This is by far one of the best places to come and get new tires. If you have a flat tire come here and get it fixed. The people working here are great and friendly. They offer 17 point of vehicle courtesy and I think that is amazing too. I am glad I came here to fix my tires, they are well understanding of the subject and they will explain to you about your choices and even can set up a time to replace anything related to the tires, brakes and anything other.

First time I went in they took care of me. Professional and nice. They don't take appointments so the gentleman told me to call in advance to see how backed up they are before I come in. He said they could give an estimate. Well I needed to go in today so I called to see about how long of a wait. The employee that answered this time laughed at me for asking. Why laugh at a customer just doing what they was told by the company? I guess it's a hit and miss on good customer service there. I know I'm not going back after that. If an employee is going to laugh at a customer then they don't need my business. I was just simply doing what I was told by another employee. Very unprofessional. If an employee is going to laugh at a customer then they don't take their job seriously. It makes me wonder about the car care.

The people here at this Mitchem Tire are the kindest and most understanding people in the business. Any issues you have they will put your mind at ease and they will tell it to you straight. There is no other place that I will have take care of my vehicles needs. Thank you for all the hard work you do!

We live in a neighborhood just north of the Fairgrounds and Hillcrest High School. We have lived here for over 30 years and I remember Mitchem being around for most of all of that time. I have bought tires there. Yesterday my lawnmower tire went flat, so I took it there today. Sam took the wheel and it was fixed. Then when I went to pay, no charge! They are good there. I am glad to have Mitchem as my neighborhood Tire Shop.

I appreciate Corky and his willingness to help me put tires on my fleet vehicle. It can be challenging to go through the approval process and some companies will not do fleet billing because of the hassles. Corky stayed with the process and got me the tires I requested. All work was done professionally and on time. Thank you Mitchem!

Mitchem Tire was amazing to work with! Had a flat headed home on a road trip just outside of Springfield. Aired it up with the tire inflation kit in my vehicle (which is a joke, always make sure you have a full-size spare!) and limped it to Mitchem. The guys were quick, and fixed the tire fast and we were back on the road before we knew it.

My fianc took our 00 Ford Crown Victoria in to have an alignment done along with a balance and rotation. The first trip they just rotated the tires, not sure why they didn t get balanced but it could of been a miscommunication on my fianc s end, so I won t completely fault them for that. While she was there, they informed her that they wanted to wait on the alignment because one of the tie rods was loose. She brought the car back to me and I inspected it and it didn t seem to be as loose as they stated, but I went ahead and replaced both the inner and outer tie rods on both sides. Along with both adjusting sleeves, as well as the pitman arm and idler arm. She took it back to them to have the alignment done and when we got it back the car was still driving funny and making tire noise at any speed on curves and when you would turn. Due to my work schedule it took us almost a week to get the car back into them. I had to drive a car that was not properly aligned for a week because they failed to do the job right, if they did the job at all. Finally the third time there which was today, they were able to get it right. When she spoke to Mitchem about adjusting the price of the service because of the amount of tire wear they basically told her there wasn t much they could do and we would have to speak to the owner if we wanted anything done, which when I asked my fianc she made it seem like it was unlikely they would do anything. This isn t the first, but third time I ve had something messed up on one of my vehicle by Mitchem and I m not one who loves to just post poor reviews on everything. They also recently left grease marks on my headliner of my newer Taurus I purchased literally a month ago. I can t even begin to understand why greasy hands were on the headliner of my Taurus in the first place. I ll never be back to have anything done. This was the final straw that broke my back.

I came in to have the alignment checked and had them balance and rotate the tires on my '10 Ford Taurus Limited. Tires were balanced and rotated right, but they failed to tell me they broke one of my center caps off that has a Ford emblem on it. I called them back and they said they had center caps to replace it with. I also noticed grease on the headliner above the driver side door and on my driver side door panel. I went ahead and cleaned all that up and was lucky I was able to get it up. I know for a fact this grease was not there before taking it to them because we just purchased this car a month ago in St. Louis and my fiance and I take very good care of our vehicles. I came back to them today to put the center cap on and all they had was an aftermarket one that doesn't match the rest of my rims. The technician that took my vehicle again left grease marks on the headliner above the driver side door. I'm not sure who has to touch a headliner or even why someone would touch the headliner to get in and out of a vehicle. I was referred to these guys by a friend of mine and after seeing this I'll never do business again with Mitchem Tire. This is not an acceptable way to treat customers and do business.

I've only been a regular for a short time & I'd like to report every time I go these guys are knowledgeable efficient and HONEST & the counter guy possibly the boss 5 star customer service , don't worry about this place taking advantage esp to the ladies out there that feel maybe railroaded by other places , this place will not sell you something you don't need even if you told them to because you thought the car needed it . Honest place id highly recommend.. .

