's fairly new and not sure what to do. I tell him the Carfax issue isn't the crux here; Reliable has faulty information, and poor QC on their clerical input. I can't trust to bring my car here for regular service because they've completely muddied my information and refuse to take responsibility for it, let alone just fix it. It's a shame as I live just a couple minutes from this place.

Very disappointed in the time it took to get my car serviced today. My appointment was at 9:40 a.m., and I got there at 9:30 a.m. The serviceman told me it would be about an hour . . . that they were a little behind. "Okay . . . no problem" I told him. So at 11:00 am (1.5 hours later) I went and inquired about my car, as I needed to be in Republic for another appointment at 11:40 a.m., and (when I scheduled it) thought that would be PLENTY of time to allow. He said it would probably be another 30 minutes! Needless to say, I had to cancel my 11:40 a.m. appointment. I talked with another lady who was still waiting for her car, and she told me that she had gotten her way early for her appointment at 9:00 a.m! I was finally told my car was done being serviced at 11:42 a.m., but then I had to wait a while longer for them to run it through the car wash. I finally left Reliable Subaru service department at 12:00 p.m. which was a full two hours and 30 minutes after I arrived. If I hadn't already paid for a service agreement when I purchased the car earlier this year. I would not be back! I can only hope that things are running a little another next time.
