After calling many other mechanics that misdiagnosed my Jeep 3 separate times I found 417 Mobile Auto and called them. Al (the owner) came out right away and not only did he have the problem diagnosed right away, he was able to get me into the shop within a day or two. He and his other mechanic Rick were very thorough and explained everything to me along the way. Their prices are reasonable and they get everything done in the fastest manner possible. I turn every wrench on my Jeep usually but when I can t figure it out Al and Rick are the only ones I trust to do the job right and I will continue to bring all my vehicles there from now on. I give them for their service.

I was told I needed a new starter for my car. It was at home and I didn t want to get it towed so I emailed 417 Mobile Auto Repair. They got back to me by the next day and came out almost exactly when I asked- the mechanic was a tiny bit late then got lost in my maze-like neighborhood but I wasn t in a hurry to get anywhere. The mechanic was very friendly and started checking the battery and diagnosing the problem. It turned out to be a much easier and cheaper fix.The fee charged for coming to my car was even a little less expensive than getting the car towed to the garage!I will definitely be a repeat customer. I highly recommend!

Great experience through the whole process. Truck died at the Buc-ees, halfway through a cross-country trip. They walked me through the troubleshooting and got it running over the phone. They replaced the fuel pump and had me back on the road in about 2 hours, for a very reasonable price. During the wait, I was treated like one of the family. Can't recommend 417 Mobile Auto Repair enough. Thanks again for fixing me up.

My experience there was pretty good. I rented the purple trailer to haul a truck had a flat tire and still receive my deposit. I will probably use them again.

Al was great! We called him to help us diagnostic no-start issues on our daughter's Dodge,. He came out after hours on a Sunday, my partner thought he could do the repairs himself. After working on it for couple days the car still wouldn't start. We called Al again, he came back out and was able to pin point the problem quite quickly. Affordable and honest!! Thanks for all your help Al, you've officially become our go to guy for auto repairs in Springfield!

I made an appointment with the receptionist early around 8a, and dropped my car off on time. She was extremely nice, dropping me off at home, which was seriously a block away. Now, my initial complaints were a shudder in my brakes when applied at red lights, and a rattle that just started coming from the back of my car. When they picked me up, 7 hours later, I took the car for a spin with the mechanic in the car with me. That s when I immediately noticed that the rattle was still there, however the shudder had slowed down. I couldn t be for sure, because he kept trying to rush me saying they were about to close, so it was hard for me to test out the new front rotors and brake pads they applied. I dropped the guy back off and was told they d look at it again if I brought it back in on Sun. The guy did take a look at it, and was sure it was just my heat shield rattling. Well once I brought it back up there and he attached the screw to the heat shield it was still making the noise. So they charged me for their BRAKE and ROTOR package and an Eighty dollar diagnostic fee, but didn t fix what I needed fixed. I was very nice about the situation, but was very displeased. They referred me to Sheldon s Muffler to get me out of their faces, and I went about my way. So I paid 310 dollars for 2 brake pads and 2 rotors, which I ve heard is the average amount, but the shudder is back, so basically I was taken advantage of. The fact that they don t show you your old rotors or pads leaves me thinking, did they even replace them. They should be more detailed of what they did during the diagnostic test and how they came to the conclusion, before repairing. They also didn t call me first, just fixed it. I have not contacted them yet to let them know of the problems still existing, but I will. And , you can also feel free to respond to this review, as I ve been nothing but honest about the matter.Service: Brakes

I whole-heartedly recommend this business. I ve been looking for a good shop for a long time. When I go to chain auto shops they just seem to charge high prices and give you little information to help maintain your car going forward. I feel like a pain of a customer for asking so many questions in the process so I can learn more. I know enough about cars to maintain it, but not near enough to work in the industry. It s common for places to take advantage of me, and over the years that s made me not trust most mechanics in general. I felt that way until today. My sparkplugs and one of my coil packs went out the night before, and I was panicked over the prices other shops were quoting me. I finally called and spoke with Al, the owner. I told him my circumstance, and not only could he beat the prices of competitors by far, but I was also talking with him and his technician John during the entire process of them changing out my sparkplugs and showing me things I hadn t yet learned. I lost track of how many questions I d asked, and I even had to come back in the same day because we were waiting to see if my car would throw a code for a coil pack as well that we anticipated, and it did. They quickly replaced my coil pack as well. While I was paying in the office, I had a great experience with Mandy at their desk! A big hello to Al, John, and Mandy! You made a huge difference in my life today!Service: Engine repair