$20 for a 25 cent plug. I could have done that myself. I was expecting a patch on the inside because its such a new tire, but thats what i get for not saying it. Not only that, but I took the wheel off myself, AND, they had me come back later to pick it up! It took more time to check in than it did to plug it. You could have done that while I was there. And a discount would have been nice since they didn't take it off the car, or the wheel, or spin balanced it. Thanks, but Not going back. This is the second time they got to me. The first time was on a car I needed inspected.

I had taken truck in last week for inspection. Crew did it in a timely manner and had given me a quote on tires that was far better on a name brand tire that the competitors trying to sell me on a generic tire. They also went out of there way to take care of a zero turn tire I brought in. So great job and I will return.A Cut Above

They must be under new management. This is no longer an ethical shop that will take care of your vehicle. I had been using them the whole time we lived here from 2014-2018. We moved away, then when we moved back in 2021 I resumed bringing our vehicles here. The last time I went was in early 2022. They told me my oil plug had been stripped and I would need my oil pan emptied, removed, re-drilled so the threads of the plug would work again, and that it would be hundreds of dollars (I think he said $300, but it was long enough ago, now I can't remember). I told them since they were the ones that stripped it, they should just make it right. He said it could've been anyone that had worked on our vehicle. Well, we had no work done except scheduled oil changes performed by this shop, and this is the first I'm hearing about the oil plug being stripped. I told them to throw on a rubber gasket and I'd take it to my regular mechanic to look at. He told me a rubber gasket would allow leaks (which it does), and that we run the risk of it falling out any minute while we drive.I told all of this to my regular mechanic and he just laughed and confirmed that their machines are powerful and has stripped my oil plug threading. But he put on a heavier duty rubber gasket and it's been fine for over a year now. I still do routine maintenance, but will never go back to this business. It's a shame because it was trustworthy and they used to stand by their work. Not anymore. It's really ran now by just greedy management and incompetent techs working on the car. A stripped oil plug is just incompetent work.

Great place! I needed a tire right away to get my truck home. They didn't have the tire I needed in stock but were able to locate and get the tire in less than 2 hours and installed it immediately. They are professional and friendly. I would certainly recommend them. Thank you!

I have been a customer of Mitchem for over 20 years... This company will NEVER get my business again. They wouldn't pass my inspection because they said I needed a new wiper blade. Sam and Andy were both rude and condescending when I expressed my frustration. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.After reading the owner's response, he is LYING. I didn't cuss or throw a fit in front of his employees. He's grasping at straws trying to justify their poor service. Bottom line, something at this shop has changed and not for the better. Why would I give them my business for over 20 years and then suddenly turn into a bad customer that they don't want in their shop?Look at the OWNER'S responses in other reviews. He can't take any type of constructive criticism and refuses to apologize. I was wondering what happened at this shop and now I have my answer.

What made me keep going back was how honest and straight forward the people were. The last few times it started to feel a money grab, like some other shops in town. The first time it was you need 1800 to fix everything, got a second opinion it cost me 90 for the issue and found thing that were missed like my cables on my plugs were shot. Next time was your exhaust is bad, it needed a little work for rust but it took was ok. I don't know what happened, but I do know I miss Rob. The price is normally the best on tires, but that will only get you so far.

Never fun to go out to truck and trailer and find a flat in the morning. I know that the guys at Mitchem will take care of me. Nothing but the nicest most professional staff. They have went above and beyond for me but I really just think that is how they do business everyday.

Technicians were fast courteous and very knowledgeable. They let me know what was wrong with my vehicle and what was needing attention without being overly pushy. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

One of the few places I bring my car in town. And that's because I know Andy isn't going to screw me over. I use both locations now that I work on the N. Side. Had my right front bearing missed up and they got me right and didn't try to over charge me. Just another reason we bring both our family vehicles to them. Best in town in my opinion.

This shop is the only one I will go to in town. They have the best customer service and fully understand when people are in a bind. They (all the staff) have conversations like a real person would and are also relatable.I've been twice now and would never consider going to another tire shop in town. Thank you all for everything you do and keep up the great work and amazing customer service. I appreciate what you do.

The worst experience of my life in a tire store. The other time was last year when they mount-ed directional tires wrong sides. Today they scratched my alloy rims and mounted clip onweights, NO new valve stems, and on the Honda my rpms light came on while driving! If you love your cars and value your time, Do Not waste your money here. They are one starMAYBE. The manager is an unprofessional money counter that sits in his office. He didn t even apologize. I will go to Goodyear at the mall from now on. They know their craft, and theprices are not insane. Don t waste your valuable time sitting for two hours for tire mountingthat should take one hour. This is the 3100 S. Campbell store I m talking about!
