For great auto work and outstanding customer service at a fair price, I highly recommend Wood's Auto Service! My car shredded a serpentine belt on I-55 outside of Sikeston last week, while I was traveling from New Orleans to Wisconsin - I had to pull over right then and there, and seek emergency help, I couldn't even limp it anywhere. Kasey on the phone and front desk, owner Rick and his team of mechanics all helped me find a tow truck (thanks to Bill with Todd's Towing!) and fit me into their schedule same-day. The other shop I called wasn't going to get me in for FOUR DAYS! Miraculously, Wood's also found parts locally for my older (2009), European sedan. While they worked on my car they made me, my husband AND my dog at home in their waiting room. I was back on the road before the shop closed for the day, with new friends and a great story to tell for it. I finished the rest of my trip with confidence that my car was in great shape. Thanks to the entire team at Wood's Auto Service for taking great care of me!Service: Engine repair

I set up an appointment online stating that I think I needed new struts for my car. I went in and my car was immediately looked at. After about 30 mins, I was told that indeed I would need new struts for the front. I was told the price would be $1400 and I told them I would have to do that at a later date. I was then told I just had to pay for the diagnostic they ran on my car, which was fine until I was told that it would be $113 !!! 113 for 30 min of "labor" that I could do at auto zone for free! That is ridiculous price to be blindsided with. I was never told that's how much it would be up front because I would have NEVER agreed to that, just to be told everything was fine with the car except the struts- which is what I had already told them in the first place. I will never ever use Wood's againEdit: I took my car to another repair shop saying I needed new struts and they quoted me $650.. When I took it in, the mechanic came out after about 15 minutes and said that honestly my struts were fine (woods said I needed new struts for $1400!)..I asked the mechanic what was making the rattling noise and he said it was a loose brake assembly which he fixed FOR FREE! woods tried to charge me for something I did not even need..Service: General repairs & maintenance

Woods auto service went out of their way to assist my girlfriend with some expensive auto repairs which we could not afford but had to have done. Our bill for the repairs would have been over nine hundred dollars but with the lady who works at the desk pulling for us we ended up paying around 120 for for full payment. Her car has ran great with absolutely no problems. Thank you so much and I would recommend you all to anyone who ask.

Great experience! Car broke down in Sikeston after a wonderful family reunion! Of course it was the weekend and nothing was open. Woods got us in first thing in the morning and was back on the road by 10:30! Problem was a solenoid but also replaced spark plugs which needed to be changed. (Verified by my husband). We have no complaints! Thank you for getting us back home Woods!

Took my truck there for brake lines leaking. Charged me 1200 for new brake lines on 03 chev truck. However I drove it home and the next time I drove it, no brakes! Took it back to woods said the $1200 only was for front brake lines this was back brake line and this 1 line was another $900!! So $2000 and still would have to do other back side eventually. After much argueing because initially I paid for all only to find out half job was done, I took it somewhere else and paid $60. Oh and they charged me another $120 to diagnose it again. Um should have been found and fix during first diagnosis. Overcharging is not ok. And luckily no life was lost as parking break had to be used to stop my truck due to their incompetence.Service: Brakes

Great and quick service. I was traveling 11 hours from home and my starter failed. I googled 'mechanics', saw Woods and towed it there. They understood my situation, was able to get a new starter delivered and installed in just a few hours. They treated my urgent situation as their own. They also have great and friendly people, from the office staff to teh mechanics.Service: Engine repair

Well,my son had told me on Sunday that his tire kept going down and he had to air it back up at least every three days ,so I said I will take it to get it fixed on Monday when I'm off. Every auto shop in town was SUPER busy even Wood's Auto but I went to them anyway praying they would be able to get my car in and have it done before my son got off work. They were able to get my Kia in and have it done within 15 minutes!! Just love Wood's Auto, thanks Rick!!Service: Tires

My father passed away a month ago, so we were traveling from Chicago IL to Houston Tx to see family. When we pulled into our hotel all of my brake lights came on and we heard a rubbing sound I knew wasn't good. So I looked on Google to find the best places for my kind of problem and Wood's Auto Service seemed to fit the bill, so to speak, well thank the Lord we found this place. They are very nice, and very good at what they do. In the 3 hrs we were stuck there 15 people came in and either picked up their vehicle or made an appointment, not to mention all the calls, and they fit us in their schedule to get us back on the road. They let my little beagle puppy inside the waiting/office area and gave him water while we waited. They found my problem, which was a cracked wheel hub btw, had it shipped to the shop and installed with complete vehicle inspection within 3 hrs, after paperwork we were back on the road after 3.5 hrs of what I thought was going to be hell, but turned out to be a god send, they told me we wouldn't have gotten much further down the road. This is deff the place to go especially if u find yourself in a pickle or stuck on side of the road, thank you Wood's Auto Service!!

I was traveling and had car trouble. I told them i wanted a new thermostat put on the car. I was told there was a $75 diagnostic fee then proceeded to look at the car. I could see my car sitting outside after being worked on. I was there a long time. Come to find out they said they were working on the car the whole time and that it cost $348.65 to get my car. What an overpriced shop for travelers and a woman I guess. Im disgusted, just came across that bill again and decided to write this review. Ripped me off!!

I had a car I was trading in that had its check engine light come on. Took it here to check what the problem was and see if it needed to be fixed in order to make it to poplar bluff for the trade. They checked it out and told me it could easily make the trip without repair. It would have been super easy for them to tell me otherwise. I don t know the first thing about cars. Honest, Is what I m saying. Recommended.

My folks lived in Sikeston and the guys here were working on his Fiat Spider. My dad's cancer came back with a vengance leaving no time for my mom to coordinate a move back to Colorado to live with me. These guys held onto my dad's car for months just out of pure kindness until I could get down there to pick up this very sentimentally significant car. Thanks for your help getting the old girl loaded up and thanks for being so understanding, gang. You made a world of difference to my family.

I will not return to this place. The owner himself was a very nice guy and very courteous his worker however was not. They will make decisions with your money and never notify you about it. In the end it was a very painful experience and I would not recommend.

Yes I use this company about a month ago cause my car broke down on me..well the were tasked with replacing the alternator and belt..I went to pick up my car and it dies the alternator they said they put on didn't work so had to wait another day to get my vehicle back and then a week or so later the belt they supposedly fixed is now squealing and making noises..so I would advise anyone to be cautious if you have them do work on ur vehicle cause u will have more problems and cost you more money to fix what they didn'tLet me please give an update what was wrong with my vehicle had nothing to do with the work they done and I apologize for that...they have been nothing but great since them and did fix what was wrong with my vehicel.Service: Steering & suspension repair
