Went in for a front alignment but needed much more done. They got me in quick and took care of me. Mike and Tom were amazing (not only to us, but sitting there for a while you get to see them helping several people, and not everyone is kind. But they remained friendly and helpful to everyone). I didn t get our tech s name but he did a great job!! Every employee I saw had a smile and great attitude!! Highly recommend Johns Firestone!!! Thank you guys so much for taking care of us!!

Wow. I am super impressed! My son got his brakes completely replaced over break here in St. Louis (pads & rotors), only to discover, upon driving back to S&T, that his car had developed a new scraping/squealing sound when driven. Called John's Firestone in Rolla this morning and, not only did they get us in same day, they got his car all fixed up and even took it out on a test drive, all within an hour's time. Only charged us for 1/2 hour of labor. Highly recommend!!

EditedThe service was quick and they got my car in to repair the leaking valve stem very quick. However the concern for customers property and taken initiative for mistakes is not something that was done well. After paying and walking out to find the side of my car had appeared to been scraped/drove along the corner of the garage entrance. And when asked about it saying their is surely no way my tech would have done that and I must have just missed seeing it when getting into my car to drive their. Based on the corners off all the bay entrances and lack of cameras I feel like this has to be a common occurrence and attempted to be brushed off more than just how I was treated at this Firestone. In regards to Firestones reply,We had talked about how my roommates green Jeep wrangler couldn't have left white paint on my blue car, as your reply made it sound like that was the cause. Also based on the nature of the scratch it is clear the contact started at the front fender and was drug through the door, as well as it is scraped heavier on the plastic painted trim indicated it had to be something coarse that dug into my car.

Very quick, helpful, and efficient service! I was traveling long distance for work (Maryland to Wisconsin to Texas) and got an immediate flat tire from local off-ramp construction. Being very unfamiliar with the area, I had no idea where to go but the tow-truck driver recommended John's Firestone and I was so thankful that they serviced my tire right before closing on a Friday afternoon! I was back on the road within a couple of hours. Great thanks to the staff, as well as the towing service (I can't remember the company, but they were great as well).

Was traveling from Arkansas to Illinois with a load of portable buildings. Had a flat at the tire shop at 1pm and they told me they couldn t fix it until 4pm! I begged them to rush me in because I had a deadline and they refused. I had a Jack with me but it was old and wouldn t work so I asked to use one of theirs just to put my spare on and they refused. I ended up having to call a tow company to come to the tire shop and help me change my tire!

I wouldn't suggest getting your car safety inspection here. I was there other day and they failed my car over my driver side window not going up and down. My window does go up and down, just have to repeatedly hit the button which i explained that to them.I expressed my concerns to them about my car not passing inspection because I knew my car failing for my window was incorrect. They said if I had any concerns I can go to that Highway Patrol station which I did. I was correct, Highway Patrol appeared to be concerned that they actually failed my car for my window. They got on the phone with them and had to explain to them the do's and don'ts of what is failing on a car what is passable. Makes me wonder how many cars they have failed over their lack of training.

Great and timely service! We are traveling back to Ohio from visiting family a few hours out from here, blew a tire on our camper and called this wonderful company. They got us back on the road within 20 minutes. The service writer even stepped up to get the tire done so we could get back on the road. Very kind staff and GREAT prices! I highly recommend!

Used John's Firestone for years and have never had a problem. Today I went in for a tire repair and they pointed out that the tires were much worse than I thought. Ended up needing all new tires. So thankful they squished me into their busy schedule today.

Went in for a state inspection and to shop tires that would soon be needed on both my vehicles. The worker at the desk was friendly and personable but when I mentioned I did not think my vehicle would pass the inspection because I d been hearing a bearing noise from the front end another employee came out of the office and asked when I d like to get the front end work done. I said I just wanted the inspection and to know if either bearing had play, if it did I would replace it myself and bring it back for the reinspection after I performed the repairs at home. The second employee told me he didn t have time to be looking at stuff for free and if I wasn t going to repair it there they were not interested in doing my inspection.I have not been back since and just continue to drive 30 miles to buy tires from an establishment that is always friendly when I go in for service even if it s a $12 inspection or $10 tire patch.

Charge a lot of money and are unhelpful. Seconds after leaving Firestone I had a new light pop up on my Acura. They said it was because I needed new tires (that's always the problem according to them). I take it to the Acura dealership in springfield, and they said it was a battery issue, which it was, and the problem was resolved for much less money. That's just one example. They are not across the board terrible, but for the amount they charge I would expect better service.

John's Firestone repeatedly gets it done for us, whether it be regular maintenance or an emergency. We blew a brake line in the middle of town once, and they were able to squeeze us in. Their prices are generally fair.I also think for women or students, they present a nice waiting area and communicate well with people without a lot of mechanical background. The location allows for downtown shopping/eating if you have a longer wait.

