***This place is a rip-off!!!*** The owner won't even reply to you if you have an issue with brakes they "fixed" not even a year earlier. He ignores you. Better off taking your car to Plaza Tire. They are better priced and have a WAY BETTER warranty!! They took weeks to fix another issue with my BMW...there was a mix up with parts and they weren't communicating this with me. Very unprofessional. Trust me, go to another place that specializes in imports. This place simply sucks!

Called them to replace a part on my car and on the phone I specifically explained to him what I wanted done and he quoted me a price said the parts had to be ordered in when I pick up the car they changed the wrong part and when I confronted him about it and told him that I explained to him what I wanted done and how he quoted me a different price he got quiet like he knew he had messed up and then continued to proceed to charge me for the wrong part being replaced. I will be getting a lawyer and getting money back. Cuz there was no reason for changing the part they changed.

Went in for a new clutch on my VW Golf TDI with 279,000 miles. They did a great job and even had it finished a day earlier than they quoted. Clutch now works flawlessly! One week later I had a light on on the dash. They squeezed me in the next day and had everything resolved, no dash lights at all, one day later! For both services they took the time to explain to me everything that was going on, discussed all the work they performed, and were super friendly and helpful through everything. I normally go to Audi to service my vehicle but I went here just to find a cheaper quote to do a motor mount and some control arms. They did fine with this service so I thought I d go here instead of Audi for a routine oil change and a tune like spark plug and a battery for my vehicle. After having these items replaced for my vehicle I kept repeatedly having problems and taking my vehicle back for the same two lights after they serviced my car. They then said I needed engine coils which I paid for, then they said I needed a pcv valve which I paid for. Then I had to repeatedly keep coming back for the same lights. After the 4th visit back, and them having my car on and off for over a month they tried to tell me that my engine was blown and tried to get me to pay $3500 for an engine with 120k miles. Higher miles than mine (mine has 78k). I told them that I want to get a second opinion from Audi and asked to get an extra copy of my receipts and a write up of everything they were saying. When I asked for these copies Josh who works front desk refused to give me my receipts for the services and began getting violent shouting at me and banging on the table telling me I did not know what I was talking about telling me to leave refusing to give me receipts for services rendered. I ended up taking my car to Audi and had to have everything redone that they did due to them using the wrong spark plugs and installing a faulty battery. My car runs great after getting it from Audi and I NEVER recommend anyone to go here for honest work. Attached is the receipt from Audi showing I had to get all the services they performed redone as well as their receipts. I also have a video inspection report from Audi showing they installed faulty/wrong/cheap after market parts for all repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My foreign car was having lots of issues, So I took it to another shop for a car diagnostic test. I was told both batteries were fine, but it might possibly need a new alternator or have some wiring issues which could have been in the thousands (the alternator alone was $1200.00 at that shop). Import Car Service did a car diagnostic test and told me ALL it needed was a battery. They replaced the main battery and now the car is running perfectly. Its so nice to have a car I can depend on again. I highly recommend them.Service: Auto maintenance

had a clutch replaced a little over a year ago, less than 1000 miles on new clutch. another mechanic was taking engine apart and we noticed the clutch is toast. the clutch fork was bent, and the clutch was not seated flush on the flywheel. what this shop diagnosed as a "bad throwout bearing" (which was brand new, they installed it) was actually the clutch rubbing the flywheel when not depressed! 1400 dollars down the drain. they have been standoffish since the beginning about addressing any issuesDONT TAKE YOUR SUBIE HERE.Edit: and you show some real class with your response. If there were issues with the stock fork, why wasn t it brought up at time of install? In fact every mechanic I ve spoken too said they would have required me to replace the fork as well. But y all didn t. So keep telling me how I m wrong.

Great team of guys...knowledgeable and helpful. They had my girl for some time diagnosing what was ailing her stubborness and was able to mend what was making her so cranky. Quoted $850 to do something that I got done same day somewhere else for $350! And while diagnosing the vehicle they continuously revved the vehicle for atleast a half hour. Then gave me a code for o2 sensors from a check engine light, and to change my valve covers. Also extremely unprofessional cussing loudly to where it could easily be heard from the waiting room. Then they charged me $90 diagnostic, $8 supply, and $3 in hazmat when all they did was check engine light code reading.

My wife and I have used Import Car Services for years and their service has always been top-notch. They are honest and upfront with their diagnosis and the with work they provide (itemizing every detail).On our most recent visit, they had to replace all four coils in our Minni Cooper--one of which they replaced about a year ago. My daughter is going to school in Springfield and dad (me) is miles away. Car wouldn t start and I quickly jumped to the web to find a towing service and mechanic to take a look at it. After reading some reviews I called Import Car Service and had it towed there. Me being miles away they could have said anything and my hands were tied and would have had to pay it. Me and my bank account are very happy to find out it was only a dead battery. I have brought my car here twice, once for a check engine light because I needed a sensor and second for a water pump and timing belt. They are always willing to answer my questions, they are honest about what needs to be done and they check in afterward to make sure I'm happy. They diagnose, fix the problem and get me back into my car quickly.