Was supposed to have an engine swap. Mechanic does avoid phone calls just like other reviews have said. If you get good service out of this guy you are LUCKY. DO NOT take your vehicle here Al will make your car even worse than before you took it here. He literally tried to put a junk engine in my bmw as a engine swap. Not even worth taking him to court and it looks like I m not the first person he s done this to. Seriously find another mechanic.Service: Engine repair

Had an issue with my spark plug and took it there to have them look at it. Only 1 plug figure it wouldn't be to difficult for a trained technician however the price got a little step. I asked the owners to call me if the price got above $80 they never did so I assumed all went well. When I arrived I was a bit shocked to find out that it was $120. The mechanic said that there was a piece of metal wedged and it took him half the day. Really? Half the day? I gave them 3 stars because they were nice but and I am aware that there is an hourly rate but follow through with your promises. Don't forget to put my info in the computer and have some evidence that you did more than take 1 spark plug out...... My statements still stand. Follow up on your promises and show proof as to WHY the final price was higher. You can't build trust if there is doubt.

Had them come out to Strafford to put an alternator in my car. The young man was very nice. Had a problem with a pulley a week later and he took care it. The owner of this company stands by his work. He had me back on the road in no time. Al is an honest mechanic which is hard to come by nowadays. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a mechanic that won't take advantage of you.Service: Engine repair

In town for the day to help my son change a tire. We couldn't get the wheel off and the car wouldn't start. I called 417 and they are amazing! They were there within the hour, they were reasonable and Bryce gave us excellent service. I had this shop instal a new motor in my suv a year ago, the mechanic some how forgot to put the rear motor mount bolt in I drove it like that for a while. There wasn t noise until the cv axels went out due to the motor moving around. I changed 2 sets of axles bc of it. Then my transfer case went out because of how much the motor moved around. I had them replace it. They wouldn t take responsibility for the missing bolt and damage to the transfer case. So I m down $750 due to there own negligence! I would never ever use this automatic shop. Seems they just hire any nincompoop of the street. Also they don t lock up vehicles when they leave for the day. Went to look at my car on the week end and it was unlocked. Unprofessional and lazy.Service: Engine repair

If you need mobile repair, these are the folks to use. I'm from OKC visiting my son in the hosp, and was stranded in Springfield when my starter went out. I messaged them on a Sun morning trying to line them up for that Mon. Mind you it was Father's Day, and they got right back with me and had me up and running in 2 1/2 hours that same day. Very reasonable prices, especially last minute. I wish they were in OKC, I would use them every time.Service: Engine repair

We all know that horrible feeling. You sit behind your wheel ready to run an errand or take the kids to school, you turn the key, and nothing happens. You swallow hard and turn the key again hoping it was just a fluke. But nope...your car is dead.I just had this happen with a bad starter, but fortunately I was able to get in touch with the folks at 417 Mobile Auto Repair. I called around 8:00 in the morning and the service technician was at my house later the same day. The cost of the service call was the same, if not less, than the cost of towing my car to a shop and the overall experience was very positive.Al called on his way to my house, arrived exactly when he said he would, and got my service done within the estimated timeframe. The total cost was right within the quote I was provided in the morning. I will definitely recommend 417 Mobile Auto Repair to friends and family and will use again.Service: Engine repair

Terrible buisness. AL IS A SLUMMY BUISNESS OWNER THAT WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. He avoids phone calls and chooses to not complete work that was paid for. Went there for uhaul. Very unprofessional was woman in the desk area. Paper work was very slow to print n seemed to be just so tired to even be dealt with considering I made a reservation. She had no work to do but print. .it's a garage area. N a car lot. Guy selling cars. SIR COLLINS...WAS A PERFECT PERSON TO SPEAKE TO ABOUT A CAR. HE HAS A CARING WAY ABOUT HIM TRYING TO GET MY DAUGHTER INTO A CAR. I APPRECAITED HIM N THE WHITE MAN THAT BACKED UP MY TRUCK W TRAILER ON IT. CAUSE IM NOT GOOD AT THAT. ..HE WAS ALSO AWESOME..

Starter went out on my car while I was in Springfield for the weekend. Called Al on Monday and he towed it to his shop for repairs. He and his mechanic stayed late to get me back home to AR. They did a great job and I really appreciate their dedication to customer service.

Cut me an amazing deal on my timing chain replacement and were very friendly. Took a little longer than originally quoted, but with the nature of a mobile repair service that's to be expected. They do great work and we'll definitely be back!

We were at wild animal safari and had a hose pop off as soon as we started the drive through and they were able to get the parts and repaired and back on the road quickly!