I'm so grateful for Tom, Greg and the other mechanics for getting my car in, finding the problem, & getting it fixed. They did a fantastic job on everything! Their fast and friendly service made a stressful situation almost painless. Rolla is very fortunate to have them!! Thank you guys so much!!

I chose to come here because my friend had a really good experience with them. They were able to fix an engine problem that other places couldn't find.I went in for an oil change and it was super fast. Only $30.However, when I went back to my car afterwards, my door handle on the driver's side was broken. They are paying to get it replaced so I'm thankful for that. They sent me to Al West Collision who will repair the damage once the part they order arrives.

Great local tire shop that treats customers with respect and doesn't try selling you anything you don't need. My wife took the car in one day while I was at work and they treated her great, not like some places who try to lie to women and make up repairs that don't need done. Told her how the brakes looked and they had plenty of life left as a courtesy and you can't beat the prices, a lot cheaper than the chain tire shops in town

I can t recommend this place enough. I hit something on the highway and was towed to the nearest tire shop which happened to be John s. When they realized I m not from the area and would be stranded without my car, they did what they could to squeeze me in almost immediately. They replaced my tires and had me back on the road within 2 hours!

I have never been to such a horrible place in my life. We took our (new to us) car to John's Firestone in rolla based on the 4 star rating. They asked us what we thought was wrong with the car we told them the alternator was bad and needed replaced and also the steering was bad specifically the rack and pinion but we knew there were other things and that we wanted everything in it that was bad to be fixed. That is on us for not doing more research and trusting complete strangers with our car. They fixed a bunch of things and said our car ran like new again. They charged us $1,054.02 for parts and $716.00 for labor which we were ok with and expecting to pay quite a bit. When I drove it home that Friday I didn't notice any problems however the next time I drove it the following monday everything I was experiencing before was exactly the same as if I never took it anywhere. We took it back again that day hoping they would honor the fact they didn't fix it instead they acted like we were new customers and charged us $222.61 for parts and $180.40 for labor. Some of the parts they supposedly "replaced" the first time to supposedly "replace" them again. The car already seems to be dragging as I just got the car back again. If it doesn't run great I can tell you they will see me in court and I will never ever take any vehicle back to those crooks again even if they were the last mechanics on earth. John's Firestone is a joke they deserve negative stars.

I am from out of town and my car broke down on I-44 about 20 miles west of Rolla. I had it towed here and I was very happy with the service. Turns out I spun a rod bearing and needed a new engine. I decided to go ahead and get the car fixed. Their quote on parts & labor was fair and reasonable. (My dad is a service manager at a automotive repair shop in St. Louis and their quote was comparable to what my dad estimated repairs would be.) The guys that run John's Firestone are professional and honest and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend!

Charged me for an alignment I didn't even need. Had a bad tire. Didn't tell me until AFTER I paid the bill. Dishonest! Hope the $59 you stole from me, was worth all the business you will lose, and all who ask where an honest shop is in Rolla. Not here

Went in for a patch, but came out with a brand new set of tires. I needed them! And, I got top rated tires for a very nice price. Great service, too.

I've been coming here for 35 years. Always excellent work and I don't trust anyone else in Rolla. There was a time they could have made a lot of money from me and I wouldn't have lnown difference but he didn't and pointed out to me so no one else would except they already had. I won't trust anyone else. Not saying no one else in Rolla can be trusted just I know for sure John's Firestone can. Years of service and trust.

Took the car in for inspection. They didn't honor my appointment time (not a big deal, I understand), and then THEY REPLACED PARTS ON MY CAR WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! It was only a $2 light bulb (they charged me $15 to replace it) but the principal of the matter dictates that they get permission before they add expenses above what I approved. They did not honor this principal. (If you check their YELP reviews you will find that this is not the first time John's Firestone has has done things to people's cars without their permission.)Also, my car smelled like an ashtray when I got it back.Would not go back.

Great service. Tom was so kind to fit my car in for breaks, he worked hard to fit around our schedule which I'm sure was difficult for him. Honest place and always satisfied with the results!

On August 6th my daughter and baby granddaughter were traveling through Rolla, MO when her car broke down. I did a Google search for auto repair centers in Rolla, MO and buy sheer luck I found John s Firestone. The mechanics at John s Firestone accurately diagnose the vehicle and located the problem in no time at all. It took a day for the part to be shipped into Rolla and shortly after that the car was ready to go.Because of extenuating circumstances, which were all my own fault, it took the mechanics longer to install the part than it normally would. The manager only charged me for the time the repair manual called out for, even though I insisted that I would pay him for the full time he had put into the repair. The people at Firestone are the most professional, honest and responsible mechanics that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I highly recommend the good people at John s Firestone for any automotive issues that you encounter.

My son is a Freshman at Rolla and his car would not start. He took it here to get it checked out and the guys were very honest and took care of us. We will be back. Very close to campus my son could walk to get his car.

Great for a damsel in distress. Just put my spare on for free when I couldn't get limits off and gave me an estimate for new tire when mine couldn't be repaired with no sales pressure. I love them, so respectful.