They will hook you up! I had 2 visits here each one kinder and more productive than the last.-Friendly voices on the phone-Tons of experience in the garage-Transparent and to the point prices-People to people serviceDon t make the mistake of thinking you have to drive a G Wagon to come here, my 2011 Subaru is very happy after my visit and I m sending all the family Fords here next.

Worst shop ever lied on parts I needed told me I would need a fly wheel and clutch for my vw tdi with a auto dog like really then I told them to do my crank sensor they wanted 500 they couldn't get it done and still changed me for work they didn't finish and changed me for Diagnostic I knew I would have to pay for that but I have never had a shop charge me for work they didn't finish yes I know they have clutch packs not a clutch you told me the clutch and flywheel would have to be replaced in order to do the clutch pack you have to take apart the transmission I have the phone calls recorded on my phone so anyone want to know what was said please contact me

These guys are the best mechanics i have ever experienced. We were in a tight spit while passing through Springfield and broke down the first shop didnt have time. Well ICS made time. They were great and get us informed through the entire process of getting my car fixed. Very professional and polite. Super clean office and restroom. I hsve brought my old BMW here 2-3 times with over the top customer service, always. I have dealt with 2-3 people and on all occasions its been great. I feel they are very honest, and that's hard to find in this business. Typically I'd bring my car somewhere and oh instantly $1,000 worth of stuff needs fixed. These guys have been great. I sent my sister up there for some motor shifting issues and they fixed it without any issues. All quotes are accurate and I HIGHLY recommend them. This is a true customer review. Thanks for the great service guys! Our family will be coming there for many years to come!

I would give this business 10 stars if I could. Long story short I live in AR and paid another business to quote me fuel pump repair and timing components out the roof $5000 on my VW CC 4 motion. Then had my car towed to Import Car Services and they did the repair for less than $800 and car did not need what the other business quoted and had me back on the road in a day! I HIGHLY recommend any import service needed on your import car in Springfield or surrounding areas to Import Car Service. Don t waste your time paying the other guys for a diagnostic test and give you false information. These guys are honest-hard working and knowledgeable when it comes to import cars.Service: Engine repair

We were able to easily drop our vehicle off the night before. They got to it promptly the next day, letting us know the issues found and fixed them same day. We veers pleasantly surprised at the cost! Extremely reasonable! Very happy with the service and friendly staff. They got my vehicle in and out in a timely manner and fair price. Also, they reset a maintenance light that had come on from having the oil changed at a different location who forgot to reset said light. they told me i needed a new head gasket and wanted 2000 dollars for the job. over a year later ive put over 10000 miles on the car, change the oil myself and it has had zero issues. dont know that i can trust them after thatService: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Took my car for repair was having my car overheating as well as power steering was leaking, I also asked if they would take a look at my air conditioner since it was not blowing cold air, this is when my nightmare begins , first I was told to drop it off and they will call me too let me know what they found which was fine, Dave called said yes you need this to fix the overheating and this to fix the power steering leak and this to fix the air conditioner , so of course I said okay great then it will be 1300 and something dollars , so I said okay can't do all that at once but go ahead and fix the overheating problem and air-conditioning wand I will bring it back next week for the power steering stuff, then I got a call saying well your air conditioner needs a electric fan but your over heating is fix and since this Friday before the 4th I wanted my car so I paid them around 855.00 and left went home thinking my car was somewhat fixed as far as the overheating issue one day later drove to my daughter house which was around 15 min . Away and then my car overheats again , so I barely made it to her house , so I had a great time with my famy and had them follow me back to the shop to drop off my car that same night since it was still over heating. , I was told oh well now it will be another 600.00 to fix the same problem I just paid for a day or so ago. , They treated me as if I did something wrong and was very unprofessional , when I asked questions they actually talked me me like I'm some kind of idiot, and then some other issues happen to my car while in their Care , and they had the nerve to act as if I shouldn't ask about what happened to my car!!! I h then was told well we just won't fix it and come and get your car so long story short paid for a service repair that never happened. I will never take my car back there and would advise any woman to watch out , they will lie and cheat you out of your money and not repair your car! By far the best service I ve ever had, especially when it comes to automotive repair. Most mechanics will do anything they can to rip you off end make more money but not these guys. My husband and I are moving to Texas in two days and we had dropped off his car last week to have them check it out while we were out of town. His car was being weird and acting up in the same way it had a year ago but after clearing the codes, it ran just fine. When we had it dropped off, they fixed one other thing and were trying to figure out the other issue but couldn t get the codes to come back up. We went in and picked it up today and immediately when my husband got in the car, it finally acted back up so they were able to look back at it and find the problem. I m not sure if he is the owner but he s the guy who always talked to us on the phone and was working in the front has the same car as my husband and immediately he told the mechanic to TAKE THE PART HE NEEDED TO REPLACE IN MY HUSBANDS CAR OUT OF HIS OWN PERSONAL CAR AND PUT IT IN MY HUSBANDS CAR!!!! Wouldn t accept taking any money from us for the part or the labor. These guys here are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond.Service: Engine repair

Everyone wants quality repairs at a fair price. At Import Car Service I found that and more. When one doesn't really know much about auto repair and mechanics, it is common to feel nervous, wondering if one is getting a fair diagnosis without unnecessary "add-on." At Import Car Service I felt I found an honest shop that does good work. They also stand behind their work.
